You did nothing wrong. The outfit is not complete in the XI version ... only the elite version.

But looking at your image .... It definitely needs the arm pieces or it seems very very unbalanced.

And oddly enough, there isnt even an option for the arm pieces. Judging by other peoples screenshtos of XI armor, they have the wrist bracers. I dont have access to them, no idea why..but it looks really wrong without them.

So, male Klingons don't even get the bracers now? What the hell, Cryptic??

AH thats what it must be!! the male characters dont get the bracers. I hadnt thought it would be a gender related issue. This needs to be fixed.

I'm just interpreting what I see in this thread. We've had two screenshots of female klinks with bracers and one of your male klink without them.
Could be gender related, could be a bug on your end. Nobody knows for sure until more people complete the set (or Gozer tells us).

I actually did see a male Gorn player who was missing his bracers as well. It seems logical though, its as if they didnt even test this stuff.

Guess it's officially a common bug then. Either that or Cryptic are misandrists.

Maybe that's a good thing. Fixing the issue would provide an opportunity to redesign the XI Sets while they're at it, taking our suggestions into account.

Any Orion girls out there want to dance for him as encouragement?

Its too late for him he has turned to the dark side.

Gone are the days of something being valuable for its stats (mk xii stf gear) and now they are only considered valuable if they look bling

Morgomir, not sure if I was that Gorn you were refering to. I do have the Mk XI Klingon Honor Guard Ground set. Just wish Cryptic had a page, where you could see, what you visuals you will get for the sets. Come on Cryptic players want documentation, and not have to rely on third party sites.

    Suggestion
Sets have all costume pieces except the helmet at Mk XII
Mk X - Standard looking costume pieces.
Mk XI - Fancier looking costume pieces.
MK XII - Exactly like the npc armor seen at DS9 vendors. Very fancy looking costume pieces.

The ability to have the Veteran Shoulder pads, sashes, as a costume piece options. For the Feds, are the kit visuals compatible with the set visuals? When are the Klinks getting Kit visuals as well?

    HG Pulsewave
For ground weapons, can we please have for example the HG Pulsewave Rifle have the normal primary, secondary of that weapon type. With the underslung grenade launcher as an additional attack. Does this also cause Tacs grenade skills, to go on GCD?

    Elite Force Phaser Rifle
Based on the Phaser beam rifle, standard beam primary, split beam secondary, high density beam tertiary. attack. Or a longer range wide beam setting.

    Omega Force Carbine
Based on full auto rifle, pulse primary, cone pulse secondary, sniper shot tertiary attack.

The secondary and tertiary attacks, on these weapons, could have a shared or staggered cooldown.

I want the sets for the set bonuses (HG and MACO) and I'd have been quite happy with mk xi stats but I don't want my armor to look half finished.

Agreed ... What it boils down to is that we want the bonus stats these sets give ... but are proud of all the time we are putting into getting them complete and so want the armor to reflect that achievement.

Needs to look complete. (and fine with helmet and cape being Elite only.)

that looks ...ok, as a starter outfit maybe.

maybe give that away for playing your first STF ever in STO.
at 120 STF's i'd expect something rather epic looking...
    this looks, waaaaay to normal.
Not even like a combat armor.

    @OP:

i thought these things are supposed to be klingon space suits?
how can a spacesuit show cleavage without ...leaking air?

Probally because the cleavage is most likely some kind of window.
Makes sense since the display of cleavage almost seems to be some kind of a status symbol for females in Klingon Society.

It's not space suits ... It's battle armor.

Needs to look complete. (and fine with helmet and cape being Elite only.)

Part of the problem I think is that most of the shoulder/back gear that isn't included in the Vet version is attached to or dependent on the cloak. So by taking that part away, they had to remove the shoulder-furs, the back detail, and maybe even some of the chest components (it wraps across the breastplate).

