So, was that one of those times where you couldn't be faster at hitting the warp out button? Or did you attempt to stay and hope you weren't ignored by everyone else?
I ask nothing but that you remember me.

My vote is on him hoping he gets the invisible ship bug. XP

    I have one like that.

Log in, forget I was running with my level 20 buddy the night before. Sell some things, do some DOff stuff, then see in PublicEliteSTF a call for a CSE. Still wanting engine tech, I queue up. We warp in, aaaaaand... dumbass (aka me) is in his freebie Heavy Cruiser. XP XP XP

I have never died that many times in an ESTF before in my LIFE. Sufficed to say, the rest of that day I got the TRIBBLE trolled out of me by everyone in the channel. And I always triple checked which ship I was in for the next week and a half XD.
It is said the best weapon is one that is never fired. I disagree. The best weapon is one you only have to fire... once. B)

^^ Yet another reason why I pick one ship and stick with it instead of flipping among multiple. ;)

In my defense, it's no fun facerolling weakling NPCs with a fully mk XII decked sovy. So I went instead in a mk V decked out Heavy Cruiser. Much fairer. I was there to fly with my friend, as a wingman, not do it all for him.

Well, I had some engines equipped. But that was it.

Just said "er, sorry peeps. Didn't realise" in team chat and warped out straight away.

Tried a cure ground normal yesterday. Had one guy with injuries. First shield, they didn't knew how to set the charge on the turrets. I explained to them, how it worked.

First turret goes ok, second turret and 10 mins later, they still hadn't set the charge, bringing its health down, health goes up, shield goes up.

With S7, pugs have gotten really bad. People who have never tried a stf, don't even know what to do. So for me, I won't bother with any ground stf's.

I was refering to T5 ships more specifically, I guess I forgot to mention that. :)

    Golly gee wizzers!

What's with all the rainbow warriors! Every STF, every fleet run, every mission, it's one after another rainbow boat. Has the world gone nuts? Come on people! Grow a brain! Dump those rainbows and get some firepower! :P

Seriously, I ran three fleets and a cure normal today and didn't win any thanks to rainbows.

    Totally bummed. :o

This is Candyland, the land of skittles and rainbows and happy things! Seriously, the Borg are probably very happy with all the skittlescorts and rainbow cruisers now out there XD.

    That reminds me of something my dad said;

'Sooner or later the people inside those computers are going to get tired of being killed by the people outside those computers.'

I hope the people outside aren't throwing Skittles and Rainbows when the people inside retaliate. The people inside will surely learn from the mistakes of the people outside while the people outside can't learn from their own mistakes.

You imply that your average MMO player has a brain. And that their builds aren't the best builds around. Good luck selling that XD.

Lmao. That's a pretty odd interpretation. What part of it says the average MMO player has a brain?

Ahhhh. I see your misinterpretation. The MMO being the real person where the 'people inside' actually refers the the characters generated by the game.

    Still lmao.

The last 2 months of S6 I did countless STFs because there was a chance for a rare drop. The dilithium and the 4 canon sets and 2 Mk. XII (Omega and MACO) I got were just an added bonus. Since last week, I've spent no more than 4 hours playing. I'm not motivated to do so, nor do I feel gratification out of it.

Who says this isn't the appropriate thread, I count the new "reward" system as my worst STF experience. As annoying as rainbow warriors, AFKers and the like can be, they still can't compete with the season 7 change in contributing to an overall bad STF experience. At least the former are generally isolated to a few STFs now and then, the latter casts it shadow over every single one.

I agree, this is the "anything to do with STF" thread. Although the bad mission experiances are more fun.

I'm a little opposite. I've been running more STF's just so I could get the reputation up. I'm dissapointed though that I never did get the Maco or Omega XII shield regarless of how hard I tried or how many I ran, and there were thousands of attempts. Maybe I can eventually get them through the store. :o

    STF Manus...
During the boss fight, we cannot for the love of Kahless synchronize our button pushing to lower the force field.
We gave up after 30 minutes...

Yesterday in the Romulan rescue mission.
I see a scimitar to the side and team-chat that we free that one first. But......everyone heads to free a Romulan war bird on the far side instead of just turning a bit to free the Scimitar :(
Anyway when we did get to the scimmy, I took on the aggro from the tholian ships and started leading them away. But none of the others bothered to free the Scimitar while I had aggro from the tholians but waiting to first pound on and kill the tholian ships before freeing the Scimmy.

Looks like no one reads chat msgs anymore.. :( I kept telling them to ignore the tholian and just free the scimmy as this will cause the tholian TRIBBLE to warp away but no one listened

We still live!!!!! Hahahahahahahahaa! We live and we will conquer!!!!! Hahahahahaaha!

