  • One person out of however many hundreds of thousands of people who play this game says he has never been out-damaged by a cleric. Is my face red... Edit: And I never said we out-damage other classes.
  • I was mostly referring to people who roll a cleric and then realize how much it sucks to try to heal people who pull the entire instance at once and then get called a "fail" for not keeping up, but still enjoy the damage aspect of clerics. I think people should just stop assuming that all clerics are healers.
  • I haven't played in about 2 years, so you may be right about other classes out-damaging attack built clerics. When I played though, it was entirely possible. That being said, I understand that in everyone's mind cleric = healer and if I showed up in a group with the intent to DD, I would bring a healing built cleric with…
  • Every game I've ever played suffers from a lack of tanks. With rare exceptions, most people do not find tanking much fun. This can be because they don't like the mechanics of it or because people expect too much from them in groups. In another game I play, a lot of former tanks described tanking as "work" whereas damage is…
  • With the right build, clerics can be amazing DDs. Don't expect every single one you meet to be a healer. Especially since healing is like unpaid babysitting. Don't be surprised when people, even clerics, don't want to do it.
  • OP: Having coin sinks in a game with a cash shop is like trying to bail out the Titanic. The more frustrated people get with coin sinks, the more they (and everyone they interact with financially--think ripple in pond) are discouraged from playing without using the cash shop. The more money people spend in the cash shop,…
  • The problem with the forums (and this is true for most games) is that the people who could use the advice offered in the forums (the worst players) never read the forums. Any post you make is either preaching to the choir or feeding trolls.
  • OP your complaint (if I have it correctly) is common throughout many MMOs: casual players find the game too "difficult" so the developers make changes to cater to them, dumbing down the game, making it too easy to level, creating hordes of clueless endgamers. What people (in any game) don't realize is, with the increasing…
  • Since world chat is now nothing but a boring snoozefest of WTS, LFG and guild recruitment, your return today was most welcome. Maybe people will start chatting again. I don't pay for this game to not have obnoxious chat to read...
  • That totally weirded me out the first time I saw it. I was like, "Did that computer generated monster just TALK to me??" I wish it would happen more often as well ... just for the lulz. On topic: Mobs are for people who can't afford to buy all of their xp.
  • I agreed with everything he said. The type of people he's describing (attention seekers, basically) cause a greater disturbance then any other type of griefer because they manage to stay within the rules and avoid a (deserved) ban. Any behavior like profanity, threats, abuse, racism ... this can all be cured by simply…
  • OMFG This made me laugh so hard I pulled a muscle. I mentioned Naruto because even my 16 year old daughter has been nerd raging over Naruto fangirls for nearly 2 years now. She considers them "more annoying then Twilight fans." My daughter is a calm, rational girl, so anything that pisses her off that much has got to be…
  • 1. Create an alt character 2. Get a genie 3. Repeat steps 1-2 until you get the desired genie 4. Switch genie to "TRADE READY" 5. Wait 7 days 6. Send genie to main character 7. ??? 8. Profit
  • There would also be a million people walking around in black or white outfits. The reason these are unique now is because they aren't easy/cheap to get. Allow people to choose what color they want and all you're going to see is black and white clothing ... everywhere. That being said, the random dye system is obviously set…
  • Guild Wars has this and it's actually kind of awesome. Most towns and cities have "Henchmen" that you can add to your party, mages, archers, even healers. They just follow you around making silly comments and doing what they're supposed to do (healing, fighting etc.) They also take a cut of all your coin drops, so they're…
  • The only reason PWI doesn't allow server transfers is because you spend more money rolling a new toon on another server then you do paying for a one time server transfer. If you want a new character on a different server bad enough, you'll pay the costs of leveling it. I'll eat my hat if someone at PWE hasn't already…
  • Just came back to the game (and forums) after being gone for about six months, so I didn't know.
  • Making this game P2P would make the community even worse then it already is. Charging a subscription would chase out most of the teenagers who don't have access to credit cards and leave behind cranky 45 year old housewives and their bored "hubbies." Generally speaking, teenagers are much more mature on the internet…
  • WoW also has RP specific realms and from what I hear about them (never bothered to roll a toon on one) they take RPing quite seriously. It could probably help PWI expand its RP community by opening a RP dedicated server, but its anyone's guess as to how well that would work. The fact that PWI charges to use its World Chat…
  • I wouldn't "expect" anyone to have a charm for anything, ever. Yeah, they are nice for "harder" bosses, but I sure as hell wouldn't claim to be a "pro" cleric and then drop group because the tank doesn't have a cheat button for me. I thank everyone who has money to waste on this game, but I'd never expect anyone to do so…
  • I haven't posted on these forums for a long time, but I couldn't resist this topic. "When is cutesy behavior childish?" Anytime it is a deliberate attempt to provoke people and causes a disruption in a faction ... or on a server. Anyone who was on Sanctuary server about a year or so ago will probably remember a person who…
  • I think those dresses are pretty in any color. They look like "old timey" dresses. Even those horrible pukey green, the blue/green off black, bright yellow, slate blue ... the worst colors you can think of would still look good on that dress. I just bought one from the boutique and got doubly lucky with hot pink and boots…
  • This has always creeped me out. It doesn't even have any arms, just stumps that its wings seem to grow out of ...
  • Yeah, where is the "try it out of curiosity" option? This poll = fail Not that it really matters, I'm starting to see why people constantly talk about quitting. It doesn't take long for this game to get old ...
  • I've heard so much about this game on these forums, I've actually started downloading it. Probably why mentioning other games is against the rules here.
  • Just get between him and the mountain so when he starts running, he will run toward the water. On my LA Wiz, he managed to drag me halfway to Camellia Gardner while I whacked him with my stick. Apparently 12 is a "Critical Hit" when you only have 30 strength.
  • How many times have you done it? I've been proven right in just the few times I've been in noob squads that have insisted on BB and I've given in just to avoid argument ... and then had to make sure the venos would give me spark to start it back up again. So if you've only done it a few times, perhaps you've gotten lucky.