The helmet all by itself looks great enough (for all 3 sets) to denote an "elite" suit, I think. The helmets all look fantastic. Throw the rest onto the Vet set, and put the current Vet into the Mk X version, and we'd be in good shape. Each component is optional, so people who don't like the capes can opt out of them (along with their dependent pieces).

    here is a question:

does the Mk X version unlock visuals the Mk XI does not have?

i mean, they all come with accolades, so the accolade hunters are going to want all 3 anyway for that alone.

so what i am asking is, do they have different pieces to mix and match or do you have all you ever want once you got the Mk XII version?

personally i would have taken a complete different approach to the costume unlocks.

i would not have made it with *grind* but with accolades.

let's say you get the basic clothing for completing your first STF.
then you get more aswesome looking ...shoes if you finish the Infected Ground optional objective.
then you get an awesome looking belt if you finish the Kithomer Accord Space optional objective...
when you got all optional objectives on normal you get a basic Helmet.

the same stuff for the Elite versions, just with more glowy bits etc.

the set items could still be grindy drops like they are now.

if you want chrome textures on your helmet's visor + armor -> you need the set item
if you want a wobbly energy shield effect when you get hit -> you need the actual shield
and you still gonna need the guns for the gun visuals, of course.

this would add fun, but reduce very little of the grind, and we would still feel cool showing off what we already got, even though it's not the ultra rare high end gear.

but this?... it feels like i got the cheap rip off, the plagiat of what i realy wanted...
i wanted the iPad! but only got this black and white Amazon Kindle... thing... and i HATE IT!

    -> it's all psychology!

this approach would give the player a tiny reward for every step of the way, encouraging him to keep going to get the next one.... (that is usually how any progression system works, even in Battlefield 3 you get more options and attachements for your Guns, the more you use them!).

instead we now have this... "do it 120 times to get the first basic version of the set, that doesn't even look like advertised, and if you want the advertised version, do the elite versions that are impossibly hard to do for PuGs, and no info on how often you will have to repeat them... no way to change a Space Shield drop that you got 3 times already into that one ground armor that you are still missing...
nope you have to get this exact one... oh and btw. don't even try the Mk XII set before you have all 3 parts or you will lose the Set Bonus from the Mk XI set you are using, even though they are the same set"

...yes this is a modern high tech MMO!

i like my version better somehow.

    your's feels like TORTURE...
it should feel like FUN! ...WANT MORE!!! got something!!! want MOOORE!...

I believe that the KDF Honor Guard Mk X set doesn't have any visuals at all (I could be mistaken, so if someone has it and they do, please correct me). I think that Omega is the only set that has a Mk X version.

Unlocking the Mk XI accolade also granted me the Mk X as well. So accolade hunters currently can skip the Mk X/XI grinds and go right for the elite stuff. By the time that they find any tech drops, they'll probably have the 120 EDCs for X anyway!

Huh... despite the patch notes specifying that the guys in the Omega booth would show the correct armor sets related to what is actually offered... nothing has changed.

Don't get your hopes up though, the tailor options haven't changed, either. ;)

I actually have no frakking idea what that sentence in the patch notes is supposed to mean. The npcs now look like the stuff they're selling?

They're selling three different versions of the set, all with a different look. Which one's the one they're suppossed to be wearing?? *confused*

If it's tha MK XII set, they already wore that, and the "change" was totally useless.

Lol typical after all that effort and one of the most pressing issues is that orions no longer have huge ***** :roll eyes:.

Should be able to have a sash on though the set looks pretty sick overall.

Also serious disapointed at the way they chosen to spread out the costume unlocks. All I really want is the full costume unlocks, I don't even care about a few stats.

Also I am one of the people who was under the impression we would only need the Mk XI set to unlock the full costume.
Both the Honor Guard and the MACO XI set looks bad and unfinished without the rest of the gear.
Only the Omega comes off as decent.

Also why no option to make our awayteam wear the costume parts? would love to beam down on a mission with my own special force team.
And why one weapon options to each set? also where is this bat'leth you showed in one of the preview images http://twitter.com/#!/Cryptic_Gozer/status/117314258588532736/photo/1/large

I am not even sure I feel like running the STFs now, knowning I can't get the full costumes.

Make the Mk XI set unlock the full costume!
Allow Duty Officers to wear the costumes!
And more weapon options for diffrent combos would be nice!

It's there. In the tailor, go to the last page and look to the top right. Select the set and it gives you the options for it ... separate and different from the standard uniform selections.

thank you , i will try that .

It would help if this was better explained to the players ?
