Janeway: not to worry captain better late then never. You should be here just in time for the big event. How much did starfleet brief you on the situation here before your arrival?

Vosi Dax: Well we're aware that a massive anomaly of fluidic space has appeared and we're probably the best equipped ship to attempt to close it.

    Janeway chuckles a moment.

Janeway: I see starfleet command is still understating the problem to extremes.

Eve: *The suits also have a miniature SIF field from a power source to make them tougher* We've arrived, time to see what we're dealing with. *She checks the sensors on the bridge* I'm seeing... signs of humanoid life, and signs of synthetic life, there's a lot of signatures similar to those in older style androids and they outnumber the humanoid life by a large margin. Parts of the planet still have a demon class atmosphere, with the typical immense temperature gradients, and I'm picking up an interesting energy signature...

Eve: Well... it appears to be from a timeship. I can't tell if its Krenim, Future Federation, Na'kuhl or what. Its just the signature from a timedrive, probably what's causing the anomaly to begin with. Regardless of who it belongs too, we need to see if there are survivors from it, and get rid of them.

Janeway: we aren’t dealing with a single rift. The entire area affected by the Arcadia incident is able to support their singularities. They can appear anywhere in those three sectors of the expanse. It’s not as simple as closing one rift but securing these three sectors completely.

Eve: Probably. If they're federation then we might be able to send them home, but Krenim and other forces from the temporal liberation front are all considered extremely hostile. Plus, our leader really hates the Krenim.

Harper is in his ready room looking over a holo display of the area and the little details they have of the expanse thanks to the prowlers that ONI has inside of it.

    Harper: GAR display grids 1-5.

GAR: pulling them up now. There you are sir.

Harper: how long would it take to deploy the remaining defense satellites along the expanse?

GAR: at the current rate it would take a month.

Harper: well that won’t do us much good will it. Alright I want you to start calculating the best formation for engaging the undine when they strike. I’ll work on getting the remaining available UNSC ships here as well.

    GAR: yes sir.

Vosi Dax: We're still the most equipped for closing any rifts, or singularities that occur, we've been given a few... upgrades in preparation for something else that we believe will be of great use against this... incursion.

Janeway: let’s hope so. The biggest problem is that once in the expanse any type of Ftl drive won’t work. Impulse is all that can be used through all three sectors. I will be meeting with UNSC admiral Harper here shortly to discuss deployment to prepare for the coming assault. If we can repel that we then can move in and work and closing rifts.

Eve: Yeah. We can't beam down too close to the time ship, the radiation its emitting is likely to either warp us, or send us back or forward in time. We'll need to beam down around one of the settlements nearby, though I don't know if the humanoids or synthetics are a better choice, atleast with the humanoids we might be able to blend in until we make it closer to the ship. We can probably get away with beaming down some transportation too, but I'm a bit worried about something trying to shoot us while we're on a hoverbike.

Ooc: in fluidic space it would. But the Arcadia system and the surrounding areas where affected when the republic detonated the weapons that caused the Star to explode as well from the slipscae network as well making it unable to go to ftl in the area but opening the area up to the undine being able to get back into normal space.

Eve: Thank you. *she kisses her cheek then leads the way to the transporter pad and beams them down to the humanoid settlement. When they arrive they find a town in ruins, the town appears to be from around the early 2100s, before the founding of the federation and the architecture is very human in nature. However the lifesigns are not entirely human. The two of them have been beamed down into an alleyway* We need to find a spot around here for me to beam down the bikes where we know it's safe. There's what appears to be artillery cannons around this place, probably armed to shoot intruders, though with how this place looks it's a bit strange.

Jane: How'd a pre-Federation human settlement end up in Pegasus?

Eve: I don't know... maybe an abduction? We'd have to find someone to talk to to figure out more, or spy a little. I've heard of strange human settlements popping up every now and then, usually because of aliens who kidnapped and moved them, but I feel like if someone kidnapped humans from that time period we would have heard about it. It could've been the synthetics we detected from orbit I suppose.

Harper is in a conference room where he is speaking to General Kel admiral Narn and General Strauss via holo and fleet master R’tas is with him in the room.

Harper: so that’s the current situation. With the combined fleet currently I don’t think this is going to work. Even with our best efforts.

Kel: it would be impossible. We should pull back to defend our space as best we can.

Strauss: no our best option is to stand and fight here while we have a united effort. We may not get a chance to stop this attack again.

Narn: I must agree with Harper and Strauss. Our best option is to fight with the allied fleet while we have it here.

Harper: good. The remaining UNSC ships should arrive within 48 hours. We just need to make sure the undine don’t attack before that.

Narn: I am gathering a reserve force in sector Imemba 5. Worse case we fall back there and make a stand.

R’tas: we will have one chance. If we defeat them here it may be enough to convince them it isn’t worth the effort.
