i kinda like your analogy, indeed dueling is all abt countering ur opponents moves and trying to get the upperhand. Pk is more brutal tho yet more realstic, as long as your target is dead everything goes...no waiting for chi to be full....cooldowns to be up etc.

You might wanna consider sins, they got good soloing capabilities. However they are expensive to equip and need 80+ imo to shine. Heavily equipment dependable, even decent gear cost quite abit to get.
