Each attack level OVER the opponent's defense level increases damage inflicted by 1% Each defense level OVER the opponent's attack level decreases damage taken by 1% (If I remember correctly)

Or you could use the postbox and not run the risk of someone stealing the items. 500gp and an hour's delay really isn't that much.

Next time you're in the game try hitting Ctrl + F4 and you'll see why that won't work. ;) EDIT: Nevermind, I just tried it and nothing happened. Didn't know there was a way to disable that? Plus I just realised I meant Alt, not Ctrl but it's still disabled
