start a new character, no stash, no feeding it from a previous toon, no nothing and see how far you get. you'll soon find out. that is the point of this thread.

My question is, does selling them in AH still count towards your DQ points total on your account.
No, it's only when you NPC them that the points are credited on the DQ system page.
By the way, that was the purpose of the DQ points... The exist because all DQs had been nerfed from their original price once already (the lv 20 and 31 got nerfed twice, ending to 1 coin the second time...
The current nerfing is the third of them)
If you sell them via AH, you do transfer the item, so the one receiving it can sell to the NPC (and thus he/she will get the points, not you). It would be too simple and injust otherwise, right? b:laughMaintenance time. Please choose a line:

Probably because nothing is going on.
Comon, it does not takes 5 weeks to get an answer to such a simple query from China PW.
I have the feeling they already answered and said "No, we will not revert them to their original selling price".
PWI is probably only waiting a few more months to tell us so, to give it some time to be forgotten by most players. Then they will probably add a few more useless items in the DQ exchange page.Frankieraye said : "we can promise that we will work to improve all facets of community, engineering, and customer service to ensure that something like this doesn't happen again."

You know, this is exactly what I fear... In fact, we are too used to that kind of practice from the devs by now. We have gotten too much of this kind of response (or lack thereof).
I recently swore to myself to not end thinking like that, as I hope that someday there will be a change (espcially that we got a new CM that is willing to do his best) and that we, of the PWI version, will, in the miraculous route*, finally be acknowledged as a real part of PW and respected for it.
But maybe yes, things are possibly ending the same way each time... Hence my passionate rants, which I guess are useless anyway.

Because of the useless Dq Items, crashing a big part of income + NW crashing a lot pve content even more, replacing it with a pvp event i have quitted pwi. If there will be any changes in exchange rates and DQ items i maybe will come back.
I know a lot ppl already did the same so PW did a pretty good job getting rid of a lot of players.0 -

I find no entertainment in running around plucking weeds, picking up dirt and selling it to others.
So many people are missing the point - something that has been a fundamental part of the appeal of this game has been removed. It's as simple as that. Telling me that I can get it back by spending countless hours farming, selling or any other activity I have no interest in will not replace it. That's like telling someone they can't go bowling anymore, but feel free to play soccer instead - when they hate soccer and just want to go bowling again.
So, like I said, when the coins run out, I am going to a different alley. It's that simple. And I'm taking my 10-15$ a month budget with me.
Of course...that's not the kind of money PWI worries about, now is it?0 -

If you really want more coins, invest 3 mirage celestones in a genie and drop all your xp at lvl 30 in it. Rinse and repeat.
Got about 12 mil from mats on a low toon during 2x on Sanctuary server, 2 days, a few hours a day (but oh well, they have overpriced low mat market).
I just started a new char a few days ago, and so have been playing in that
area range. Let me use the method you outlined above.
I was collecting rough furs, glues, etc., not to sell, but to use to increase
my crafting levels.
In 1 hour of grinding (and I know because I used one of those silkworm things),
I accumulated 8 glues & 12 furs. Let's use the best figure in your example
above: $10K per each. So, I would need 100 of them to make $1 million. Let's
assume I get an average of 20 sellable items per hour. That's 5 hours of
grinding to get that. Let's say I just had terrible luck, and up the amount
to 50 items/hr. That's still 2 hours of constant grinding to get $1 mill.
Now--I'm still not there yet--to get that $1 mill, I have to set up a catshop
and leave it there for several hours. If I'm lucky, I'll sell all 100 items
at $10K each.
Yay, I've got $1 mill coin. Gotta log off. Will do the same thing tomorrow.
Fun game.

