What you are more likely to see is Cryptic selling single shot weapons that are guaranteed (or at least nearly so) kills, much like "gold" ammo in WoT.
Well that isn't really true about WOT. The Gold ammo in that game is better than regular yes; but it is hardly as OP as stuff is in STO... not by a longshot.:rolleyes:

I did that already on my starcruiser build. eng cruisers don't crank DPS anyway, so the ISO fit right at home there and actually -increased- my overall output and threat level. (well they can crank.. but it's pressure dps. and really a 14 percent difference isn't going to make or break me when I can slap down Heavy Burst with a lucky iso shot.) I ate my other tac console on the ship for my borg console.

I'm a tactical officer though, so I feel like I need to dish out as much damage as possible. Even if it's only, probably, a little more DPS (after modifiers, but before buffs).

As a tac or even a sci I would eat my eng consoles long before tac consoles.
I'm not sure where to ask this so I'll just ask here. The other night i was being hit with something that would grey-out all of my boff powers and I couldn't use any of them for about 10 seconds. What is this and what is the counter to it?
has anyone else noticed when PVPing against the temporal ships and mirror versions, that the model of the ship doesnt appear visually....and when attacking the ship ALL weapon fire goes toward the center of the map (but it somehow still hits the target lol)
I find this line of replies sadly hilarious. We put a lot of work into the massive list of fixes/changes above, and ya'll are hung up on the ability to skip our content. =p
