This would get me to play Fed, other than my Ferengi who'd rather not be allied with them anyway. The Miranda will always be my favorite Fed ship and it should still be a viable option. It saw action during the Dominion War. Hell, make it a T5 3 pack and/or Fleet version... come on, Devs! :D

Considering the Excelsior has been in use for so long and has a tier 5 version I do not see why a Miranda that has also been in use for a long time should not have a tier 5 version as well.

More actual ships from the shows and movies I would really really like.

    I'd rather have a T5 NX-class. But if a T5 Miranda helps set a precedent for old T1 ships getting a boost, that's okay by me! :D

"Critics who say that the optimistic utopia Star Trek depicted is now outmoded forget the cultural context that gave birth to it: Star Trek was not a manifestation of optimism when optimism was easy. Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them."

The Miranda class is great and without her the Dominion War would have maybe ended differently.

Klingons are using the B'rel Bird Of Prey since the 23rd century and Starfleet is doing the same so give us a T5 Miranda class.

    +1

With a bit of a visual update (and the classic configuration as an Option).

25th century design updates and call it Reliant class and Saratoga class.

    Sure, why not.

In fact why stop there? Personally I'd love to see ALL levelling ships as T4 fleet variants - I say T4 because I see them on the same level stats wise as other T4 ships, perfectly capable for endgame craft but just under T5 which is mainly reserved for lock box, C Store and Fleet Module craft.

So yeah, all levelling ships that don't have a retrofit already as fleet versions for the 200k fleet credit pricetag. I'd snap up a T4 Vesper retrofit in a heartbeat.

T4 is Captain rank ships. T5 is anything endgame.

I think it would be awesome as a tactical cruiser.

If they were to use the Miranda form-factor to fill the fleet cruiser spot, I would suggest limiting the T-0 one to just the standard Miranda skin and allow the alternate parts at T-5 only.

T4 and Fleet Variant are incongruous in the way you are describing them.

They release the "Monster" Scimitar in a few days. How do you tell a Scimitar Monster Captain that his ship gets blown up by a T5 Miranda. I am a fan from the "classic" Star Trek but its complete unnecessary.

If you really want to fly a Miranda, I may have a workaround for you.

The Heavy Escort Carrier can be modified in such a way that it'll look like a new, upgraded version of the Miranda (somewhat at least). If you combine the Akira hull with otherwise Armitage costume parts, you'll get a ship that resembles the Miranda's nacelles under hull display.

It's not perfect of course, but it could be considered a post-TNG era Miranda variant. Just like how the Rhode Island was an upgraded version of the Nova.

Don't we have enough tier 5 ships that are not from a actual Star Trek show or movie already?

Their just are not enough actual Star Trek ships being flown IMO. I would love to see more actual Star Trek ships when I am flying around and doing other stuff.

Seeing a tier 5 Miranda being flown by people in Elite STF missions and other end game missions would be a welcomed sight.

this goes right back to patching a major overhaul, something along the lines of ships ranked by mass (+ size = + power).. i'm not sure they're willing to do that. yeah though, the fact Miranda can't sit in the same battle as a falchion due to stupid way the tiers are setup annoys me to no end. not to mention PvP can only be 5 players a side before the map gets filled with so many plot devices hardly anyone affords a computer that can handle it.

ALL BECAUSE OF ILL THOUGHT IDEAS. not an insult to the devs, I should just be one of them =P

    I like this idea!

For an added extra could we have Kahn whisper 'the game's not over' before the ship blows up :D

Well there IS that NX-class refit that was planned for the next cancelled season of Enterprise. The one with the secondary hull inclusion. Though honestly, the NX-class is so ancient, I wouldn't even give that above a tier-1...

btw I never understood why genesis was declared a failure?? the device blew up on Reliant in the mutara nebula turning the whole place into an entire planet that became unstable.. yet in STO mutara nebula is back and in borg space

the genesis device was never given a proper field test imo

Not the one seen in STO. Read the Store Description in the link (or in the store for that matter).

mutara class nebula's. not the original, but nebula's that share the same characteristics.

also, the original nebula wasnt entirely swallowed by the genesis device. nebulas contain enough matter for solar systems to form.

In theory JamJamz could work on the Miranda and the Constellation on the same time since the most of the parts are identical.
