Anyone gotten an EMH on holodeck yet? I haven't seen one on holodeck, and it just came up in the doffsjob channel that a couple others haven't yet either.
I was airlocking them in batches on tribble, so I hesitate to just say bad luck. Heretic, any chance you're going forward with the idea you posted a few weeks back?
What exactly is the filter on the request page for? I requested certain traits and abilities before I purchased my pack and I got no where near the DOFF's that I requested via that filter.
The filter's on everything that shows a list of doffs - it filters what's shown, not what you get. Useful if you just opened a ton of packs at once and only care about the blues or want to see if you finally got a security officer out of it, but not to influence which ones you get.

I haven't seen any myself yet. I have seen a couple of DOFF missions that needed one though.

Those don't have anything to do with the doffs you get via purchase. That's a search function for matching/anti-matching your already-possessed doffs against the missions you're thinking about running.
The two columns of checkboxes correspond to "Must Have This Trait" and "Must Not Have This Trait." So if you want, for example, doffs that have Eidetic Memory and Logical and which DON'T have Aggressive and Unruly, you'd mark Eidetic Memory and Logical in the first column's boxes, and mark Aggressive and Unruly in the second column's boxes. You can mark as many or as few as you need, but I suggest only starting with one or two at a time, at least until you have a nice big pile of doffs.
It isn't apparent when you have low numbers of doffs to play with, but as you add more, the utility of this feature will become apparent. It really helps in min-maxing your chances of having a particular mission come out successfully or not. It is, IMO, really worth it to score a few Critical Successes as opposed to a pile of just plain Successes. I've picked up two blue pieces of Mk XI gear via CritSuccs so far, and one (relatively) large pile of Dilithium. I've also scored several rare particle traces as well.
Pay close attention to all the percentage chances in the pie graph and consider how much risk/certainty you can live with. Steady successes will inevitably grind you towards rank-up. Occasional CritSuccs will do the same, but with a much more Vegas flavor that some players might enjoy more. As with anything STO, it all comes down to your playing style and how you want to enjoy the game.
Eureka! Just found a new avenue that I hadn't realized. Once you get a DOFF from a given tier by reaching that commendation (i.e. Development 1 gives you a Green) from Ferra's store, the rest of the ones from that list are unlocked for purchase with Dilithium! The low green ones are only 1000, and the costs scale up until purples are 12,000 (for those with capped diplomacy).
Yep. That was a late addition in the testing cycle. On Tribble they weren't unique, so there was a bit of PTW baloney attached to it about people dumping money into the system to get 100 purples. They're unique now, though, but it's still a very nice head start being able to drop some dilithium and get 10 greens, 5 blues and 5 purples right out of the gate. By the time you get 5 or 6 tier 1/2 commendations, you can eliminate white doffs entirely.

EMHs have not been added back to the system. When they are added, the current plan is they will be able to be replicated from your Replicator if you have achieved certain tiers in certain commendation categories.
I hadn't realized the filter was on the Request Duty Officer page, to be honest. I'll see about getting that removed to minimize confusion from people who thought that would determine what they got in a pack.

Heretic, please ensure it remains available in some form. I've found it tremendously useful in assigning doffs to missions. And please thank whoever came up with/developed the filter concept and implemented it.

Heretic - you may also want to disable the Doff assignments that REQUIRE an EMH to start as well - as I've seen plenty of then pop up on Holodeck that I ncan't take as a result of EMH Doffs not being available yet.
Is there a way to bind Doffs to a char other than slotting them into your roster? Theres some Doffs that can't be slotted (biologists, counselors etc) I don't want to accidentally end up selling.

Duty officers that have been gained as a result of unique achievements are by design bound; this includes your starter pack, Frontier duty officers, and commendation store duty officers, among others.
C-Store and cadre packs from the Academy are not bound.

Aye got that, just wondering if there was a way to deliberately bind Doffs that aren't bound as some Doffs can't be slotted and bound that way because knowing me as well as I do, I'll sell a Doff I didn't intend to and be kicking myself for some time over it.

I think (not sure), that if you put a DOff on the Exchange for some ridiculous price and then go and BUY it (not re-claim it) it becomes bound to you...
I think...
Since the DOffs appear on the Exchange Alphabetically as well as by Price, you could price it so it appears on the third or forth page of the DOff exchange at a more conservative price and then go back and buy it...
(with less fear of somebody else getting it)
Can we get a DOff that reduced the cooldown time of the Quantum Slipstream Drive please?
I'm primarily asking for all the players who like to do the "Tour the Universe" event which is the "Tour the Galaxy" mission (Typo?).
I can do 1 laps in 24 minutes which is 2 laps in 48m, if I could reduce the cooldown on slipstream I could do 1 lap in just under 20m I'm sure which is 3 laps in just under 60m.
Why not add some "Host Meal" Doff missions that use different food items. Food items are hardly ever used and it would make sense to host a social function and serve a food item or two.
Common missions would require DOffs namely "Chef" and Common food items while rare missions would require a rare food item.
Like with the Klingon mission to make baked Tribble or Tribble Kabob you could get a special food reward for a Critical Success of this mission.
Moved this thread to its new home  Welcome to the Duty Officer System Feedback forum!
Take it away Heretic...
Cheers,

Considering there's no Fleet Starbase feedback forum, could you consider moving the thread highlighted blue in my signature... to the Duty Officer System Feedback forum for now please Brandon?
The thread heavily focuses on Duty Officer assignments interacting with internal system design of the fleet starbase.
Also note that I'm desperately trying to keep my thread alive, it got to 30 days without a post (on the 8th), then I posted in it earlier and this is simply due to it's location, constructive threads in the General Feedback section do not gain enough traction to keep going due to the lack of viewing forum members. Generally only the threads in that section (general feedback) that pick up the trolls or those who are concerned over something that's upset them... live long and prosper, unless closed.
Thanks in advance, btw notice the idea I posted above here?
Keep up the good work!
P.S. If my thread in blue does not get a post in the next 30 days, it's dead because I had the last post. And I put the most effort into this one.
I know they are on the auction house, but is there a way to search for the job classification? Lost my Chef and really having a hard time finding another.

The STO wiki has a list of duty officers. Look up some chefs then search them by name in the exchange
Does the rarity of an active duty DOff affect the benefit? For example, if I put a purple doff with a chance to beam down an additional security escort on my ground roster, is the chance higher than with a white doff with the same ability? What about ones where chance is not involved (ie reduce transwarp cool down)? Does a purple/blue give you a "better" ability than a white/green?

Yes. Duty officer quality does affect potency of active roster abilities.

I've done Two 'Escort Prisoner' Assignments which were Successful but didn't get any...?...
Do you only get them on Critical Success now??
Aren't they for critical successes on military offensives?
"Transfer Prisoners to Starfleet Command" uses up prisoners, it doesn't give any. Unless you are referring to another assignment?

I didn't have any prisoners, but I got two, Transport Prisoners from the Front, assignments...
They both were successful...
I got them both from the same sector, at the same time,... is that unusual??
I guess it's not the same thing I remember from Tribble.
I thought you had to have prisoners in order to do these kind of assignments.

Thanks for the clarification Heretic! =D
Time to toss those white-quality DOffs out the nearest airlock...
