For those of you with subscriptions I don't think you have anything to worry about. Last time this happened to me it said I was banned, and some more people had this problem as well. You should be able to see your accounts active once again when they revive the hamster.
Well this might explain why the NPC never would say anything even after relogging once and now I'm getting the same message. Can't authenticate. Means the authentication server is borked. AGAIN!
Last was what a week maybe two weeks ago. This is worse than Linden lab ever was.
Trying to claim my legacy pack for my new Romulan it shows as available but when i try to claim it says "unable to complete transaction (no reason given)." Any ideas? Others having the same issue also unable to take things out of the account bank

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of our hamster... barely a week old, it was put to work powering the farm. Cause of death was determined to be full systems failure brought on by being overworked and underfed.
The funeral will be held immediately. Please, no booze, especially if you're cryptic staff. Things around here tends to short out easily and with alcohol, fires tend to start.

Update: I was able to login by activating the launcher proxy, logging in, then disabling the proxy once authenticated... then launching the game.
For anyone else that wishes to try this... open the launcher, click options in the top-right, then select under the Proxy option, either US or EU (whichever applies to you). Then select OK at the bottom. A warning will pop-up, click OK once again. Then type your username/password and login. Before launching the game, go back into the Options and set Proxy to None. (This will make the game run faster overall as proxies are always slower than directly connecting to the game). Then click Engage, and you're done.
Probably related to the current log in issue - can't get to the Account Server to verify you have access to the item. Mail and Dilithium Exchange are probably none accessible too.

This is what happens when you use one server to run two games. Cost effective sure; Customer satisfaction, not so much :P
