lol yeah..just teiling a forum Mod/GM the specs of your PC isnt automatically the answer. they need your DXdiag to be able to see not only your specs, but to dive in and take a deeper look at your drivers, any error reports your PC may produce, and many other useful pieces information to help you out =p

well...the one word that drew my attention.. yeah..just to be safe, I open my computer case at least once a week armed with a can of compressed air and a few q-tips. heat is a PCs worst enemy lol. also..can you post a DXdiag of your machine? there might be a hardware reason why your PC is crashing too =p thanks!

but on this topic...I have a question. why is it that the performance of the game is so different with water set on High and on medium? even on my high end desktop PC, when I have the water set to Medium I get like a 10 fps increase. I would think maybe it would only be 3-4..but 10? thats a huge jump imo..

if it has a discrete GPU..like a (i think..correct me if I am wrong) the nvidia 9300M or a "nice" Intel GMA 950 (or better), then i THINK you should be ok to play.
