Some info on the stat calcs for summons

Recently upgraded my chihyu from level 3 to level 7. I recorded the stats along the way and noticed a some trends.
Build
Numbers
(G = with gear, N = no gear. Stats are listed in order they appear in the pet info window.)
Here's what I noticed:
The biggest contribution from leveling summons comes from the mystic's gear. Chihyu gained a pitiful amount of attack per skill level, but the amount it got from my gear increased per level.
The exception to all of that was hp and mp. Chihyu got some decent boosts there without gear. The boosts from gear still increased per skill level.
Accuracy and Evasion never changed at all. It's defenses didn't benefit directly from skill level (only the amount from gear changed).

So, what it looks like to me, then, is that the higher level a summon is, the higher % is taken from your mystic's stats to make the summon's stats.
Too lazy to do any actual math right now, but could someone test the numbers and see if there are definite percentages for each skill level?[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Haven't done enough math to confirm it or not, but there are indications that the % exist.
Here are the % for physical resistance ([N->G change]/[sum of mystic gear and ignoring stat benefits]). I'm not sure about the remainders. It could be a result of rounding. Maybe the actual % is what's listed rounded up?
Lv3 - 14.99%
Lv4 - 19.89%
Lv5 - 24.80%
Lv6 - 29.97%
Lv7 - 34.88%

No.
Well anyways, since we know that its a % of stats for chiyu, its probably the same for all pets I'd assume. Does our dexterity affect the pet's evasion and accuracy?0 -
gains 5% stat increase from gear per skill level....so at level 10, a mystic pet would get 50% bonus from the mystic's gear...so, level your pet and strive for the best gear possible at your level.0

Why aren't GMs comfirming this and what are they waiting to do so?. I wanna see official information.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Dunno if this is specifically mentioned anywhere else, but eventually I intend to invest in some really awesome might rings for my mystic.
As, if you didn't know, the stats of the summon are dependant on the gear worn WHEN SUMMONED. They don't adjust themselves magically if you swap gear afterwards, at least not when you check them.
This means that if you think the devil chihyu needs more attack and pdef, you can totally accomodate this in a semi tedious fashion lol[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Just to remind everyone. The summon's physical and magic attack is based on the summoner's magic attack not physical attack.0 -
Well it will help with the pdef slightly. It was a neat idea tho QQ[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

It does allow for some more flexibility though, yes. One might switch to a mana pool/recovery gear set after summoning or switch between higher pdef vs mdef gear, for example.0

Did the math for more stats. All of the elemental resistances match up with the physical resistance numbers I posted. There is some variance, but it's around 0.2% so I'd say it's within the margin of error. o.o
Attack is weird. I'm not sure if it's based on min attack, max attack, or something in between. I'm not sure I can say for sure without a different set of data. Odds are, it involves max attack, that's all I'm willing to say for now.
I didn't test HP/MP. Got +vit/mag and +hp/mp going on the same set of items. I'll need time to pull them apart.Daltia - Sanctuary wrote: »so, level your pet and strive for the best gear possible at your level.
Eh. Not so sure about this part. As is, it really comes down to if the mystic is comfortable with the mp cost of folding strike. The damage from 300% would beat +5% accumulating.Noskrad - Heavens Tear wrote: »Why aren't GMs comfirming this and what are they waiting to do so?. I wanna see official information.
I'm not sure the gms have confirmed much of anything regarding game mechanics. Why would they start now? o.OAlysonRose - Heavens Tear wrote: »As, if you didn't know, the stats of the summon are dependant on the gear worn WHEN SUMMONED. Despite it being based on magic attack, the base idea still works. If you know the summon is going to get hit with magic, summon with +mdef ornaments. Vice versa for pdef. o.o
(Also, you could have say a -channel weapon for combat and a +magic attack weapon for summoning. Just a question of what you can afford or want to setup. o.o)0 -

this could be tested with a couple of magic weapons, one being a lower level pataka (since they have a wide power range) the other being a higher level glaive (with the slight power range) just make sure their max attack is relatively close in strength and summon pets with each...if the pet's attack is the same or pretty close, it would be the max magic attack, if the pet's attack is lower with the pataka, it could be an average or low end of the weapons power range, depending on how much the numbers varied.0 -

Or better yet, figure out the dependence on both the minimum and maximum magic attack together. =D
Assume a simple model. I chose the summon's physical attack is related to the summoner's gear by a linear combination of the minimum magic attack from gear and maximum magic attack from gear. So:V_gear = a m_gear + b M_gear
Where:
V_gear is the summon's physical attack from summoner's gear
m_gear is the summoner's minimum magic attack from gear
M_gear is the summoner's maximum magic attack from gear
The summon's physical attack from the summoner's gear is the difference in the summon's physical attack while wearing the weapon minus not wearing any weapon. Get two weapons so that now you have a pair of values for all three: m_gear, M_gear, and V_gear. I used the ☆Spiritcooler Wand and ☆Raja Spirit's Pestle. This gives two equations for two unknowns -- a and b. Then just solve.
This process can be repeated for the summon's magic attack as well as for each summon and summon's skill level.
Data in greater detail for my mystic can be found in the Attack tab here:
https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AjWJBqePFkradFVaQUNLNzF6SzF5dFNvYXhCZTZGOGc&hl=en#grid=4
In Summary:Summon Skill Level Physical (a,b) Magical (a,b) ---------------------------------------------------------- Devil Chihyu 9 0 , 0.45 0 , 0.45 Storm Mistress 6 0 , 0.30 0 , 0.30 Salvation 4 0 , 0.20 0 , 0.20
So, each skill level contributes 5% of the summoner's gear's maximum magic attack. Or:V_gear = 5 s M / 100
Where:
s is the summon's skill level
M is the summoner's gear's maximum magic attack0 -

I continued and did more testing. I compared stats at all the skills levels I could (for the first three summons). My mystic is only level 49. I also compared stats wearing the same gear but before and after leveling. All the data can be found in the spreadsheet below. I was not able to test the effect of stat points, however. =(

I'm a little confused with the numbers (never liked maths) but I understand the logic behind it. The gear switching thing actually sounds neat but it also sounds to be a little expensive. I don't know if the difference in the summons' stats are worth having different sets of gear though. Would be nice if someone can confirm that.[SIGPIC]http://i.imgur.com/MtwcqjL.png[/SIGPIC]

holding 2 sets of gear could be asking a bit much for most people...and ideally you'd want to wear the best stuff all the time...but if you could boost your Pet's attack power by a few hundred points by carrying around a pataka, would you do it?0
