    I sense a great disterbance in the force. o.O

    So the dilithium exchange will have to be changed now to, would all our offers need to be removed before hand or will they be lost if kept up?

    I bet they will either a) transfer over to zen or b) be dumped and have to be re-setup.

    Q: I still have a Cryptic Points balance in STO/CO, what will happen to it?
    No points will be taken away when the currency is changed, instead, your balance will increase 20%

    Does this mean 25%? If I had 80 CP it should become 100 ZEN.

    100/80 = 1.25 or 25% increase

    Good point. Adding 20% to 80 only gets you 96 o.O

    Yes. You will notice all of your balances go up (if you have any), but that also means C-Store prices will increase (even though the actual conversion price to IRL currency stays the same as it was if it were C-Store Points). The dilithium exchange will be adjusted for this change, too.

    You may want to change that 20% to 25% in the FAQ, then. :wink:

    Well if it doesn't get messed up somehow i see this as a good change. I don't have a problem with it but quite a few people don't like converting the difference.

    There will be the convenience in that the prices will now be in US cents (or move two decimal places for cost in dollars). Oh, the T5 Akira is 2500 ZEN -- I immediately know that is $25.

    Will the dilithium exchange have its min/max values between 50-500 dilithium/ZEN, with a limit of 5000 ZEN per transaction (or will this get boosted by 25% to the stranger 6250?).

    Not surprised. At least we shouldn't get anymore "I converted Zen in to CP and got ripped off threads!" Now I look forward to "Crypric raised the prices in the C-Store!" threads. :rolleyes:

    Cryptic doesn't exist anymore as far as PWE is concerned, check the front page for proof, not a single mention of Cryptic being the developers of the game, just PWE.

    Well, this makes slightly more sense though. If Cryptic is owned by PWE it's perfectly logical to use the same currency. I mean, it's not like you see anyone on XBLA using anything but Microsoft Points. I'll let this one slide. :wink:

    Hey, whaddaya know, we got a forewarning post in the forums about this change.

    Doesn't change the fact they screwed up royally in failing to inform us of the scale of the forum "changes", but hey, it's a step. I'll take it.

    If you guys really wanted to calm down the rage you are continuing to bring out of your players, you would make sure the cpoint store prices stayed the same with this change. As it stands, you can expect loads of rage quits when those prices go up even though they are just adjusting based on the conversion.

    OHHH im sure zen goes up from 400 to 500 stipend, so will the prices go up more then 25%.

    Big deal huh?

    This is good news. Only problem with it is the numerous threads created that complain about everything in the C-Store being more expensive.

    Welll... to be honest... at least PWE gives a decent ZEN bouns every-once-in-awhile...

    Cryptic only gave us an occasional discount.

    Okay, I'm not really opposed to the CP->Zen conversion since it'll remove some confusion amongst the community after it gets implemented and the rage subsides. What I AM opposed to is the removal of Steam Wallet as a payment options. Why? Let me list the reasons...

    1) I like Steam Wallet. I don't have to bother with a website, I just click a button in the game and BAM, CPoints.
    2) My bank doesn't like PWE's credit card processing provider since its "suspicious." Plus, I'm not a fan of Moneybookers/Skrill due to issues I have with actions they took in recent years.
    3) I have no desire to have my Paypal information go anywhere near PWE since I do business through Paypal.
    4) Closest place to buy PWE Cards is an hour away and a half a tank of gas. Totally uneconomical.

    Which leaves...Google Checkout. Well, that'll work for me.

    Still not pleased about the loss of Steam Wallet though.

    Well, it's either that or the threads created that complain about the conversion rate by people that are really bad at math. :tongue:

    Cryptic Points will no longer be available through Steam, however, you can purchase ZEN for use in Cryptic Games. ZEN purchased for Champions Online through Steam will go directly into your ZEN balance in-game.

    Probably an oversight, but best to seek clarification...
