Level Devil first, he'll likely be your most used pet. punishing sting is just a little extra damage over a duration, you may like what it has to offer, but you may find that creeper or spidervine are of more use to have out.
-
plants are summoned pets, so their attack power is variable with your equipment...so whenever you have him out and whatever damage his attack is doing to the monster, 4x that.
-
cragglord is FAR from a useless summon, the people who say it is useless do not know how to use it...it can be one of the MOST useful summons you have. it is true he only lasts for 20 seconds, but for those 20 seconds, he is the hardest hitting skill you can use. he isn't a tank, and he isn't a use for every moment…
-
well, definitely complete all quests for all summons, you don't want to put yourself out of any viable skills....even if you don't plan on using it for months or years, get the skills and learn level 1 at least. how you choose to use plants will depend on the situation as most plants are AOE (punishing sting is single…

eh, I just re-read the cragglord thread, and its gone even further downhill, the suggestions range from the asinine to the downright insane, and mostly suggested by people who can't even use it yet. and I am not seeing a "pros and cons" thread here, I'm seeing a whine thread...if what you're doing isn't working for…
-
kinda, depends on how fast you're casting vs. how fast the mob is hitting....its a great heal for pulls though.
-
crit doesn't have diminishing returns, its a hard % diminishing returns is when you see a lesser effect for the same effort. like increasing PDef, you'll still improve your defense, but every increasing point of PDef is worth less and less. (these are not actual numbers, just illustrative) like PDef at 100 = 100 actual…

happens all the time for me....actually, happened yesterday on my seeker, was killing treants and skirmishers and a mystic just randomly invites me...I give him the benefit of the doubt, and i join but he just sits there, yelling what mobs he needs, not bothing to heal, or even send his pet out. this happens alot in lower…
-
heal people here and there, if they need it. but thats about all....rez buff is too expensive to just randomly cast on passers-by, occasionally I'll do it when I'm not actively doing anything. and then there are some people that absolutely hate being buffed randomly (a lady friend of mine will go so far as to relog if…

I wouldn't force myself to make a decision on your characters just yet. I wouldn't delete any either. a mystic is certainly more flexible than a veno or cleric, just because of their skill variety...they are a true hybrid class...but you won't find them ousting clerics or venos from their spots either. I see mystics…
-
holding 2 sets of gear could be asking a bit much for most people...and ideally you'd want to wear the best stuff all the time...but if you could boost your Pet's attack power by a few hundred points by carrying around a pataka, would you do it?
-
we'll have to test that, occasionally when part of a skill effect is blocked, the whole skill is blocked. and for everyone who complains about the skills being worthless...just go ahead and forward those apoc pages to the people who actually like them. accepting donations at all times :D
-
buffs don't affect pets, its only equipment value that transfers to pets...though I do wish buffs did work on pets....sparking would provide a pet with insane attack power...
-
really? I love the 79 skills...I just wish I could get them already...lol 2k mana isn't going to break anything, and really, its only half a rez...but 2k mana is enough to get you back on your feet if you run out of mana in a tight spot or you could try to think of it as a free high-level mana pot every 5 mins. very worth…

it just sounds like plants follow roughly the same rules as the other summons, lvl 10 = 50% gear stat which makes it close enough to the numbers that were posted, I don't think Frenzy would work though, as it is a buff, it wouldn't reflect on a pet.
-
with those numbers at that level...you'd be soloing FCC at 60 (if you could open the door)...and people still don't think its OP.
-
this could be tested with a couple of magic weapons, one being a lower level pataka (since they have a wide power range) the other being a higher level glaive (with the slight power range) just make sure their max attack is relatively close in strength and summon pets with each...if the pet's attack is the same or pretty…

well, the mystic class's position isn't so defined yet, it will take more months of playing to determine what other characters expect of a mystic's role in a group dynamic. to me, the mystic is a combination of every role. they have strong heals, have pets, can DD, and debuff. I think that a cleric will always be desired…
-
if the hits are simultaneous, I could believe they could by-pass a charm...I've heard of 5aps classes bypassing charms before, so I don't see how this couldn't, but it'd have to be a clean one-shot.
-
gains 5% stat increase from gear per skill level....so at level 10, a mystic pet would get 50% bonus from the mystic's gear...so, level your pet and strive for the best gear possible at your level.
-
-hides the ninja suit- in any case, Cragglord is by far my favorite 2-spark, and I'd love if he were permanent, but I can't sit here with a straight face and tell you that he wouldn't be insanely overpowered...my opinions on improvements for him are small, but it isn't game-breaking for me. I'd actually like to see changes…
-
channeling skill = no healing, no transfer of mana to pet, no anything. he wouldn't live that long, and you couldn't feed him mana to use skills.
-
heads only stay out for 3 secs then despawn if they aren't killed. but AOEs certainly help in heads room, no matter how consistent you are, the more that you get to, the better.
-
this is really one of those situations where you have to examine your playstyle. which summons do you use most? personally, Devil is my most used pet, so he was #1 to get to 10, no question about that, he's good enough to tank for me, and good enough to survive a few moments without attention. Mistress I haven't used much,…
-
wouldn't call it an insult by any means....he is a superpower and unbelivably strong for level. you don't have another skill on your character than can do his kind of damage in that 20 second time-frame (for me, it's usually in the neighborhood of 30-50k damage when he's done, depending on the situation he's used in.) I'll…
-
little secret: he doesn't have that gear, that is a dream profile, and an impossible one. he's using wizzy rank 9 on a mystic.
-
I know, I was making a point that the fact they mix skills up does nothing to attract other players of certain classes to other cultis when certain skills (like demon spark) completely eclipse other benefits. I know that if I play my mystic to 90+ I will be going sage, the benefits I think most definitely outweigh the…
-
several classes have skills switched like that, I would think as a concession to the opposing culti path, which could swing the idea of one culti being better than the other...this fails most of the time, as there are clearly classes where pursuing a specific culti is desired over its opposite. (for instance, you rarely…
-
I don't really think much of it being a "big deal" just kinda seems like a waste of mana to heal him because he only lasts 20 seconds...I wouldn't use him to tank anything larger than something I couldn't kill within seconds myself, but he isn't immune to AOEs and he can be killed. I don't think it a matter of particular…
-
a permanent cragglord would most certainly be completely OP...if any improvement was to be made, 30 seconds instead of 20, and summon with full life...which would just make him better as a DPS option on bosses. as he stands at my level, he can kill 2-3 normal monsters before his time is up, and he costs no mana to use. 1)…
