i got kicked tried starting launcher just said updating so i was about to uninstall and reinstall then i thought best check the forums and now im glad i did not uninstall to reinstall lol
Actually not talking about my fleet, but Ik you didn't read my thread thoroughly anyway. And I'd rather discuss something useful that will bring some real solutions than moan on server crash stuff that is OUT of our power to fix. We can however discuss and fix fleet issues and anything in game we want to solve when the servers are up again.
hmmm well if you want to put a stop to it......dont be one of those fleets perched at ESD when people leave it and send random invites:P just saying:rolleyes:
sorry but I read your post and your part of the problem, I have a small fleet that maybe behind compared to the mega fleet next door, but I am satisfied with how its going I do NOT spam invites and could care less to invite every other fleet less person in game. get off your soapbox and get on with just playing the game.
Iif having a fleet with a a couple of people is your idea of a prospering fleet, that's fine. But the fleet system does not work in such a manner to be successful and players consistently push to succeed. That's what I'm pointing out.
I should have seen this coming. Earlier I was heading to my KDF Star Base via TW and could for the life of me not dock. Then I found that the TW gate there is not responding, and that I could not even leave by going into STF. Eventually I logged out and back in and had to get a fleetmate to invite me to my own Star Base!!
Optimist ... someone who has just joined STO yesterday
(and thinks that this type of outage must be infrequent)
Realist ... someone who has been with STO for over a year, has only seen
server performance go downhill with every new game release put on the same hardware,
and worries about that the release of Legacy of Romulus will only make things worse
due to yet another lack of planning about server load.
Pessimist ... someone who thinks that when LOR is released,
the servers will never come up again.

A very good suggestion, I also have a good idea; How about making sure that when you run a recruitment drive, people just check the lists rather than inviting random passers by?
Seriously, On all of my toons I have my privacy set to not accept invites, yet avery five mins someone whispers me with an invite. Urge, to kill, RISING! -.-

Perfectly phrased, I would fall, happily enough, into the realist category.

I did actually waste my time reading your thread, and I see that you are just wasting people's time and you ARE spamming your silly, poorly written opinion. Said opinion TRIBBLE about big fleets spamming people and people getting annoyed enough to close off ALL unsolicited contact. So here you are, hijacking another thread. I won't reply again to you. My patience for that variety of B.S. is nill. Good day sir.

and yet again, most of us small fleets are making out just fine, we're sporting a damn near T4 SB with only 22 of us so we're growing how we want to grow. You're pushing for fleets to merge and take over/have the merging fleets provisions added to your own SB to finish it out. Go back to playing WoW

I may have missed most of this argument/discussion but our fleet manages just fine. Decent size and our members are constantly aiming to better themselves and pushing themselves to fill projects etc in order to get the benefits such as elite ship equipment etc.

Merica strikes again
2 years. I just have faith and understand the hard work that the engineers and team put in.
Have to say, your current sig is hilarious!
The Europeans petitioned Cryptic to do those unscheduled downtimes right after EU prime time. Seems like it did work!

Only fair, it usually happens during Europe prime time....

You know, there is absolutely no proof whatsoever that aliens are not causing these server crashes, you might be on to something;)
Apparently some forum posters have diplomatic immunity nowadays, where can I get mine? [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Murica, F yeah, wooohoooo! :P
A lot of 'spreading the wealth' does tend to happen in Europe.
Normal game play isn't affected. You can't get on, so you can't play the game. That's normal.

Tragically undermined by the company not buying appropriate hardware and redundancies.
1 Login system for all games?
Hey... Wanna join my fleet?
