Garrick: Evasive maneuvers. And focus on the ships firing the volleys.
*The Coalition ships keep swarming.*
Steele: Those citadel ships could be a problem later.
*The Enterprise and the other battleships plus the Indefatigable start focusing their fire on the Vaadwaur battleships, managing to destroy two in short order, although the battle is continuing to grow in intensity as more Vaadwaur ships engage directly.
CIC.*
Athena: Cruiser Division 3 has been broken and is regrouping with Division 6. The Turanian 3rd Squadron is reporting heavy losses.
Matt: Tell me the numbers Athena.
*The ship shakes as another torpedo volley hits.*
Athena: Numerical losses are pretty much even, but as a proportion of forces...
Matt: We're losing.
Athena: Badly.
*Outside, an SCV squadron makes a run on a Vaadwaur Battleship Division, losing three ships in the process but disabling two of the enemy's. Even so, the battle is beginning to turn from a stalemate into a Vaadwaur advantage, as more Republic screening vessels get torn apart by waves of Alliance ships.*
Admiral, we've got a Vaadwaur Cruiser Squadron coming in!
Matt: Battle Squadron, come to bearing 224, full impulse! Cruiser Division 6, intercept!
*The Vaadwaur cruisers are harassed by a division of Columbia-Class Cruisers, with the Battle Division opening up with all weapons as they evade, the R.S.S. Churchill taking heavy hits from torpedo volleys. The Indefatigable flies straight down the Vaadwaur formation, forcing them to scatter as the R.S.S. Yamato opens up with her ZPB lances, ripping two cruisers apart. Two more cruisers come about and begin making a run on the Enterprise.*
Steele: We could try using our transwarp cannon to take out one of their citadel ships and try to demoralize them. It worked pretty well back in our skirmishes with the unsc(the last time the unsc tried invading the federation).
Garrick: They just keep coming! launch a wide spread of torpedoes and fire at their engines.
OoC: The Transwarp cannon is functional and powerful. Every large Coalition ship has a version of this though only their dreadnoughts are capable of using it offensively. Normally when fired it opens a transwarp rift in front of the ship similar to transwarp gateways and conduits allowing reinforcements to be called in from a safe area(the reinforcements are limited by the size of the ship). A dreadnought however, can fire it into an enemy ship causing them to be torn apart and sucked into the transwarp rift. this causes catastrophic damage but requires a lot of power preventing it from being used often. However its a great show of force.

Husk: this complicates things.
Malick: no really I hadn't noticed.
Husk: I'll have to report this change back to my commanders in virgo. If the Dominion decide to come in full force this war will require many more ships and men.
Malick: do what you need to. I'm going to authorize my men to use as many subspace weapons as they can deploy. I don't care if they are used on military or civilian targets.

*A series of transwarp conduits open at one end of the corridor. After a moment, a swarm of scarab-like ships cascade from them, charging the Alliance Fleet.*
*As the Dominion fleet continues to swarm from their conduits, the fighters are joined by Jem'Hadar cruisers and battleships, sending the Alliance Fleet into a costly and bloody rout as they're caught between the two Confederation Fleets.*
Garrick: Just the kind of reinforcements we needed.
*After a vicious pursuit by the Jem'Hadar, the Alliance Fleet flees into the subspace corridors, reduced to less than 100 smaller vessels and only one battleship.
CIC. Matt sits back into a chair, sighing in relief as the Dominion Fleet takes station nearby.*
Garrick: I was under the impression the dominion wasn't interested in interfering directly but I am glad they showed up.
Benson: All hands, drop to Alert Stations.
*The lights raise to the alert stations yellow as the crew begin to clap.
Dalos Alpha Prime, Karlie's House. Sam is talking with Laura and Ruben in the living room before an aide hands her a PADD. Sam leans back and sighs in relief, before laughing giddily.*
Infinity The ship is badly damaged as it sits in a nebula with a small battle group.
Sheridan: what's our status?
Anne: well do you want the bad news or the worse news.
Sheridan: your making me hate ais
Anne: well the entire battle fleet is at about 35% combat efficiency. The infinity itself has damage on all decks and all major systems are operation on backup power.
Sheridan: how long till we can get repairs done.
Anne: we would need a major station to repair and it would take months .
" Now the gate has been unlatched headstones pushed aside; corpses shift and offer room ,a fate you must abide."
*The manoeuvre works, both cruisers being disabled and towed clear of the immediate area by a pair of Republic Destroyers.*
Matt: Do it.
*Steele's dreadnought does a picard maneuver and the vaadwaur and voth detect a transwarp signature for a moment before the cannon is fired. THe citadel ship it begins shredding and breaking apart at the point of impact before starting to be sucked into the vortex as the ship is ripped apart. after its done Steele's ship attempts to return to formation.*
*A number of Vaadwaur cruisers give chase as more ships try to fill the gap opened by the destruction of the citadel.
Meanwhile, the Alliance fleet continues to press the screen, more and more ships slipping through into the inner defence line.*
Athena: Admiral...
Matt: I see it...
All ships, prepare for withdrawal. We're going to fight our way through that gap!
Tech: Admiral, we're picking up subspace signatures!
Matt: Conduits?
Tech: Yes!
Matt: Oh, Hell...

