If anyone is looking to try out the Ferasan test fleet on Tribble, the fleet name is Ferasan Test Kitties. Just use it to test things and get an idea of what is coming up. Don't expend any real effort in it.

Saturday July 14 at 1:00PM CDT, we are going to run Terradome. There are no special rewards for completing it other than the experience. But I think we as a fleet should be able to handle it.
Meet me underneath the statue at Klingon Academy and we'll put together teams to run it. I also created a fleet event you can RSVP to.

Say...i noticed just today that we got a naming convention goin on for our base. Being an rp'r myself...i went and did some extensive research on the web into both caitian and kzinti history.
After a lot of extrapolation ive pretty much come to the conclusion that the ferasans are the sto version of the kizinti.
That being said i then researched the languages of both races...found some on both too i might add. Using this information i pieced together alot of the words and grammar and put this together.

Shadowcats,
If you have not voted, please do so. If I don't see any new votes over the next 48 hours, I'll consider this round done.
Also, I may do a longer survey and just do both final rounds at the same time. I'll explain more when I release that round.

Congratulations! We now have enough KHG Elite Commander Ferasans in our fleet to run the first ever Honor Guard Elite Commander Ferasan only STF, if everyone can get on at the same time. That's the following...
The 1st@sirepical
*Kujo@BladeDarkWing
*Ash'Tarr@hbarg
I'Zira@Ashkrik23
Megaera Nox@Alecto
*Rarely play on their Ferasan toon.
Also I'd like to add, Kujo got his set in THREE DAYS after the release of Ferasans. That makes my 6 day time sound weak in comparison... (At least I got a third set before anyone else :P)
An STF sometime with the people I just listed would be pretty fun me thinks.

If you could design a Ferasan ship, what type of ship would it be and what special ability would it have? Fancy typing up some specs and/or drawing a concept and linking the image? I'm going to give it a go over the next week or so, just for fun.

I have a description of what it should be in my mission Ferasa. The name would be "Ferasan Detrix Escort/Bird-of-Prey".

I just want to note that I think it would be a good idea to concentrate all of our contribution efforts for our fleet starbase into the military category of the grind, as unlocking those military tiers means that we unlock access to the fleet ships.

Well I've just sent out fleet mail covering our most up to date topic which is the fleet starbase name poll, as well as the other important bits, like that info I mentioned in my last post here and suggested joining chat channels to.
I basically advised everyone to drop by this forum thread which is where all the info is, you'll see. I really am looking forward to playing tomorrow night, though I'm trying not to get my hopes up to high. lol
I just want to note that I think it would be a good idea to concentrate all of our contribution efforts for our fleet starbase into the military category of the grind, as unlocking those military tiers means that we unlock access to the fleet ships.

based on my experience on tribble i disagree.
military is the more desirable one for sure but i would advice we dont totally ignore the others, at least at first. as it gets much much harder to unlock each tier, we can end up slowing overall base development right down at the expense of trying to get ships a few weeks sooner.
if we went 100% military it would take us 250'000 xp to get us a tier 5 shipyard and we would only then be able to build a tier 2 base.
the tier 4 and 5 shipyards are going to take months to make, so i would actually advise spreading resources out evenly at first. the tribble fleet has a tier 2 base, and is close to tier 3 construction after a few weeks by evenly spreading it out and have all 4 holdings built.
there will be advantages to unlocking the others in a lower tier or two and we should not ignore that. once we have a reasonable base and holdings and have the early things unlocked then i think we can tun to a more focused military production line.
going 100% military will hurt us for longer with a limited base at the expense of shaving a couple of weeks of our first fleet ships.
go all military at first just to get the shipyard 1 and a tier 1 base, then switch to the other two. then switch all to military again for the tier 2 shipyard, then bring the other 2 up to tier 2 after, then switch back to all military as we go for the tier 3 shipyard. military will always have priority in each new tier but we dont TRIBBLE over the other categories. we can then try to pump everything into military and go tier 4 and 5 shipyards.
I think it should be more accurate to say: If you are given the choice to contribute to Tactical or something else, always go with Tactical. If Tactical is full, then feel free to contribute to something else.
Everything will grow, it's just that we want tactical to grow a little faster.

I will get on right when Season 6 launches(?). I'll be sure all of the permissions are set correctly. Everyone will be able to contribute, but I will set the other privileges to equal our bank set up.

