We've been doing that for years its called Google, Facebook and Twitter. ;) What can I say my sanity is shaken by all this server downtime. :P Besides I'm not ashamed of my interest in Andorian Culture.

Oh yeah, that's why I've been avoiding those things, well except maye google, that's become something that could've been in Orwell's 1984 lol. As for sanity I think I left mine somewhere in college when I was younger, would be nice to know how it's doing! Andorian culture is nothing to be ashamed of, well not anymore, now there's more than one person who shares that interest XD

    Hi Captains,

While the team is working to bring up all Cryptic services, we will conduct this week's Holodeck maintenance to avoid scheduled downtime on Thursday.

    Patch note:

Focus target should now work on the French client again.

    Cheers,

    Brandon =/\=

If it was still a PTP game, I would agree. However since it's a FTP game, I don't see the point in giving everyone a free item when not everyone supports them (Money wise).

I use to pay here but awhile back stopped my gold membership because of the following reasons. There has been alot of server issues in the game. as far as paying i do not believe there has been enough new content added for the amount it costs. if they where to give something back to us for the lack of stability on their end they may get me to start paying once again. but i also dont think there is enough incentive to be a pay member over a free member. i mean wow you have to pay for 400 days to get a free ship and then you are paying 15 bucks a month for 10 bucks worth of in game money...... dont even get a discount on the credits either.

I never said anything about downtime. The quote whoever it was made from he thread was simply talking about the queue, and nothing about downtime.

P.S. That foundry mission in your sig looks epic!

Oh i know you didnt bud, i was just pointing it out and was too lazy to go back and quote his/her post.

    Thanks! :)

And hopefully less, since they were doing maintenance for a while before the new message came up.

When u get past that autoupdate window, then before you login on Press the Options button at the top.
Next, make sure these boxes have a check mark in them:
    Fast launch
    Disabled on-demand patching
    Press ok and thats it.

You should not experience the Auto-Update again

    Me again.

Forgive me if this has already been said, but is it a good idea to patch a server that went down unexpectedly (the thread title says "under investigation")?

Or maybe it just says that but the real cause is something they're not going to admit to (janitor tripped over the plug because the production server is currently sitting in someone's cubicle - it happens). And they brought the server back up with no connectivity (dot stays red for us), ran their diagnostics, certified it, documented the failure, and then brought it back down again to perform the maintenance.

Because no one in their right mind would patch a server that had crashed and they'd not yet determined root cause. Right?
