I think I have a 6th character slot remaining, so I will create a Kling character and participate in this event.
After all the Romulan faction won't happen any time soon.
Depending on what my family has planed for the days of that week I might very well be available at any time between 9am and 12am. Obviously not all the time, and not every day, as I do have some sort of life
I believe the KDF Alliance would be willing to participate. I will attempt to be there myself and bring as many as i can. I believe I can bring 5-10 veteran players to aid in "newb" questions. I will let you know an official count soon.
We have Klingons from all kinds of time zones. I'm sure something can be found.
Indeed. I wouldn't mind teaming up with others to help level Klingons, or assist them through the start-up part of the game. Just contact me when you see me online.
Right now the Klingon players are planning this. It's about getting organized so you guys have something to show. I rather this happens here, where the Klingon players roam, without being bullied, pestered or other by players who simply don't want "yet another Klingon Thread". We have a lot of these, many of them are duplicate topics. I want you guys to walk onto the stage ready, prepared and armed with something that can in fact win you new players.
Once you have plans and are ready to have the week hit - I'll put up the word for you and we can make a sticky with a schedule, plans and similar.
people who go to the kdf forum are already aware of the kdf and really don't need it.

However Wishy has helped by making this thread a sticky and by posting in this thread 3 times, meaning that it's posted in the Dev tracker both here and on Twitter 3 times.
Players in this thread should use all there resources to simply spread the word, Borticus has the most influence after Wishy and he's all-ready stated that he'll give this event a mention on STOked so it's all good.
Just get the message out to people on Facebook, Twitter or send a message about it via your Fed toon using zone chat at a populated location once or twice per day.
I would specifically like to run, or lead a team through, multiple Klingon Foundry missions.
Let's see what people have put out there!
I will be recruiting and running teams through Klingon Foundry Missions for this event.
I will be making extensive use of the Klingon Experience list made up by Darren Kiltor.
But if you are a Foundry maker and would like me to put your mission at the top of my list, send me a PM. Some people have already begun to do this, and I much appreciate it. If you have multiple missions, send me the one which is LOWEST in level. We're going to have Klingon newbies running around, and my own Prince Khamlet Is only a Lt. Commander.
Not to be a drag, but the STFs will be, shall we say, 'different' when season 4 launches. They will not be finished at launch, but there are already changes that have been made. For instance, the interlink nodes are now gone. Noticed this on Cure on Tribble server last night (it was just me and another guy testing out the borg ground combat changes, so we figured the cure would be a good place, so we didn't actually do any of the gates). I think leading some people through the STFs are a great idea, but just be warned that they may not be as expected.
I know this already. I hope to get my fleet to run it with me when it goes live, so I can learn whats new. I'm holding off from tribble, due to being out of town, also whatever I learn there might not be the final version.
If you have a specific event type you'd like to run please reply with that even and ANY times you'll be online to run this. I personally plan to stay on Qo'Nos and run tours whenever possible to get new players acclimated to the city/great hall.
If your global handle is NOT the same as your posting name please post your global handle in reply to this.
If you have a fleet that will be assisting please state the name of the fleet and ask those in said fleet to post in this thread so I can gather names, planned activities, and times for these things so I can update the OP.
I'm also going to get materials together and have raffles for KDF players from my Klink's personal stores for various items TBD by the end of this week coming.
KBF fully supports this idea and a post has been made in our fleet forums about it.
We are a small fleet but are subscribed to the KDF Alliance chat.
We'll cya there.

The festivities are scheduled for July 10th thru July 16th, whether Season 4 is up or not.
If you'd like to volunteer to lead a group or are interested in joining in on this event please post here with your choice of events and global handle.

Kalec@Alecto will be happy to stick around Qo'noS and offer his assistance to new players, and give tours also.
Bare in mind though, that if season 4 is live when this event happens, the new First City map will be patched in which means a lot of KDF players will be really confused about were things are.
I created a KDF character this morning and was surprised to find that the character creator for KDF characters is just as good as the one for Feds. One can create from several species allied with the Klingons (Gorn, Nausicaan, Orion, etc).
Now I am lost and don't know what do do next. I did not even have to do the tutorial I had to do each time I created a Federation character. I would not have minded having to do a KDF tutorial just once.
So can someone please point me in the right direction? I will start playing as my new character tomorrow.

What time zone are you in? I might be able to help you in game tomorrow, but from what I remember new KDF characters are instantly given a bunch of skill points to work with from the start so the first thing you want to do is "skill up" by putting points into the skills that are going to help you early on.
The way missions work on the KDF side is exactly the same as the way they do on the Fed side. Press J, check your available missions, check your missions in progress by changing tabs. While checking missions in progress you can make any one mission your primary mission, there's a button at the bottom of the window. Doing that will bring the mission to the top of your mission tracker on the right of your screen and make circles on your map orange. Don't forget to use the map by pressing M, and look for the circles on the map and scan for objects that you can interact with by pressing V.
The first mission if I remember correctly will just have you run around the Great Hall talking to some people which is designed to get the player to explore the area and I think there's some ground combat in the arena.
Don't be afraid to get yourself into the PvP queue early on, there's nothing to loose but a lot to gain. Just click the "More" button underneath your mini map, default location is the top right of your screen. You can press F12 to rearrange the UI components.
Top tip: Pressing Y when in ground combat will command your Bridge Officers (BOffs) to attack your target.
1. I will be available for most if not all of the week.
2. As a member of the Blade Radio staff I will be asking some Star Trek and generally Klingon related trivia questions to our younger warriors, prizes will be one of ten 8 hour skill bonuses. Only 1 prize per @handle however since I want everyone to be able to participate and enjoy. Trivia range from difficult, to the level of questions that had some blade radio listeners calling me a Chinese Trivia Bot, so expect a challenge.

I am in Pacific Standard Time zone.
I noticed that once I created my character, I received skill points or accolades without having to do anything. I just looked around the Great Hall and there seemed to be NPC's there with things to say.
Tomorrow, (8am PST), I will talk to the characters and try to find out how I can get the KDF version of Azura Comm Code and then do some PvP in order to get accustomed to a Klingon ship.
BTW what section of the forums is the appropriate place to post my KDF newbie questions? I posted a few in the general gameplay area because there did not seem to be a place for newbie KDF questions.

Will this take place in zone/local chat (I assume but want clarification for the OP edit)

The appropriate place for any type of question to be posted by a new player is in "The Academy", this section is for Klingon gameplay feedback, but the section I just linked is specifically for questions about Star Trek Online and how things work.
The Klingon mission "Bringing Down the House" will drant you the reward of a VovwI Personal Com Code. Required level is Lieutenant grade 10.
Local chat, but answers will need to be PM'd to me since i'll be taking the '5th' answer or '7th correct answer' or so on like they do on radio stations.

Will any Devs be attending this event?
I'll try to get an announcement for this event inserted into STOked, either this week or next.