Well, the new 'Hive Space' STF has put a new meaning on this thread to me.

Worst STF experience? ANY instance of Hive Space. The constant one-shot kills. The constant plasma fire spam. The uber-weapons. The stupid respawn timer. The players in the PuG who tell you that you're doing it wrong (and subsequently wind up in respawn limbo themselves). Managing to kill one of the unimatrix 'cigar' ships only get stomped by the second one. Managing to kill both unimatrix 'cigar' ships only to get stomped by the Queen. The WHOLE TEAM being out of action (stuck in respawn).

There is NOTHING I like about that mission.

I have experienced the very same situations several times over. On 2 occasions however I managed to get a decent team. Never managed to succeed the first Optional though. The best I ever did was like twice the time it takes to win the Optional. The cigars are very easy with a good group. And forget what your BOFF says: stays close to the Queen so the ships can't use their lances. What really works well is when everyone goes on the far side of a ship and pound it like it Hell. It's very easy to do the Optional that way. Never managed to get the Optional for the Queen. And I hate the way she speaks: feels like she's reading a telegram: This STOP is STOP not STOP the STOP end! I STOP am STOP eternal

The worst STF Pugs I've experienced were always with Cure both Space and Ground but Ground being the worst by far...

I find Into the Hive Space Elite a really easy STF. Even with optional. Just don't die all the same time :D

    BUT KASE today -.-

We got a boy who called the cube on the lower right side and ran away just for starting shooting on the gateway on the left side. Of course the transformator on the left side was still online.
Than we had a sci in an Advanced Escort with BEAMS who was even unable to drop the shields on a probe!!! Shields on a probe  The new horror :P

Just now, ending at 10:30 Am eastern time, I had four worthless teamates who on their side of the map allowed 10 probes through on KASE, while I, on my lonesome, allowed Zero probes through. Maybe next time, they'll blow one gates so all 5 members can concentrate on the other. I hate PUGs I hope they fix the Queue problem soon.

Not worst experience, but very annoying, you can bet! I'll keep it short. ISE. Tac Cube. 2 Tac captains can't overaggro my sci in the Orb Weaver, firing it's 3 REAR TURRETS. And nothing else. I was trying to drop aggro as I'm not speced for tanking on this ship. And now the best part, so prepare yourself! As I've seen that I don't seem to ditch aggro, I stopped firing at all. And, you can already guess what happened... Nothing. I was still tanking for like 1-2 more minutes. And after I was doing 1-2 more shots, I got all the aggro back. Sad story, bro, sad story. People, I beg you, LTP!!!!.... /cries tears of blood

I queued for The Cure Found and it bugged out. I wasn't in it and couldn't rejoin the queue as it said I was in it. I logged out then restarted the game to fix it. I try to join again and I'm banned from joining any public queues.:(

I just now pugged into a Fleet Alert. I was just setting there and suddenly warped out.

I didn't even have my hands on the mouse or keyboard!

    No leaver penalty though.

Just a few games back, a true bona fide "STF Elite" (L0L) player rage quit on the team on Infected Space.

I swear this guy spent more time typing than firing his BEAMS.
Yeah...the creme de la creme...the top 1% of the STF pile...was pew-pew-pewing in an Odyssey beamboat.

It started off like "k noobs get gens to 10% then wait for me" then peeled off and sat out of harm's way.
So with shields melting to nothing and ships going boom, he shared his very incredibly valuable experience:
"stop dying noobs get some skills"

    At one point:
"rez stop running away and kill them"
I took 2 plasma torps from hell that put my hull in the 20's and the flames eating the rest.

So, even though the "10% strategy" doesn't work anymore (imo) we got the gens to 10% and this guy comes swooping in.
I guess he was going to use some type of superweapon/ability that only the very best of the best get at his Elite level to destroy all 4 gens at once (as the 10% strategy dictates).
For some reason, which shall forever remain a mystery for the ages, out of the near infinite directions he can make his run from he picks a high angle approach from the top of AND IN THE RANGE OF the "Devil's Gate".
So named because of the 1 shot kills it hands out now...like it did to our STF hero.

I watched the whole thing while I was regen'ing my hull.
    It was beautiful.
    "wtf noobs kill the spheres"
    L0L
It wasn't a TOTALLY disasterous run...he managed to take out 1 generator and damage the transformer.

"insert insults here" and rage quit.

It was funny, but it's the WORST experience in STF I've had because there are no elite players.
Just people who tricked themselves into thinking they are.
    It's a TEAM effort.
Most of you "elitists" have forgotten that.
    Want proof?
Run Khitomer Space Elite by yourself and find out.

    AND

The recent changes to Borg damage is ruining STF play.
    It's just not fun anymore.
    NO to ARC
