    You vaped my shuttle? :o

no, it's still there, cobwebs and dust and all! (I don't remember the last time i pulled out the shuttle :)

But yeah, I see what you're saying. You need EPtoS and TT to survive. But so does your enemy! Removing EPtoS wouldn't affect balance much, it would just lead to a lot faster battles. And then damage negating would be part of the game again. In a world where people didn't run EPtoS, even the few seconds you get from Jam would give you the upper hand! Acetone field could be the difference between living and dieing! (if it wasn't cleared by half the abilities in game). Actually detecting cloaked vessles becomes a priority!

I know it's a radical change, but because everyone worth anything is spamming the TRIBBLE out of EPtoS, it's pretty much a flat nerf. And if it's too strong a medicine, increase the resistance from shield power a little. If it's one thing we don't need, it's an ability that's up 24/7 on all ships in game :/

(And again, I fully support TT distibution! Give it debuff-clear on activation only, and we're good!)

The first time i put an engi in an escort, I said...

It would affect balance Tremendously, as Cruisers would become festering piles of refuse. Every fight (with people of Skill anyway) would be 5 escorts vs 5 escorts.

Jam sensors, aceton field will still Suck TRIBBLE. (they were never good to start with) infact fielding them would actively hinder your own damage potential for little to 0 payoff.

The problem is STO doesn't do passive damage reduction, like a Good MMO does. (see RIFT) it assumes you have active measures in place. Weapons, shields, the works would have to be redone for STO to exist without EPTS as it currently stands.

And frankly, you saw how bad they screwed the pooch on the skill tree, let alone Sci Resists. Do you honestly trust them not to TRIBBLE such a drastic swing up?

    I don't.

Infact there are very few companies I would even remotely trust to take such a drastic change in their game dynamics. And cryptic sure as hell ain't one of em.

Oh, I would trust them to TRIBBLE it up good! Then in a following emergency fix, TRIBBLE it up even more! But then, make something good come from it.

Name one good thing that has come out of the f2p skill tree. Or f2p in general.
    It's been 10 months now.

F2P in general? How about 40 new ship variants, a mugato pet...well, i could go on all day...

From the skill tree? Again, where to start? Resists against chronitons? Seperation of ground and space points? More sci efficiency per point spent? (sure, some sci skills got borked, but they are in the process of fixing) again, the list goes on....

You consider the lock box TRIBBLE, and starbase grind a Good Thing seriously? The two things that have nearly single handedly killed what is left of the ques?
You mean the resist that still doesn't work? You mean the sci skills that still don't work properly?

For me, the best new content is:

    - Ships with different configurations
    - Changes to boff abilities
    - Changes to underlying mechanics

and I've seen a lot of this since F2P. Sure, some of it is still on the fritz, but most is helping to make this a different game than it was 10 months ago. And thats like getting a new game to me. If it wasn't always changing, it couldn't possibly hold my interrest.

(forgot to mention! dispersal patterns! pure gold now! just that one change has provided me weeks of entertainment! :) )

I think you need to play some Good games for a while if this is all it takes to make you happy.
F2P to me has been nothing but one over all Deplorable Disappointment after another.
