  • Hi Guys, Sorry I've been away from the forums and the game for most of a week now and will continue to be away over this weekend too. Merry Xmas and a Happy new year to ya'll too!! b:chuckle Lots of people off on holidays it seems. I know theres a couple of folks in the pipeline. Please do try and post an application in…
  • Tree of Protection = Best if used with a barb type tank toon. Solid shield or Wind shield are like mini invokes (though solid shield on a str heavy genie can be as effective as a invoke). Alpha male is a awesome aoe aggro skill. Lightning chaser or earthquake is also pretty handy to use to cancel bosses casting. Impact,…
  • Surprising no one has mentioned devour? Seriously I start with a devour and then I hardly notice a very small difference in PvE damage between my humanoid and tigerform attacks.....and I'm sage! b:shocked Seriously ppl -50% pdef FTW! b:victory
  • WOW! You mathfolks have brewed up a textbook or two.....I swear some of the stuff on here I haven't even heard of.....b:shocked Anyways, I tried reading and understanding all your methods, honestly I did (and failed miserably b:surrender). So I thought I'd just contribute this little tidbits of wisdom: I see quite a few…
  • Yes it will. The demon barbs do a bit more damage as tigers. Thats because some of the passives add a crit rate (which I believe is active only when the passive is i.e, in trueform like shapeshift) and since the damage reduction is no more, the tiger form skills which actually seem to have higher numbers do full damage.
  • ^^QFT. Bang on the money! We all talk about we tanked this at that and what not, but its really you guys that let us tank them. As to the OP, I have noticed one thing about all characters. They look uglier in the character window (top left) than if you were to just look at them. b:chuckle So I can sympathize with you guys…
  • Additionally, you have two skills (buffs?) which add to your HP. By going a vit build you are playing to your strengths. A full str barb may have more damge but his HP will not be anywhere nearly as good as a tank barb. Also a tank barb does not have no str either. As a axe/hammer character, we need to have a lot of…
  • I maxed it. As stated above, its cheaper and quicker to level than titans and axe mastery. It really helps fill up the gap between humanoid and tigerform damage.
  • Not always true. Both have their advantages if you use them right and dangers if you dont. Slam does a nice 360 aoe but also knocks the mobs back. Great for a pure physical mob, but once you start fighting casting mobs this skill can get you killed. Surf Impact has a added advantage of slowing down the mob (and a 50% speed…
  • I used to have that same problem. A lot less now once I got sage flesh ream, but still.....a DD going full out (usually archer and fist BM, Wizzies seem to be ok with their channeling times) and (demon) triple sparking will just steal aggro. But I can pull it back in a second.
  • ^^QFT Alclarity's cancel is really dependent on your laggyness.....if thats even a word b:chuckle. The situation is greatly helped if you fleshream and then staright away use alclarity. Takes a bit of practice but works wonders.
  • Hey Hell; If you are only a month or two away from 20 then I don't think thats gonna be a problem. What timezone do you generally play in? US/EU/other? Accordingly one of our officers can get in touch with you or you can try to PM them in game. To all you other folks out there: We are looking for more people playing in the…
  • Does it have to be holiday related? What if I made a PWI related stocking? b:sin
  • Back when I was using calamitys I found they zerked on average once every 5 hits. On occasion they'd zerk 4 times in a row too. Awesome damage ofc, but a lot of HP eaten too. Clamitys are great to tank with because of the added HP and the 5% is not something that should bother a cleric. This ofcourse is only valid for…
  • Extreme poison will allow for more damage per hit. Theres no doubt there. just depends on if you are willing to cast it often enough. I prefer Tangling Mire, due to its aoe, slow and longer effect. I can also use it as as a emergency aoe aggro skill (for e.g. when theres not enough energy for my Alpha Male). Add TM to a…
  • Better for what? The stars gloom effect adds a 30% damage increase which lasts for a few hits. The gold berserk adds 100% damage for that particular hit. Berserk does trigger more often than gloom, and you would do more damage with them for sure. For PK -> 90 gold. No doubts there. For PvE solo grinding ->I prefer the star…
  • Penetrate armour, Devour and Ironwood do not stack (i.e. the last overwrites the previous ones). When I'm in TT spamming devour I ask venos not to ironwood since devour debuffs better (-50% and sustainable since cooldown<skill duration). Except if they have demon ironwood ofc b:sin Tangling mire or impact genie skills…
  • Its really worth running FC once you 85+. Under 85 and over 90 the exp benefit isnt as great (unless you do it on a double exp weekend or something). You can get almost the same exp from BH and cube. By the time you are 85 you should have the basic idea of a tanker's skills down. ^^ What he said. Also, in FC roar is pretty…
  • Try melee fighting him....then its a whole new story! b:chuckle
  • Didn't feel like going through all this dribble..... To OP: Reroll a cleric.......have fun! b:irritated b:beatenup b:nosebleed b:spit
  • For solo grinding on mobs and for PvP pick demon. You really cant beat the full tigerform damage (which is great fro grinding). For tanking pick sage. By tanking I mean TT/FB/BH/FC/RB. The added HP and pdef helps on the big bad bosses. Also sage barbs generally don't have chi problems anymore (since a lot of our skills are…
  • FC doesn't compare at all to RB for charm ****. I have always done FC uncharmed. With even a single cleric, and a good party ofc, you should rarely drop under 50% HP. The bosses are relatively easy and don't hit that hard (except the last guy, hes a pain). Its just that each has his own tricks that you need to watch out…
  • Aye, that would do it. have been pumping dex for a while now on the genie (use ToP more for heals than for armageddon). Will focus on str next once I cap dex at 64. Hmm, funny thing though, I swear ToP heals me twice already even though I have only 44 str. Its supposed to heal every 3 seconds and the skill duration is 6…
  • Armageddon used to be a skill most wouldn't use regularly for PvE. But now with genies thats changed. I frequently sunder+perdition+ToP+swell+slam when dealing with a group of mobs. (Still struggling to learn how to manage casting Arma just as ToP's heal kicks inb:embarrass, guess my genie needs more str.) At the end of…
  • Well Reikara, we do accept people that are about to turn 20 soon (though usually thats a month or two away). But there is also a matter of alt characters. We basically require the player's main toon (i.e. the character you will be spending most of your time playing) to be in the guild. Heres a quote from the BPS leader…
  • Grinding for barbs does make money. Just not as fast as other classes, since half of what you make you will spend on repairs. Best money with least effort though comes from farming and TT followed by Auctionhouse or Stall.
  • Yep, though as I said, if youm plan on using sunder just for the healing, dont get the demon version. It reduces heals to less than a lvl8 sunder. Yep, thats the preferred way when one on one. Easier to cast. Macros would help. Remember at 89+ you have 3 sparks. So essentially you carry 399 chi around when full. Assuming…
  • ^^ QFT. Beastial Rage+Alclarity+Devour+Normal attacks. No chance for mob to cast. Not a lot of pot costs to boot. Makes the tigerform and humanoid form damage difference almost disappear when maxed. Awesome skill, too bad it uses a lot of chi. I still use it all the time though.
  • Yep. One of the reasons why I skipped my 79 skills. Been saving coins for sage skills. They more useful than the 79ones (for PvE at least) imho.
  • Calamitys are ok to use since they do add a HP bonus, and the zerk isnt something to fret over if you have two clerics in the party. With one cleric, you might have to pot a bit more than normal but its nothing that bad. The only place I wouldn't use calamitys is while solo grinding. This of course is only for the 70-80…
