This is a game. Just. a. game. Yes we all want to win, but having fun should be the priority. If you are not having fun, if all you do is rage the entire time you play, why even play? Why waste your time? Why waste other people's time?

cuz playing a game is what you do when you got time to waste.

Botting is not playing the game.

Yes I agree it is a game.

A game for people to play, not a computer program to play for you.
Cuz then its not a game, it becomes "business" for the susposed game player.

    OMG !!!
i never thought that this game will become like this.. with bots and stuff.. i was hopping that GMs r taking actions since they r so well payed by these noobs that work IRL to cash for a crappy weapon instead enjoy farming for it..

somehow i am pretty sure that this BOT issue is going to be resolved someday(sooner or later). From my personal experience in MMOs where action was taken = simple database scan , wich showed the code of items and who auto looted it , Bans occured to every single person that ever booted in that game, no matter active / inactive - 1 day or 3 years old bot.

Hope to see that here also.

i like this game and i njoy playin it , but without these BOTs.

    Yea, that's about right.
Currently on arch server there are 4 bots to 1 player that grind mobs. (high lv).
They are getting in the way of normal gameplay.

Please don't ask me to submit a ticket etc, that method is obviously useless. It seems for that every bot i report, another soon joins it nearby or in the same place.
If your really "GM's" then you know where & when they are. What's better is that after paying attention if i know what bot belongs to who, then i guarantee the GM's do as well.

What's really pleasing is when you meet one in TW or NW after you have reported it several times...over time. It dosen't matter if they are skilled players or not, they are still meatbags that you need to waste time on.

I could easily waste 1 day per server hunting them down, taking video or screenie, & submitting a ticket. All the while they continue to grieve other players by selling extremely low cost materials, getting free DQ points, interrupting normal gameplay & possibly making real life money as well.

Oh, yea, could someone please ask how i know they are bots, i really enjoy that question.

I would like to know how you make real life money off this game by botting. *listens carefully*
Physically Disabled Gamer ~ I play with nerve damage and loss of motor skills in my whole body which makes it a bit harder to play the game. Yet I have fun and love to make friends.

P.S. If a video game makes you rage it might be time to uninstall it. ~ IJS. b:bye

dw has his own bot too, and we had his main wcing selling millons of dq points, herbs and such, we even had this person showing in his/her signature that he/she could acumolate over 5millon dq points. and this person is 105 r9rr full jods +12. gms will do something?no. they instead choose to delete my posts where i told this person i dislike him/her.
pfffffffffffff gms wont do nothing and this ppl that use bots still lough in our faces.
i find insulting by this persons and who ever give them a place in their faction. in this game u dont have friends if u dont know them in real, so if u know some1 that use bots and u do nothing or u just lough about this, then u are part of it and u should be banned too.

    y u make me log in? b:cry

lvl up toon, skill it & equip it with bot loot..sell account via a 3rd party for RL$ That's usually how it's done anyways. link-> Gold Farmer Even if said user(s) aren't gold farming they are still simply ruining everything they come in contact with in-game.
Some ppl are even so desperate to gear their mains that they make alt accounts to sell for game items/coins/gold. Some even go so far as to get a small faction going to increase the potential value.

Yea ppl who use bots may be nice ppl in real life, however in-game they are the ultimate evil.

I wonder if this thread helped any, or is PWI finally banning bots?

Have not seen the "regular" bots in a little over 2 weeks.

OR maybe just the owner of all the bots is on vacation?

I hope its PWI acting for once.

    Prolly in vacation.

Yes i have noticed too, which is scary from one point of view & somewhat calming from another. Scary in that it suggests organization on some level, but calming that all this could be resolved quickly by banning a few specific key users.

Both PoV's would suggest, in part, my initial suspicions that one person with a medium amount of PC's is doing it OR a small group of ppl who are in cahoots.
I only have 2 examples to support this, the 1st is that i for a fact know of 3 separate users on archosaur server alone who run multiple PC's + dual client on them for botting.
The 2nd example could never be proven, aside from admittance from said users, is that on each server the favorite haunts of these botters is all the same,
    ie:
    back side of hell,
another spot nearby with Garnet Terror mobs,
along the far north east path in hell (forget name atm),
near the entrance to abba in heaven,
a few fissures in heaven packed with mobs,
& a couple other places in heaven,
in both heaven & hell there's only 1 or 2 air born mobs he/she/they prefer,
most have the same farming route(s),
& not to mention the ones in the normal world map..Goothes, anywhere there's Basilisks,
occasionally in air near Immolation Camp,
pretty much anywhere else its harder to notice because they lvl out of the area more quickly.

P.S. Just yesterday i seen a WC congratulating a few banned players back..at least one of them is a regular bot at Basilisks.
IJS maybe the vacation is over >.>

Someone doesn't understand that fun can actually involve multiple emotions. Sure we all know the happy light hearted fun one sees on sitcoms and comedy skits. But fun can come from other emotions as well.

Tell me when you were a kid didn't you have fun being scared during Halloween? Or how about having fun riding a rollercoaster you've never been on? That thrill or suspense must of been quite fun.

Now how is that fun different from the emotions people get when trying their hardest to defeat their opponent and experiencing anger, frustration or yes, even rage? Fun takes on multiple forms and multiple emotions.

The important part is to be able to identify what isn't fun. Short of taking pleasure in other people's pain most of the trolling activities or stuck up personalities of players is what makes this game not fun. Guy rage quits or disconnects.
