The following channels have been created for communication during the event week (feel free to join them now and begin planning mission runs, etc):
KAW-Help This is the official Klingon Awareness Week channel for help and questions KAWPvE The PvE planning and mission formation channel. KAWPvP The PvP planning and mission formation channel. KlingonAwarenessWeek The general chatter and Klingon chat channel for the week.
I joined all the chat channels, you might like to add the KDFassitance channel to the list as it's quite popular with 223 total members.
Sounds like a great way to be introduced to the KDF. I will endevour to roll up a klink at that time and give it a try. Honestly, the derth of content has kept me out of that end of the galaxy.

This is why I'm going to give out the 8 hour skill bonuses, to help with that lack of content. Though since I only have so many I'm going to do the trivia questions, and keep track of people who've won so everyone has even chance.
Right now the Klingon players are planning this. It's about getting organized so you guys have something to show. I rather this happens here, where the Klingon players roam, without being bullied, pestered or other by players who simply don't want "yet another Klingon Thread". We have a lot of these, many of them are duplicate topics. I want you guys to walk onto the stage ready, prepared and armed with something that can in fact win you new players.
Once you have plans and are ready to have the week hit - I'll put up the word for you and we can make a sticky with a schedule, plans and similar.
Go ahead and put me down for PvE stuff (particularly FEs and the 8 Klingon-only missions). I'll still be around to help in other areas, though, including helping out on Qo'nos when I'm available. I don't have any set times, though evening (around 7 or 8 PST) is the best.
I'd like to see if there are people who have a preference for FEs and who can be on specific nights during the week.
This way we can schedule FE series' each night...
Thinking:
Breen Series Sunday and Wed
Devidian Series Mon and Thur
Romulan Series Tue and Fri
With KDF Only content everynight
PvP Everynight
STF every night
And a big party no Qo'Nos Saturday alone with a free for all of PvP/PvE if people want to make impromptu teams...
Yeah I like this attempt per say to put life into the KDF. The problem I see is that I have to have tried to help over 75 people now with the KDF side. The main grind to get geared up is the sorties and I had one guy out of those 75+ people I tried to teach actually grasp the concept on how to do the tiny bit of KDF content we have and they just uber failed. Unless Cryptic dumbs down the sorties a vast majority of people will be fed only. Fed side doesn't really require you to use any tactics, just show up and get a medal for participation but on our KDF side you have to be that warrior who gets the job done.
I'm leaning towards KDF-only PvE content - Foundry missions, sorties, and the eight dev-created PvE missions. Featured Episodes are fun and all, but chances are people have already done them on their Fed characters. I wanna show Feddies what the KDF has to offer!
I'll be around as often as I can as well and am willing to help where needed. @kahn is my handle. I'm mostly on in the evenings and on most of the day on the weekends.
...hrm, just had a thought... Anyone think it would it be worth doing "Path of the Warrior" runs? I.e., pre-scheduled sortie runs each night? If there's interest, I'd be willing to "lead" two or three nights.
("Lead" in quotes as I'd announce it and send out invites, but otherwise just be generally goofy)
If I just stated "Themes" for each night (as mentioned above FE runs plus other things) would general volunteers be willing to run those items?
I'm more concerned with just having people on and ready to start/lead/assist teams and get new Klingons interested in the KDF but if we can have more focused theme nights that'd be good too.
I am usually the late night player (online after 9pm Pacific). Given that it is past the usual prime time, probably best if I just remain flexible for whatever people are in need of. Helping with featured episodes are great, but honestly, I think we should focus more on KDF unique content. Unless they are completely new to STO, they probably have already done all the featured episodes on the Fed side. Nothing unique about doing it on the KDF side. Really, the only reason to do it on the KDF side is for the XP and some of the unique rewards.
Personally, I think we should showcase the KDF PVE content. If you have a LG, you can get the missions through mission replay, and then share it with the lowbees. Perhaps organize some PVP. Do the Pi Canis sorties. Even the new cargo raids (open PVP), although probably would want to make sure it is working properly first, and do it with an organized team.

Not a bad idea actually - it'd probably be easier to get teams together and organized if people know what events are happening which nights and can plan accordingly.

I agree with this. It's why FEs and PvE are two separate things in my OP. However, since this is KDF Awareness Week and not KDF Awareness Day I wanted to open it up some so people have more than one day's worth of PvE content
Part of the reason for this event is to get more players into the KDF, show them how much fun it is. Showing that there's a large (and growing) population for that faction will then highlight the severe lack of KDF only content which hopefully encourages more energy to be put towards that

LOL. Point taken. But I think it would be great to have just more than 1 time for each mission. Not everyone will be online at the same time, or online everyday. You could consider running "Bringing down the House" (just using this as an example) on Mon, Wed, and Fri of that week. Or even at certain times everyday of that week.
A suggestion that I would like to make to you is to make a list of ALL the KDF storyline missions, and then spread it out through the week with multiple runs each day, sort of like a movie theatre. Then you can have a schedule. Post it here in this thread, and have people sign up to lead the events. You've got plenty of volunteers here. Then we will have something actually concrete organized.
I've been looking to level my Gorn eng more and even if Season 4 isn't out yet, I'd love to use this event to jumpstart my KDF toon (I've already started leveling and learning my ship/skills in anticipation of this).
I'd like to check out the KDF-specific PvE content, run some STFs (which I still haven't done much with my Fed main/alt), and maybe learn some PvP tactics.
I'll be on mostly during the day PDT and late night PDT kind of randomly due to RL but I can plan a little in advance if things get scheduled that way.

PS, I posted on my fleet forums to raise interest in this event. I'll be representing the House of Nagh reD,
I'm impressed, thank you.

Anyone want to take any specific duties?

KDF are awesome.
This is awesome.
STO is awesome.