*R.S.S. Enterprise. Garrick joins Matt in his Office for a communique with Admiral Hargrove.*
Hargrove: Congratulations, Admiral. You just won the war.
Matt: With respect, sir, we beat one Vaadwaur fleet.
Hargrove: Matt, you beat the Vaadwaur fleet. We finally broke their jamming signal and scanned their space with the Pathfinder Arrays. The Vaadwaur sent all but their patrol forces. They were trying to overwhelm us and force us to capitulate suddenly.
Janeway: so if we deploy here and here with the fighter support you think that will be enough?
Shrax: it should. The hardest part will be the ground fighting. If we deploy heavy units here and here that should even out the playing field. They have the advantage of being more prepared then we where and have multiple units on the ground.
Janeway: once your team's take out their defense grid we can also provide support from orbit. Alright Major get your men ready. Once we are in position your all begin doing your job.
Shrax nods as he walks out of the room Janeway turns back to the holiday display looking it over again.
" Now the gate has been unlatched headstones pushed aside; corpses shift and offer room ,a fate you must abide."
Ruben: Maybe things can start returning to normal now.

Garrick: That's good.
Hargrove: Captain, you have a skill for understatement.
Matt: I can redeploy the 5th Fleet to your position Admiral.
Hargrove: Not yet. As much as our strategic position in Delta is secure, we're going to have a long road ahead of us to finish off Free Delta.
Garrick: Hopefully its not a bumpy road.
Matt: Shall I at least send some of my forces to assist you?
Hargrove: Alright. Keep the militias with you for now - they may come in handy. And get CentCom to send you an Assault Ops Battalion - you're gonna need it.
Ruben: Maybe things can start returning to normal now.

Isa: your timing is bad malick. I've just secured my hold over the remnants of the Fallen and now you come asking my aide when the Dominion just routed one of your allies.
Malick: well it's good to see you again as well.
She gives him a look as she sets down her helmet.
Isa: how badly is it going.
Malick: if the Dominion had just set this one out I wouldn't have had to call for your help.
Isa: so let's talk.

*Meanwhile, S.S. Tora Ziyal. The Ziyal, after sending a distress call, has rendezvoused with the R.S.S. Columbia. Dani meets with Drake, Tara, Luke, Emma and M Samana.*
Drake: They disabled our warp engines and took off. By the time we were moving again, they were long gone.
Dani: They couldn't have gotten far. Their ship hasn't reached a fold-space beacon yet.
*Columbia. Mila is on patrol with the Columbia's Chief of Security, Lieutenant Commander James Weston.*
Weston: You okay, lieutenant? You've been quiet all morning.
Mila: I'm fine, sir.
Weston: Uh-huh, that why you've been glaring at the door to the brig everytime we've walked past?
*Mila doesn't say anything. Weston glances at the chronometer on the wall display.*
Carter: well they where going to get involved one way or another.
Fury: so now we will have to see what malick does. I'm assuming he has a plan if they came into the conflict.
Osman walks in
Osman: well in any case it would have pissed him off. Intel suggest he was counting on them taking out our fleet and putting the pressure on the republic

Osman: with Orion in custody he doesn't have many field officers.
Fury: agreed. With the way the war is going now for him he is going to be more elusive then ever. I'm getting as many people together as possible to try and attack the location. Take the info back with you. Talk about it with your government. If needed I'll do this myself.
Osman: not if I have anything to say about it director.
She takes the padd and nods as she starts to walk to the transporter padd .
Osman: I'll be in touch.
She nods as she beams out. Signaling republic command as she arrives in her ready room.

Troops and techs are rushing around the control center keeping clear of malick as they all know one wrong move could cost any of them their lives.
Husk: this complicates things.
Malick: no really I hadn't noticed.
Husk: I'll have to report this change back to my commanders in virgo. If the Dominion decide to come in full force this war will require many more ships and men.
