They have pretty much said the next c-store ship will be the Ambassador or the Andorian Broadsider. .

But the Regent doesn't get fighters. All we got with her is gas and a Wide Arc Quantum Torpedo (which won't be surprised becomes available in other variations).
The Galaxy-X, man she got royally....... you know.
Vesta has 2x the turn rate, can carry DHCs, plus it has the Phaser Lance, which was only unique to the G-X (for Federation that is). Even if they did go through with the Saucer Seperation for her and the Shotgun, I'm not sure if it would put her back in a positive light.
The Galaxy-X needs at least a fourth Tactical Console and Fighter Capability.

They really should re-think this as it is a similar concept to the Intrepids Ablative armor generator which will let you launch torps while active. That would make sense in this case as they don't really use much ship power to launch.
Unless you're a fan of the design, don't bother buying the ship for it's stats.
If the current trend continues (and there's absolutely 0 indication to believe that it's going to change any time soon), the Vesta will soon be yesterday's news, outclassed by an even more OP ship within the next few weeks.

I thought torps were always fired through shields - they just match the shield frequency. I can see the no energy weapons issue as the shield would already be a heavy drain.
T-10 minutes till we get the first real info - so is everyone buying a Vesta? Everyone should - heck if you are KDF only - re-roll a Fed and get a Vesta to!

Unless you could use the lance while separated. Which I doubt. We need a Fourth Tactical Console or at least a kick TRIBBLE fleet variant STAT.
i might get the vesta i dunno from the specs of it the oddy dominates it has twice as more hull as the vesta so im still torn between it coz im not looking for a tac ship im loooking for an engineers ship that the other thing

the hulls is fine as it is , otherwise it'd be an absolute monster , hell its powerful as it is , but remember this is a science ship , not a cruiser

There is NO ship of this size with that little hull - lock-boxes have more - I think the Dev's should at min make it on par with the Wells at 30k - which is much smaller and a sci shp!

For all those saying it doesn't have enough Hull. Think about this: They have to pack all the OP TRIBBLE it has in somewhere. This ship has up to 6 Extra Features (3 Consoles, A hangar, and 2 bonus pieces of equipment from the console set) that are sensitive equipment and not reinforced bulkheads.
Its big, but doesn't have a lot of space for solid bulkheads.
Just plunked down $50 with the extra Zen added and my 6000+ zen will be waiting for S7 to take delivery of my three new Ferraris ERRRRRRR Vesta Line ships.