One time I used to make a million coins by 20-ish by playing the game. No farming herbs or mats. Just quested and npc'd the mob drops and sold whatever crafting mats I found to one of those semi-rip-off catshops in the grinding area. Didn't need to do anything but concentrate on questing, learning the basics and having fun.
Kinda feel sorry for you guys. Would hate to just join a game and immediately be forced into merchanting and farming. Farming is much better ignored until higher levels, where you can casually make 1m in 30 minutes.0 -
Yeah, note how it's only the younger players being punished for the supposed botting issue. I've never seen a 80+ DQ item, but from what I understand they are still worth buttloads.
I'm sure there were a lot of level 50 bots out there farming DQ items.0 -

Welcome back! But don't waste your breath - everyone has done exactly what PWI has counted on.
They gave up.
They quit posting, complaining and demanding change. They all bent over and are now spending more money at the cash shop. They just get lazy and accept whatever it is the game developers ream them with, like good little customers should.
It wasn't a fix to stop botters, as they claimed. (DQ 81+ unaffected) It was an outright fee hike - a price implementation. It was a demand that you go use the boutique or be penalized by not being allowed to enjoy the first 80 levels of the game.
That, friend, is how it works. Sad.0 -

I come back home, go on the net, see what is up with PWI these days, heard some things change, really bad changes. Yet they are true. Thanks to seeing this pile of baloney from the patches and seeing what you have posted is what a fake, moronic response coming from you. Reduces like how much inflow of coins into the game? Like 2% of it? Get real, almost nobody even grinds for 2 minutes because they hate to grind. Most people do merchant / cash shop which most of the inflation comes from selling gold. Yes, low and mid levels can make good money (if they are lucky finding mats that are valuable pretty often).
Bots? Oh please, PWE allowed botting in JD, as far as I remember. So the devs "trying to solve the bot problem" is very untrue. Knowing that the company is really dishonest to their customers, they actually fooled many people. If it was a good change for "all" players, please explain that, especially for new players (not alts), I know this game lacks new people because they see PWE as a scam.WTB PWI 2008 where people were thinking more about doing good rather than pretending to be.0 -

Cody tylor - the Majority of people like you said- do make money from Merchants or Cash shop; but that is coin is a transfer from players to player (coins that are already in the system).
selling items to npc and coin drops from mobs is the only inflow of '' new coins '' into the game. that is the Sole reason and drive behind increased prices over time.
if you cant see that, you are blind.
For along time now;
Inflow > Outflow
(Coins dropped / Npc'd items)
vs
(Repair bills / NPC manufacturing cost / NPC bought items )
This update - reduces the imbalance between the two. - that is why it is better for everyone.0 -
I have no idea if this is the right section for what I'm about to write, if not I apologize.
All I want to ask is why the dragon points items cost only 1 coin. Before Sirens of War, that items were our main source of coins, excluding quests. Now We cannot do anything without loose almost all our coins, and this is not right! This game cannot be played only by people who can spend true money on it, there's young people who just want to have some fun and people who don't have a job, and every single euro/dollar is important. This is frustrating.
So please, please, someone tell the developers to fix this problem. Free gamers have the same rights of payer ones. Let us enjoy PW like anyone else.
Thank you.0 -

