Is this like the other promo-codes where you just enter it after purchase and you have it?
I am planning on picking it up after work, but I am not sure what Steam is other than a game streamer.
I hope there are no issues with it.
As far as I know, you'd just take the product key, go to "My Account," login (and subsequently deal with the email verification), and add it to the "activate key" button. I haven't tried it yet, but I presume that'll be the best way to do it.

Ah contre. JamJamz was teasing everyone in TTS channel last night about a new ship coming "SECRET". TTS made a valiant attempt to draw the information from JamJamz. Bt he is made of stern stuff, he didn't crack.

Once you purchase it, you'll get a code and instructions on how to redeem it and claim it in-game.
Yeah, you can. It's very easy. Just take your Star Trek Online folder and stick it in Steam\steamapps\common. Then, tell Steam to install the game. It should detect the files.

So of course I thought of a few things it might be like maybe the KDF answer to the Vesta which is being launched Then there was the worry it might be another lockbox but wow to have to go thru steam to get something in game that really does take the cake... Was there concern that people might buy it intead of the vesta?Or was it just an issue that its only a 1200-1500 Zen ship even with the two unlocks and thats being kind.
Whaaaaaaaa? My favorite ST ship ninja'ed into the game!?! I only have one character, an ENG, and I truly appreciate that this ship is an eng-focused escort. I just cashed in proto tech this morning to get dhc's and such for my eventual move to an escort, what foruitous timing! I would prefer a ltc eng instead of tac boff slot, but i'll make it work.
I also want to ask if this is a steam exclusive, or will it be on the z-store? I'd rather buy it from cryptic directly w/ zen than mess w/ steam.

Call me a sucker, but for $9.99 I picked it up. You actually get two Steamrunners, a crappy low level one to match all the MK II garbage and the a refit Steamrunner with 4 fore and 3 aft weapons slots. I figured for the price, you get stuff you can sell or use on a new low-level toon. Still cheaper than $25 zen store.

When you go into Steam\steamapps there should be four folders, common,downloading,sourcemods and temp.
Then you copy and paste the STO folder into the common folder and ask steam to check for it by pressing download in the steam client. It should then find it.
The folder may only be there if you have downloaded games on steam before.
I just Purchased this, but it gave me no instructions on how to redeem it. I went to my cd keys for sto and a code for it was there, so I took that code and applied it to my perfect world account.
But the PWE account does not list it as added to the account, and I cannot find it in game.
Bran, Please re post the redemption instructions on the forum. As Steam did not provide them.

I haven't found any code yet. Reinstalling Steam it seems hell-bent on linking an account, which ends in asking for an unspecified key. What key? The key for this account, I got with the box, which after three years is god knows where? For the steam package I bought, which in the best case scenario is a broken computer's mailbox? Or a mystery key for this package that I never got?

When you claim the Steam pack under the "bundles" section in the C-Store, a box goes into your inventory. Open that up and you'll then have a few more boxes, including the 2 Steamrunners.

Steam will be updating the text for the VA version of the Steamrunner -- it should actually list a shield modifier of 1, not .7 .