I'm going out to see some friends, and watch all the Indiana Jones movies, but I will catch up with you tomorrow!
Have fun!
EDIT
I'm over my friends house now, I've read your posts and approve of what Revo and Bob have posted, it makes sense. Basically what I was trying to say is that I think military should be the priority, we can designate secondary priorities. If you have the knowledge feel free to share in brief what Revo stated s well as more info about the update in the next fleet mail which will be available to send 24 hours passed the last mail I sent out last night.
I wont be able to play tonight but I'll definitely be online most of tomorrow to check out ll of the new stuff. We also discussed a few things on Twitter, mainly the permissions. I'm not sure exactly how many new permissions there re but we decided that "Contribution" permissions will be for everyone above the first rank and the permission to purchase items from the fleets stores will be set for those at the 6th rank Shadowcat Elite nd up for now. We can discuss this further/later on of course once we all have a good grasp on how the system works
I've been trying to log in on and off for 2 hours but I always time out connecting to the login server.
KITTY FURY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Edit: I now get to the character screen and I try to get in the game, but the servers are full, so I'm lucky enough to have to wait for 101 people to log off.
Lovely.
Further Edit: I'm in. YAY!!!!!!!

You must a Shadowcat Specialist or higher to contribute to fleet projects. There is a reason for this. If we allowed Initiates to contribute, they could join the fleet, contribute, and leave. While that works for starbase progression, it robs our fleet members the chance to acquire fleet credits.
Only Fleet Masters and Shadowcat Elites can manipulate our projects. What you see when you log in is the system we are going to use. Two tactical projects and alternating science and engineering projects. We will maintain this setup until we have sufficient Tactical Fleet Experience to max it out. We want to get to fleet starships as quickly as possible.
Fleet Marks will be the major hold up for all of our projects. So do fleet events whenever possible to build up as many as you can. The main projects have 20h counters. So you will have time to build up stock as we wait for them to run out.
I'll go back over this and send it as a fleet email tomorrow. That'll give me a chance to finalize some details.
Alecto, I sent you an email in-game to discuss a personnel proposition.

All above rank 1 should be able to invite non-fleet members to the fleet, because it helps members promote our fleet and socialise.
All above rank 1 should be able to contribute to the fleet, because new members shouln't be able to take credit away from older active members.
All above rank 5 (Shadowcat Elite and Master) should be able to purchase from the fleet stores, because they've been with us the longest, dedicated the most time and have worked for it, so deserve it.
Edit
Also this gives us more control, if a player wants something from a provisional store they can be temporarily be promoted to Shadowcat Elite to make the purchase and then be demoted at the discretion of the Shadowcat Masters.
/Edit
Only fleet leaders (Shadowcat Masters) should be able to manage the fleet holdings, because we're the Shadowcat Masters to put it simply and logically.
It's possible we may alter the rule we have in place that grants members access to the Shadowcat Elite rank (positively not negatively) but for now it stays as it is and I haven't made any changes to the fleet permissions Bob set because I want your feedback first.
Edit
Made a change to that last one there, reverting it back to allow Shadowcat Elite members to manage the fleet holdings as we realised that most special projects only take 30 minutes to complete so we'll need the extra management, but we also adjusted the rule for promoting Shadowcats up.
I haven't fully examined how this all works, but does the fleet take a loss whenever anyone uses the fleet store, thus only members with a certain standing... a fairly high standing may get access?
I see that you can only run two types of a catagory at once. this means my earlier concerns are not a problem as you are forced to run some science or engineering, so that fine.
I haven't fully examined how this all works, but does the fleet take a loss whenever anyone uses the fleet store, thus only members with a certain standing... a fairly high standing may get access?
yes you have to run provisioning missions to stock up. a new member could potentially have credits from another fleet, turn up and take everything in one go forcing us to run more provisioning missions. we dont really lose anything except time.

[redacted]The only change that will need to be made is removing access to the provisional store from the Specialists and removing holdings manipulation from the Elites.[/redacted] I already made the change.
Otherwise, I agree with all the above suggestions.
I really wish there was a way to limit contributions by percentage. For example, Specialists could only donate 25% of a project, Elites 50%, and Masters 100%. It'd be a lot easier.
