I understand the frustration of limiting provisions and then moving the goalposts after a system has gone live but this is very much a work in progress for all of us. In hindsight this would have been set up at the start but its difficult to tell how the system will work until we see it in action. fleet leaders are learning just as much as the rest of the fleet is about how it all works. there is never a good time to change something but it wont be any better the longer its left.
At the moment we are very much concerned that someone could steal everyone's hard work. not necessarily tomorrow or next week but perhaps 6 month or a year down the line so we have to plan for all occasions and a few extra restrictions that are not that difficult to overcome will be a huge benefit in the long run to save anyone trying to steal all of our hard work. sadly being generous and trusting may work 99.9% of the time but its the 0.1% that we have to account for.
We could change it again in the future based on experience of how its working or if cryptic make a change to the system (which they more than likely will at some point knowing them). so expect this to be quite fluid.
Very good statement; and yes we like any other fleet are at risk, there's always a risk. The one idea I do have which is fool proof, is to take away the permission to use provisioned stores from everyone but Shadowcat Masters and have fleet members request use of fleet stores via PM (chat or mail) in game, at which point a Shadowcat Master will temporarily turn on the permission for provisioned store use, but this wouldn't prevent a fleet member from using up all of the provisions that are available. Unfortunately there is no way to prevent that possibility at this time.
I hit 'like' on your video, I've been watched a few and do like what you're doing; I've always wanted to do a STO YouTube series which shows players things in game that they would not normally know because it's not something the game teaches you, but something you learn from others.
For example in your videos I've noticed that you never press X to aim before you fire while in ground combat. If you press X to aim you'll gain a 33% damage bonus, also crouching gives you a dodge bonus. Definitely something I advise all players practice, it's not something that can only be done in shooter mode, it works very well in RPG (original) mode.
I'm not demoting anybody. General grandfather rules apply. If you were promoted before this rule went into effect, your promotion stands. It took me just over a week to get to 100,000, so it isn't that bad of a rule.
I gotta ask, how? I've found the fleet defense which is never ready, one mission on nukia, and the colony thing? how else can you get merits unless you catch a project that's just starting? The mark route seems to be the one most are stuck with.

I ran colony invasion and that gave me 17 marks. That in turn gave me over 1,000 credits. So only 50 colony invasions = 50,000 credits. Yes it sounds a lot, but doing them during fleet mark events and contributing on projects whenever you can will get you to 50,000 real quick.
Some times it takes looking at when the next project goes up and getting on at that time. But if you run only the fleet marks, you can get there within a couple weeks. Remember, we have a two-month minimum time from Specialist to Elite. That two months is more than enough to time build up 50,000.

Do the events during bonus time. Last time I ran cullony invasion for 30 markies with bonus and blockade for 42 markies with bonus. 72 markies in half an hour.

Yes... and you can even do the events outside the bonus time and trade them in during the bonus time, while on cooldown you can do the int/ext hard or pve-fleetmark missions (if you are able to find a group, which is unfortunately hard for KDF).

There is another option currently online on tribble, you can convert 10k excess CXP (the Duty Officer XP) if you have more than 110k in any branch into fleemarks (75 normal, or 100 on crit)
Beta, LTA, CE, Multiple preorder Versions, all Addon Packs except AoY, nearly all KDF/Rom and ~50% of all Fedships, over 25 LockboxShips, Endurer of Atari's "Year of Hell", but...
Don't forget the credit pool bonuses. There are some 25k ones in the bank under special tab.
Those only affect your personal balance, not the leaderboard.

If you want credits the easiest one is dilithium with a 1:1 conversion.
it usually means waiting until a big project needs it and then being on at the right time but if you have 50k of dilithium (and are willing to part with it) then thats 50k of credits.

*rolleyes* yes, that IS the easy way, and we usually have already a half dozen people sitting and waiting for the last seconds of the running project (some *easy* 60-200k credit jumps), but on the other hand, we have now 3 misisons open for more than 24 hours with everything (including dilithium) but fleetmarks.
If you desperately want some fleetcredits make sure you have at least 200k REFINED dilithium and ask a Shadowcat Elite for a dilithium only missions as next mission, these mission durations is only 30 minutes, so no great loss for the Fleet.

Grind fleet marks and you'll get plenty. They are always in demand and always are good credits providing you grind them.
And, again, easy to build up 50,000 within the two months required to make Elite. So really, if you cannot build up 50,000 in two months, you don't need to be promoted to Elite anyway.

This Friday, I want to record a run through one of the Elite ground STFs for my youtube channel. I would like to have those that have experience running them. So arriving in your Honor Guard gear would be a plus. I will be commenting most of the time for the video and having the chat channel muted, so I will be mostly following your lead.
If you are interested, let me know. I am planning to start around 8:00PM US Central Time.

This is a message to let everyone know I realize how inactive I have been the past week. I have a ton going on and it looks like it's not stopping any time soon, but I'll get on when I can.

I should be able to make it, if you need an extra hand, but I'm only using a mk X set of honor guard.
That's fine. It wasn't an actual requirement. I'm just wanting to make sure I'm the only newb during this shindig.

I'm going to run it on Elite. It wouldn't be worth the video if we ran it on Normal. Besides, I think IGE is the only optional I've got and CGE is too hard to get the option. We can run KAGE.

you do realize the rumors are that mission costs like 200,000 dilithium.
the first two required 200k too, the first was filled within 15 minutes, the second took a while longer, i bet the third will be filled within 2-3 hours.

I agree. It shouldn't take too long. Plus, it allows some of those upset over the regular projects getting filled up too quickly to have a chance to spend some dilithium.

And 200,000 Dilithium to have some Targs running around our starbase ... no comment.
