 Wait a second. That's not powerful at all. It's quite the opposite and fairly old hardware and I'm pretty sure you have something better or at least equivalent.
I'm just using all the advantages that STO offers, including all the helpful contributions from the community and the developer to make more or less pretty shots. Regular poster in this thread know that already but for new screenshoters, here is a link to get the basics for good screenshots.
Also, dauntlessf05 aka ZEF_STO made a helpful video for all those who like to watch a video tutorial.
Hah, it's still quite a bit ahead of my stuff. :P
Infinite possibilities have implications that could not be completely understood if you turned this entire universe into a giant supercomputer.

Yup. I should have known. LOL It's not the hardware, but the Wetware.

For the rig I have for all my shots and do all my videos
AMD Octacore 3.4Ghrz

4x 1.5TB HDDs
But yea, my screenshots, while I do put alot of work into them, mcakomx's shot are by far the best I've seen. I'm -still- learning the ins and outs of demorecord, and just when I think I've caught up to him, he puts out a shot like that Rommie ship ...so much win lol

Haha, we both know it's not a competition. Although, I wouldn't mind if we get our monthly screenshot contest back. That was always nice with a lot of good shots.

Dude, I have an idea! Send me an ingame mail @USS_Dauntless. I know I have you added on arc messenger also, but you and I are worlds apart :P
Here's a new one; my Tier #6 (Fleet) Negh'var. Having had a T5U Tor'khat for some time now, I felt the need to upgrade (without spending zen for a trait/console) so went straight for the Fleet version;
The Galor I managed to capture top right is a bonus, though that too looked quite nice kitted out with Nukara gear. Wish I'd got a shot now.
Okay, I don't know if these qualify as epic and there are certainly a few flaws I would like to work out if I had the graphics knowledge to do it but here goes...
As cmdrscarlet above mentioned, we don't get nearly enough Excelsior pictures in here, so here's my best.

You guys take amazing action shots. Do you have renderscale mapped to a keybind? Or are you simply running that high of a resolution?
I keybind my renderscale for normal gameplay, but I try to get most of my screenshots through demorecords. For the keybind to work, I have two bindfiles for 1 key. I'm not at home to double check, but I think they are:
What this does is change the renderscale while also changing the bind so the next time you press the key it will revert back to the normal renderscale.

I turn up the renderscale in Demorecord up to 3, and change the field of view settings. I currently have a 29" Ultra Wide monitor and run the game at 2560x1080, which is why my photos now are extra wide, and at a weirder resolution when I run renderscale at 3

There are 3 eclipses:
1. The eclipse
2. The Eclipse
3. The Eclipse eclipsing the eclipse, which is in, and of itself, an eclipse.
Probably should just name it "Eclipses"

I had a good look at these caps zoomed in...
The Devs seemed to really love hexigons, don't they?

Nice shots here too, especially the second.
That's actually the visual effect from the MACO Shields. I love the look that they give to ships
Thanks! The second one is my fave also.

Oh. Like the Reman one. It's hexy, too. Just green and black hexy.
Or did I already post this?
