The "warp arch" thing is an interesting idea that could be played with, but the execution on this ship is sloppy and unattractive. Its lines are pretty ungraceful, too, and not in the sharp utilitarian way the Connie's or Excelsior's are, so it can't even draw on that. It's just... not very good.
But Kestrel said forever ago she wanted to do a dark future after 2409.
I think it would be cool if this appeared as a heavily modded Enterprise-F from an alternate future, kinda like the 3-nacelled Dreadnaught Enterprise-D.
Maybe unlock a costume LIKE this for Odyssey owners who complete that content.
Love this alternate design, definitely agree, it would make a great 25th century dreadnought! Add an additional 3rd nacelle on the centre aft, dorsal engineering section, a Phaser Spinal Lance to the centre forward, ventral saucer section and a standard cloaking device with a science focused BOff station set up. Resulting in all good things... Right?

I could definitely see this as a Starfleet cruiser, especially if cleaned up a bit. Not an Oddy variant, but a whole 'nother ship. (Would make for an interesting Frankenship, though )
If cruisers were actually fun to play, I might have played it. I have an odyssey, among other items I've bought, because I didn't just want to play the game without paying.
Interesting, though I'd need to see it in 3D to truly get a feel for all the dimensions. The hardest part of making a good looking space ship is getting it looking right from every angle. So many fan designs look interesting from the base 2D prospective, but they just fall apart when you see them as a whole in 3D.
Still, the concept on this one it interesting enough. It's hardly as bad as many people are stating, though it's different enough that many won't see the appeal. Witch is perfectly fine.
Well, I'd definitely want the saucer section, neck design, and engineering hull + deflector parts as options for the Odyssey
The rest? Definitely the most unique take I've seen on a Starfleet ship, I'll admit that, but it just doesn't fit really. So I'll have to say no to the nacelle/pylon design thing going on there
Was named Trek17.
Been playing STO since Open Beta, and have never regarded anything as worse than 'meh', if only due to personal standards.
This reimagining of the Oddessy is sorry to say just plain ugly. The in game version is beautiful and elegant. The fan one lumpy awkward and just not nice. Sorry.
Monkey see, Monkey do. Monkey flings Feathered Monkey poo...
I love how people say "Its not a Star fleet vessel", that's a rather narrow minded way of looking at it, The Defiant class does not conform with typical Star fleet design (No neck, no pylons, no separate nacelles) but it exists because Star fleet advance their technology and ship designs. Its about time this game started moving forward with its ship designs, This game is not set in the Star Wars universe where they use basically the same technology and designs for hundreds if not thousands of years.

Pretty arrogant thing to say when the Defiant is a standard Starfleet Design. It was basically inspired off the Miranda as a modified Saucer with Warp Nacelles hinged on the sides, than off pylons.
But this Mod-Odyssey uses Ringed Warp Nacelles that are not standared with any Starfleet Vessel from the beginning all the way to the 26th Century. Even the Relativity did not use a Ring-Design, but more or less an intergrated Warp Nacelle. And let's not forget that the creator himself gave design rules that Federation ships had to follow, which this idea does not.
IMHO, there are better fan-made designs that Cryptic can put to use.
I agree with ship designs never changing. Seems like Starfleet is forever stuck on this tradition of "flying spoons." A change is not only needed, but long overdue. The Defiant Class, and the resulting subfamilies, are a great start indeed. Now the progress needs to continue on with the larger ships as well.
I kinda agree with people the oddy now its just to big to ugly plus i think it should have a more streamlines design like the one this persons done as its supposed to be a slipstream type ship yh voyagers kinda similar to the oddy except its smaller but hasnt got a like weird split in the middle of it and voyager couldnt handle slipstream as it wasnt streamlined to handle the stress plus the oddys similar plus theres nothing wrong with a ultra modern design as how do you think they did the enterprise J and it makes starfleet ships more futuristic

I can't wait to see the better designs from the naysayers.
Better designs? Well, there's the abomination that Cryptic modeled, and the original artist's continued improvement of the design to something that doesn't have borderline edritch geometry.
I'm actually somewhat impressed that the artist cited by the OP managed to make it look worse. I'm not going to buy the Odyssey because I think it looks awful, but I'd actually pay for the ability to unsee that.

Not so much for 2409.

With a few modifications it might be an interesting idea as the ship of a new alien species though. Maybe a Scoodian cruiser, lol.
I love saying Scoodian.
*shudder*
Not sure if bad troll, or really really good one.

Just no. I don't even...