I looked for information on this last night and got diddly squat until this morning when browsing the first page of this forum. Anyways what I did find last night was that back in 2010 there was this huge scare that they were lowering the price of ALL DQ Items by a whopping 20%.
Their reasoning for this was because of the botters, spammers and other related things that were going on in Perfect World: China. Unfortunately because Perfect World: China has dominion over the development of what goes into our game, they dictate the value of all DQ Items as well. So when they nerf DQ Items over their, they Nerf them over here as well. This happens despite the fact that there is little to no spamming, botting, or otherwise in our version of Perfect World.
Now back in 2010, there was such a huge uproar about the changes they had proposed that they had to provide a compromise with the player base in Perfect World International. Perhaps, if such a huge outcry were to happen again, then they might consider another compromise?
Ultimately what this game needs is the same style of Patch Release Notes that is utilized by Star Trek Online (please don't ban me, that is another Perfect World Entertainment Game).Cathulion - Dreamweaver wrote: »DQ are losing their value. Hell even the delta chests are losing their value! Like 150k on my server...for whats a simple 500 DQpoints/1k on x2. DQ isn't a good market anymore. Try another form of merchanting then...or farm herbs/dig mats...
Agreed, DQ Items were a risky type of item to farm anyways. Because people either wanted to buy them for the Dragon Quest-line itself, or they wanted to farm them to sell to Merchants in order to get the Dragon Point Store items. Rarely if ever was there a stable economizing factor in it other than what the items sold to a merchant for. Now even that is falling to pieces so it is largely the supply and demand that will determine the value of them.
Trying something more stable such as Mirage Celestones, Perfect Stones (both of which are moderately easy to get via TT & BH's), or actual Crafting Materials of a variety of types would actually be a more viable way of making money via merchanting in the current economy. Heck, even buying and selling Source of Force/Phoenix Feathers could potentially be more stable than Dragon Quest items now.Angel_Spawn - Sanctuary wrote: »They are trying to get rid of f2p players more and more with each patch they make
If this were in fact true, wouldn't the most efficient way of accomplishing this be to eliminate the cash shop altogether and instead institute a monthly subscription? If they did that, none of the players could be said to be Free to Play players, now could they, since in order to play at all you would have to pay a subscription fee.Thank you. I've only been playing a week and was just starting to enjoy this game cause I discovered dq drops.. now theres no hope of me ever getting anywhere with my character as I work 2 jobs and dont get to play often.
I apologize i'm just a little livid about this as I was just starting to enjoy the game thinking I finally found an after work game to relax to.. It's just a huge slap in the face....
/wonders what all these new players will do when they discover that you need over 4 billion experience points to reach max level, not to mention the equivalent of over 1,500 US Dollars or 2.7 billion coins just to get the best armor in the game?Lucrecia - Momaganon wrote: »They could at least make the expansion title fitting from "sirens of war" to

Unfortunately if PWE completely removes all of the methods by which to farm for coins in game without having to sell Zen (Gold), then they are in fact neutering the cash shoppers ability to sell Gold just as much as they are neutering the Free to Play players ability to buy Gold. You can't have one without the other. So by eliminating one you are eliminating the other as well. Once the exchange of currencies ceases to function as an actual proper exchange, then the economy as a whole will fail. Ultimately resulting in the death of Perfect World International as a whole. That I am afraid is what the developers of Perfect World: China failed to comprehend with all of their anti-botting countermeasures. Unfortunately for them, in a way, all of those bots are actually good for their game's economy, and therefore they are good for the Developers Salary. Afterall, even in China, someone ultimately has to buy the Gold that is funding that economy from somewhere... So really this move just hurts the developers themselves as much as it stops botting.Deceptistar - Sanctuary wrote: »but thats how communism works @_@;
Communism and by extension Socialism, yes, you are correct. They do not believe in Capitalism in China (AT ALL). Therefore their government and by proxy their businesses which are actually run by their government, in fact probably do not realize that in order for a game that is marketed in a country where a free capitalistic economy reigns supreme to actually survive, they actually need to have a means of valuating that games in game currency on some level other than just what the company dictates. Unfortunately, I cannot see how what they are doing to their own countries version of the game is actually going to help matters for them at any rate because it is going to make it difficult for those people who actually legitimately farm currency in game to actually obtain that currency. But then the Communist point of view is that people should be happy with what the government gives them, and not with what they themselves think that they have somehow earned. At least that was my take on Communism.
Of course in a communist country everything I just said would have been censored all to hell and I wouldn't have been able to voice that statement at all in the first place. So I am glad I live in America b:surrenderAcc 1: TolanSky ~ ● Seeker / Daearena ~ Mystic / ThornLily ~ Veno

