Cannot join fleets

My KDF character cannot join a fleet. I receive the invitation, but when I hit accept, nothing happens.

Anyone else have this problem? It's only happening on one character. My other KDF character was able to join a fleet without any problems.

Clarification: This character was brand new and hasn't been in any fleet.

I have the same issue on my fed cahracter. Invite received-accepted but nothing.

Sure hope they fix it. No way I'll keep playing if i don't get fleet heavy escort carrier... Thats why i left my fleet temporarily to join other fleet with T5 shipyard... Funny how that worked out.

I'm assuming you have left your current fleet before trying to join another one?

Of course. I still have no ida what the cause of this bug is... I even invited myself from the same computer with my other char, and tge same-got invite, accepted but still without a fleet.

considering I discovered it while in the process of trying to make one makes it 10X as annoying.

i got same prob with 2 of my main fed toon's yesterday i dropped out of my main fleet too create a new 1 i was curious on stuff like what you can do when running a fleet i intended on leaving main toon in my main fleet and 1 toon running a small fleet to get the exp of how things work and what ya can do.
however when i created the fleet 3 of the people i created it with was in the fleet and the toon that should have been running it was not even in the fleet i thought it may have been because i had a toon in main fleet so i dropped that 1 out and still the same prob the invite is sent but when i accept nothing not even a error message,just to be sure i used a alt toon to get in too the fleet and assume control
however the 2 toons i dropped out of fleet can not join any fleet i have altered privacy setting backwards and forwards, changed maps,changed ships verified the game and still nothing for those 2 toon's can not get into any fleet
normally i would'nt mind but i have lobi,ships,and fleet weapons, dilithuim claims which cant be moved off these toon and i grinded my TRIBBLE off too get them otherwise i would just move all off and deleate the toons it would mean releveling a toon but thats something i could live with
however seen as this is not just a prob i am having i hope it gets fixed soon i am not a very patient person and i am ready too stop my monthly sub for gold membership and quit
i dont like being isolated outside my fleet as for some reason despite me turning fleet invites off i still get them when i switch too a toon that is in a fleet and switch back to a toon outside fleet

Been trying to get an alt into my fleet since friday, still getting this error.

hello peeps i posted on here on previous thread about this problem for some reason when creating a NEW fleet
you must leave old fleet,log out - log in then create
if you do not the toon you are trying too create the fleet with will get caught in limbo of not being in a fleet but not being able too accept invites either
this is because the game still havent recognize you left old fleet but in the same sense allows you too create one it leaves you with a fleet with a leader with " @ " as its name it cant be kicked,demoted nothing as it do not have full game handle just simply tells you that person dont exist
this is the games way of handling the fleet cretion when it still thinks your in a fleet
only way too solve is too disband the fleet [ make everyone in the fleet leave and kick the offline ones ]
this has and will fix the not being able too accept fleet invites
dont worry about leaving the "@" in the fleet as the game dont recognize it as a player the fleet vanishes as soon as this happens log out verify,log in and problem should be fixed
this has taken me all weekend to fix
and i have managed it without help of cryptic as i still have not received a answer to the ticket i logged GL all this has solved my problem hope it can help you too

Hi all,
this posted solution does not apply for the problem.

I was not creating a new fleet. I left one to join another, but couldn't.
I am fleetless and I'd like to know if anyone got a solution or an answer to tickets.

This problem seems to have gotten worse after last week updates.
Please post if you know hot to fix this !!

For those of you that left a fleet to join another one and are unable to do so have you contacted anyone in your old fleet to have them check the roster and make sure it no longer has you listed. Sounds like it might be a problem with the fleet system not fully completing the leave fleet command.

I just tried the method of looking up my former fleet's roster(thanks to the fleets members helping me) and seeing if my user was still there and its not. So i tried to join that fleet again and it does not allow me to, because im already joined with it. WHAT THE HECK! I also tried the fleet invites from others and its not working either.

