Thanks for the help, I started using the character and I do have to say the lack of SP is a pain in the ***. My skills are all very low. Ah well, I suppose it'll even out later. Thanks again for the advice
-
Right then, I also found he didnt level almost any of his skills and has 55k sp. I think I can do this.
-
The question is when I would end up needing 73 dex for axes. I dont want to have to wait until 80+ to be able to start doing reasonable damage
-
Well, I just checked, 118 str and 73 dex. ****, looks like I may need to restat
-
I just ran it through wine, took a bit of tweaking with registries and such, but **** it.
-
**** it, I just installed it on my dual-booted ubuntu OS I like how it was easier to install on ubuntu than vista.
-
Downloaded the torrent version, same problem, could post a screen if that would help. Seriously, nothing has helped so far. I've dropped my firewall, done freaking everything in the install support section. Im on 64 bit vista ultimate.
-
It doesn't, it just says "New version available do you want to update?" select the download sever, (tried both) click ok, client closes, nothing happens
-
I can guarantee that it is not blocked, running verify now, but I was able to play not very ago and no changes have been made to the antivirus or OS of my computer.
-
bloodninja is just about the best cyber troll ever. I put on my robe and wizard hat.
-
"I got my wizard hat on and im looking something vicious. All the ladies call me lucky cuz im magically delicious"
-
Thats correct, a full heavy build would be worthless due to the loss of damage but the whole point of the build is taking LA and making it more specialized so instead of being mediocre in two things (Mag def and phys) You switch between awesome at one thing and the other, covering for mages weaknesses.
-
It works because im not using my levels HA, Simply take your build, take points out of dex with a restat, add them to str and boom, you can equip your levels magic wep if you put three points into mag every level so alternate. 3 mag 2 str and 3 mag 1 str 1 dex, when needed. it works, ive tried it.
-
Most wizards just sit there and take hits, they dont kite, leading to threads like "OMG WIZARD SUX GUIZE" Followed my inane rambling. I can take down barbs 10 levels higher than me in duels without getting hit once.
-
"This day men will die. Glory and fame! Blood is my name! Soul full of thunder, heart of steel! Killer of men, a warrior, friend. Sworn to avenge my fallen brothers! Sons of the gods, today you shall die! Open Valhalla door! Let the battle begin! With staff in the wind! Hail god of war!"
-
Im not saying to switch on the fly, this is more 1v1 gank or pvp based. You switch based on who you are fighting. Archer, Bm or barb, heavy. Cleric, veno or mage, robes.
-
HA would do the same damage, base damage speaking, as LA. All LA has is one or two more crit%. This build isnt an alternative to pure, its an alternative to LA.
-
Base hp is irrelevant, at level 60 I have 2.3k. Its all about the shards, also this build would let you wear your levels helmet, giving you a lot more hp.
-
Actually the true power lies in the ability to switch sets of armor, meaning, all those weakness you mentioned (Except for the slight loss of crit) is covered.
-
You forget you can wear robes, the only thing keeping this build together is the idea that you would have two full sets.
-
The crit diff is very small, 3% max. People are always going to think a magic user in heavy will be silly, but actions speak louder than words.
-
How will my damage be lower? La is just enough for the weapon as well. Also my mp will drain just as fast as LA. I just came up for a slogan for this build. "All of the mage, none of the weakness"
-
I know, I know. The difference between 1k and 2k phys def is bigger than the difference between 6k and 7k. But the thing is, Why not get as much as you can? You are only trading a bit of %crit for a lot more def. Plus, refined heavy stuff gives **** TONS of hp.
-
No, im the OP. I just dont like it when people make claims that are obviously false.
-
You do realize that the str and dex requirements for 3* heavy are the same as for plain unstatted? So, if I had three star heavy, the phys def difference would be larger. Who would buy armor from the npc after level 30? You are basing your claim on the idea that I would wear crappy armor, which I would not.
-
Technically yes, its a lower chance but its still better than pure. Also the higher hp and survival rate makes up for that.
-
But it adds up, 6 items with 100 more pdef each equals 1200 more phys def. Also, its cheaper and all you have to do is have some robes and you're set.
-
but magic resist is irrelevant in this build because you have two sets. Its better to do one thing awesome than two things okay.
-
While this is true, the phys def difference would be huge, you would take less phys damage than a barb for crying out loud
-
same as light