I don't see the reason behind the nerfing of the DQ items above lvl 45-50.
I've played many games that actually do have bots and coin farmers, but rarely do you see one killing mobs above lvl 50.
It's too hard to kill a mob above lvl 50 and takes too long, because most bots will kill lvl's below them for fast kills and little potions. Also they don't get hit as hard so less repair bills.
We need the DQ items for lvl 50 and above back to the original price.
PWI if you keep doing this to us you are going to lose a lot of players and your players talk to others. Do you think they are going to give good ratings for a game that keeps **** with their players?
Before long you won't have anyone who will stick with the game at all.
And if that's not bad enough what's up with giving us only 2 new quests at lvl 83+
You tell us we can make up for the 1 coin DQ items by doing quests, but I ask you, how do we do that when you don't give us enough quests at certain lvl's?
Sad to say that the silk worm xp scrolls don't always work either. That's another bug that needs to be fixed ASAP.0 -

1.Why people dont think to do nw at 60s for cash. Thats right, even level 60s can make like 20 or so tokens, with the buff from npc they are brought to the lower geared level 100s level. And dont use the argument that you get 1shot and cant kill anyone. Hell, even full nv s2 or partial s3 is a 1shot without some insane refines.
2.Why people dont farm manufacturing mats instead, they drop almost as often as DQ, and can be worth up to 50k each, thats what? 20x more than each DQ worth on average?
3.Why people dont learn to merchant, with a little money(of course more is faster), you can turn it into millions of coins, all without barely doing anything.
4.Why people dont farm TT with a squad. Even a level 80ish squad should be able to farm TT1-2 right? You dont need to solo like the level 100s, the TTs will drop quite decently during 2x. My solo 1-2 runs bring in on average 3mil worth of mats per run, thats 500k each per run for a squad of 6(not including fairy boxes), 1-2 wont take very long with a balanced squad, you'll be making more than you need for your under 100 gear.

you speak as if a character starts at level 60, fully skilled and fully geared. fact is if a new player comes in, it is out of $ at level 50 to skill or gear without using a credit card. also, a new player is NOT joining this game to farm 4 hours a day, so how long you think they will stay? all of you who say so what if nerfed are morons. when this games closes up for lack of new players maybe then you might understand.0 -

as long as one does NOT use lucidsilver envoys and the free fruits you get early lvls , there is enough cash in the quests and from picking up some craft mats here and there, to be totally independant from cash shopping in the first 60 lvls.
you even get free charms pre 60 (how cool is that?, no need to regear every 10 lvls, just let the charm do the work.... no need for pots.. and so on)
thus said , it is possible to play this game completely normally, w/o the need for good dq drops..... but nowadays ethos is more like, : i want it all... NOW ... and this is just not possible, nor has it ever been.
on a sidenote .. directed towards them higher lvl players qqing bout dq drops... just open up a cat in starting cities and buy all dq drops for like 200 gold .. low lvls will love u for that... and its a cheap way to get some event gold....0 -

TT distribution is following: Tank - Healer - DD. Even if TT 1-2 would be so profitable (although TT mats are cheap now), then DD players will get even less than during solo farming time.
2.i play on ht and heard lots comment that it's one of the most expensive servers, and even there's you can decently gear yourself for under 5mil at 80s instead of paying 10mil+ for tt80 which is hard to resell in the first place.
3.its called the auction
4.it makes that much, I make it daily. And the picking order won't matter too much, the mats are all worth the same minus first boss and if you skip soulbanisher. That being said if you make some friends you can run regularly with, you don't need to split like that. I run some instances with old faction members and we just have 1 person sell and mail the split later.0 -

I said about items, that will be necessary to my character, i.e.:
1. Physical Defense (Cube) Necklace
2. Tome with - channeling
3. ☆Warsoul of Heaven
At least these. I play more than 1 day at PWI and I know may be more than you about Wizard if you say above words.
Edit:
Also my current items are better than TT80.
They have better addons.aquariusrain wrote: »...

About TT squads: nobody create them now. I not say about your solo run or about your friends. This is reality.0
