Aren't these sort of programs usually centred around British Intelligence Agents?
*She stops when she realises she's been bombarding Terry with questions which, really, don't matter.*
Sorry.
My guess is that if the crew could shut down the holodeck on their end, they would have by now.
If we play the program to its conclusion, the holodeck should terminate.
Terry: My issue with this whole thing is that to access my databank you would have to cross within the Federation Security.. and have a substantial amount of knowledge of computer programing to set it up with out alerting me or Admiral Bright...
So my bet is that there is someone out there who is not exactly on our side on the ship, and whoever orders him around wants to see how well either one of us do. As for programs leaning more toward British agents.. Yes that is actually true.
Lenio: Entertain this hypothesis please, gentlemen. Suppose you had an infrared energy beam platform in geostationary orbit above your enemy and your enemy launched a thermo-nuclear attack. What would you do?
Lenio: Entertain this hypothesis please, gentlemen. Suppose you had an infrared energy beam platform in geostationary orbit above your enemy and your enemy launched a thermo-nuclear attack. What would you do?
Varnak: You would need intelligence and not be foolish enough to place it there under the guise of protection.

*Outside, O'Connor is examining the holodeck control panel.*
O'Connor: Colas.
*He waves Colas over. She kneels down beside him.*
Colas: Sir?
O'Connor: Have you received any instructions from our superiors?
Colas: No. Why?
*He gestures to a program rod hidden behind the access panel.*
O'Connor: That's why.
Okay, here's what we're going to do. If I ignore this, engineering will find it and I can't remove it without making the situation in the holodeck worse. I'm going to report to the Commander and tell him the truth.
Colas: Sir--
O'Connor: That the holodeck has been sabotaged by an unknown adversary.
*Colas lights up with relief as she nods.*
That's the truth. We don't know who did this - not really.
I want you to start investigating the crew. Start with the maintenance staff. Use the codeword and see if anyone responds.
Colas: Aye, sir.
*O'Connor replaces the panel and heads for the bridge.
Varnak: You would need intelligence and not be foolish enough to place it there under the guise of protection.
John: You're not very experienced with diplomacy, are you?
Lenio: Gentlemen, if you had the opportunity to study advanced technology, what--?
*Lenio stops himself.*
John: So it is true. An unknown species gave you the technology to build that weapon, didn't they?
*Lenio remains silent.*
Under the terms of the Cariman-Republic Treaty, I'm ordering you to remove that weapon and tell your forces to stand down, Chairman.
Lenio: Is that a threat, Captain?
John: I'll only tell you this once, Lenio; if that laser is fired, the Republic will side with the UFS and Cargan Alliance. We have a star ship on its way here as we speak. It will be here in 2 days, at which time you will see our... 'advanced technology'... in action.
Am I clear on this?
*Lenio remains silent., before swallowing.*
Lenio: I will... need a moment.
*John nods as he and Varnak are escorted outside.*
*Outside, O'Connor is examining the holodeck control panel.*
O'Connor: Colas.

Meanwhile, inside.*
Dani: So, what's our mission, Agent Allen?
Terry: We are to attend the card game out on Lake Como. We are to win the card game tournament and offer Bolivar protection from who he consorts with when they find out they have no money or worse.
*Wade's quarters, Fox is standing on the other end of it. *
Wade: You are sure of what you saw.
Fox: Funny thing about that is I am not known to be on mind altering drugs. It not possible with this suit.
Wade: Yeah about that operative.. **** creeps me out. Who did that to you?
Fox: Arms of the Federation government...
Wade: And you are working with them now...
Fox: Starfleet had little to do with it, it was in conjunction with the protectorates near the turn of the century...
Wade: Christ... who were they exactly.
Fox: I know I took down the facility by myself and went on a hunting spree for the better part of ten years destroying facility after facility. Though I thought I was done until I heard that voice again.
Wade: Damn.. It means we have a security problem and our head of security might be implicated.
Fox: You mean her second in line. The rod itself you can find in the panel hidden from sight.
John: You're not very experienced with diplomacy, are you?

Meanwhile, in the holodeck.*
Dani: Alright. I should warn you, unlike my mother, I am not too good at Poker.
That reminds me, my Mom said to tell you that you still owe her 30 credits.

Varnak: *Leans and looks at Lenio * It would explain your interest in meeting us so calmly given our technology.

John: Of course, you already have a giant death laser in orbit.
*Lenio looks back at them.*
Lenio: That's a slight exaggeration, Captain.
John: Really? A laser capable of delivering terajoules of thermal energy onto a target area of 20-100km? Sounds like a death laser to me.
Lenio: Is it not true that you yourselves operate such orbital defences?
John: That's different. Our Defense platforms aren't pointing down.
Lenio: Entertain this hypothesis please, gentlemen. Suppose you had an infrared energy beam platform in geostationary orbit above your enemy and your enemy launched a thermo-nuclear attack. What would you do?

*Fox and Wade let him enter.. *
Wade: We have found the rod responsible for the problem. Though what is concerning is the security problems.
Dani: I think I can do that.
But, if it doesn't work, how about I just break Bolivar's arm until he helps us?

OOC: Actually, Colas is innocent. She and O'Connor really are in the dark on this.
So, any guesses on who they're working for?

Besides, I recommended her for promotion. If she's betrayed her uniform, I should be the one to question her.
