TRIBBLE Maintenance and Release Notes - October 13, 2011 Mk II

SystemSystem Member, NoReporting Posts: 178,019 Arc User
We will be bringing the Tribble server down for maintenance to apply a new update.
ST.16.20111010b.4

General:
  • The Defiant Retrofit and Galaxy X are now in the C-Store.
  • The Klingon promotion missions for commander and captain are now working as designed.
  • Promotion text now properly removes reference to dilithium costs where applicable.
  • Exploration tours (Explore 3 Delta Volanis systems, etc.) are no longer daily missions.
    • They can be repeated once every half hour for skill points.
    • A new daily mission allows you to gain dilithium once per day for completing an exploration tour.
      • Starfleet officers can acquire this mission from Lieutenant Grall
      • KDF officers acquire the mission from Lieutenant Atonone.
      • Completing any exploration tour will finish this mission and reward a stipend of dilithium.
  • Any players that lost Dilithium due to the previous build has that dilithium back.
    • The issue that caused this problem in the first place has been resolved.

Known Issues:
  • "Chart Azela Expanse" is still a daily that grants dilithium.

Salami previously hurt himself by saying 7:30 Pacific.. Let's see if he was right after all... another 11 Minutes by what I'm seeing on my Computer clock. :D

Is there a special reason why the Tribble server can no longer be selected from my launcher?

Color me very alarmed. Did something go wrong?

    Noooooooo lol.

On another note, an excellent change to the way the Exploration missions work in my opinion. :)

Bah! I'm pedaling as fast as I can!

I'll say that it's probably going to be exactly on time, 7:40PM, as i correctly predicted in my post from a few hours ago.

Dude, they publically tarred and feathered me for asking that in the other maintenance post.

    You think?

I liked the way it was before better. It gave a much better incentive to visit them all and to explore stuff all around. There's even accolades tied to exploring each and every star cluster. Before, each star cluster mission you chose to do a trio of gave you marks to help you build up your gear. Now, instead of being able to do those every 30 minutes for similar benefit, it's curtailed to be only once a day.

I don't see that as an improvement at all. I thought the point was to broaden the options and available playstyles/ways of advancement. I see this change as a major case of 'dropping the ball'.

I wasn't aware that alarmed was a color.

    It's just to annoy you.

Absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with maintenance/patching.

If macaroni can be a color in the crayon box, then alarmed should be too!

Yeah. I wasn't looking for a specific time. Just a general idea. Something like, "give us an hour or two". Or "it'll only be a few minutes". Just so i could get an idea of if I will have time to get on tonight. Didn't want to put good ole Salami on the spot. :p

Not until my attention was directed to it. 'Course, I spend little time in the forums normally.

I imagine it being some shade of red mixed with some other shade of red for a redtastic color.

    Yes and no.

The current way is in some ways better, you can grind up and get that gear you want, but when you rank up, the marks are useless.

On last weeks build, I found that after I had outlevelled the Clusters, they no longer awarded Dilithium.

With this current change, You can choose which one you want to do.

not mentioned yet in this thread, but should be :)

Exploration missions (3 missions in Delta Volanis for example) are NO LONGER a daily, they are now back to normal

so what happened to the dilithilum award? a new daily mission for completing them, separate from the original

I'll say that it's probably going to be 10 or 15 minutes late. Try not to kill me, I decided to give you a time instead of Soon™ for once ;)

    Well then....

*attaches nails and broken glass to then end of previously mentioned whip*

It had better be on time, this time!!

How do you know that he isn't into that? You might think you are threatening him, when actually you may be encouraging him to fail.

Some people roll like that. Odd but true.