Just an update...

this has been at the top of the gameplay bug forum for a week now and no official response and no response to my ticket

however after 24 hours it did correct itself and i was able to make a fleet
the @ sign is in the roster but i just ignore it

have had a problem with one person who was unable to join yesterday too
seems to be a new bug since the OP posted 2 days prior to me looking for a solution

I have two alts that left my fleet for a couple minutes, and once they left found they are unable to join any fleet. Tried 2 fleets so far, but same thing in each case - I press the Accept button and nothing happens. Then the person doing the invite gets an error if trying to reinvite saying that I have already been invited to the fleet.

I've done some testing on this and the reinvite only gives that error the first time after you hit accept, if they try again it will invite again, but nothing happens when you hit accept again. Goes like this:

• Invite to fleet
• Accept fleet invite
• Nothing happens
• Inviter reties and get an error saying already invite
• Inviter retries a 2nd time and is successful
• Accept fleet invite again
• Nothing happens

It just loops over and over like that, never works, have tried over a dozen times.

There are all sorts of rumors going around that this bug is "working as intended" by Cryptic. Reasons I have heard so far include:

a. Discourage fleets with multiple bases on the same faction
b. Prevent the sale of fleet marks or dilithium between players
c. Prevent the sale of bases themselves

I'm not saying I believe any of these, but Cryptic would do good to nip this one out quickly.

This happened to two of my toons today, have a GM help ticket in hopefully they can do something. Left a fleet, went to rejoin my old fleet and can't.

I filed a GM ticket in game, and just got a response back. No need to post the entire thing ... it basically said to report it as a bug and not report to a GM. So my two toons who are fleetless and unable to join any fleet shall remain fleetless for the time being :mad:

Oh the fleet invite spam........

I highly doubt any of those rumors are correct as I have other alts that were not in a fleet that are able to join just fine. Its just this 1 alt that refuses to join a damn fleet, not just mine but any fleet, even the random fleet invites that recruiters send can't be accepted.

It may be the game flagged you as anonymous. Try typing /unhide in the chat window, and then ask for the Fleet invite (it can block you from joining groups too.) If that doesn't work, the only other recourse is to file a GM ticket and then a /bug ticket.

Didn't work in mine either. The alt in question is one where i had fleet invites disabled and set to anonymous in the past, those settings have all been reset so it should be working now but isn't. Just wondering anyone else with this bug previously had there privacy settings set to anonymous or had fleet invites disabled?

Having the same problem too. Left my old fleet almost a week ago, decided to join a new one tonight. Got one toon in fine, my other 2 that I would also like to join it, having this problem, which sucks because those two are my better ones too, only my weakest toon was able to get in.

I am having the same issue. Left a fleet, logged out, then tried to accept a fleet invite multiple times, no go. Even tried to get invited back to my old fleet with no luck. Sent in a bug report to no avail.

I am also experiencing this bug. Matter of fact, one of my leadership buddies kicked two of his characters last week, left the fleet, and returned the next day... or mostly. His first character easily slipped right back into the fleet, the second one, it took us two days to get back in. We tried everything from ESD, sector space, entering a mission, recruiting from chat/an alt chat, Japori... and finally and randomly, his second character reentered the fleet after about 600 invites. The third is still out... which brings me to my current frustration.

Today, I decided I wanted a Fleet Multi Vector Advanced Escort, so I bought the C-store version first, for the module, and then found a very accommodating fleet who would sell me this Fleet version reasonably,... and after spending 30$ and 5 more for the fleet module... and leaving my Fleet... suprise suprise... I am in fleet space limbo, and NO SHIP! Fleetless... and I'm the leader of my fleet, good thing I have an alt. :mad:

Of course, we also reported this last week, and no response. I have to admit... I am sincerely disappointed with the consistant bugs in this game. It's not like a random roach ran across the floor, it's more like an infestation.
