105 FC Glitchers will never be banned...

It has HUGE impact to balance of game. I think you are one of them.b:angry[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
while we're at it we should ban people from the naked glitch that happens.... regardless intentional or not it reveals things!
Lets also ban people for abusing skill glitches so much
Lets also ban people for porting through doors
hey while we're at it lets also ban the company for making the exploits in the first place knowing about them and not doing anything about it.
I called it they said it because it will simply make the QQ go down... you cannot ban the worst offenders and then ignore the rest. That is like a police officer arresting someone for more murder than the guy who lives next door.... because he was not a major offender of the law we simply won't arrest you.0 -
Lol. So this thread is basically saying;
'I made this game, if I **** up, you all get banned'
So, you're going to ban people for gaining 15 extra stat points AND detection pots put to use.
Now answer this, How many people glitched Armageddon in 3-3? People who duo or SOLO 3-3, pulled arma off the edge so he gets glitched, what happened to that? Ohh, it's a glitch, let it fly by for a few years.
So people cash shopping to get their gear, avoided glitching IF it was needed, people glitching FOR their gear, what happens to them? Nothing, once again.. avoiding ALL glitches in this game BESIDES FF.
If you're going to ban people for gaining 15 attribute points and the use of detection pots for popping sins out, then why not ban every single player in this game who did the following;
GLITCHING SKILLS - I'm sure this was abused by EVERY SINGLE person in this game, people get banned? No.
GLITCHING Arma - People ever get banned? No.
GLITCHING MEDAL OF GLORIES - People get banned? No, in fact a person on (insert server here) Had over 400 medal of glories, that day.
GLITCHING TT 1-(1-3), - People get banned? no.
Caster Nirvana - People banned? No, hey lets set up catshop and only use 1 talisman.
ETC ETC.
So, there's plenty of people who should be banned in this game BUT they will by pass this because they did not abuse FF glitch, but DID other glitches?
Either way this is going to be unfair whichever way you look at it.
I would laugh if Guild Wars 2 came out the next day LOL.0 -
i say ban them glitchers.b:angryDo you hate me? Good, that makes for an adequate conversation starter.

Frankie should just say "Were not going to ban anyone who glitched FC to 105 if they have spent over $500." Seriously HUGE, and I mean HUGE Cash shoppers seem to have immunity to bans... There's a Certain huge CSing wiz that has been known to drop +10 gear that obviously glitched to 105. Will he ever be banned? NO. Why? Because he splurges real life $$$ on this game. Really getting sick of people getting ban immunity because they CS.
Frankie already spoke on this matter. Why is it being brought up again? Also, it's not CS'er immunity. PW took the blame for the most part, they tossed out some short term bans, and "fixed" the glitch. What more do you expect here?
I try not to "flame" but this is clearly a QQ thread, and has been severely derailed. Why isn't this closed yet?0 -

Uhhhh...
1) Frankie will 'speak' on something, and then days, weeks, months, years go by and what he 'spoke' never happens.
2) It's kind of obvious that nobody freaking believes Frankie on this.
3) People are pissed for two reasons.
3a) A bunch of people glitched to 105 with impunity and are not getting punished, and they didn't glitch because they didn't want to get punished for it.
3b) The glitch got fixed, and since nobody has been banned for it, they want to do it now themselves.
4) If PWE isn't going to enforce their own TOU, then why even have it? If people can, as people have said in this thread, dump money into this game, and get immunity to ban, then what's the point of having the TOU in the first place? Is it just a boring wordy legalese decoration for someone's coffee table? Enforce it fairly or stop enforcing it at all.101 Sage Sin*/Archer

If they hadn't claimed it to be a "bannable offense" in the first place, no one would give a damn.
Well, the anti-powerleveling crowd might, but that's a different story.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
TBH, personally I don't care either way that much.
What does bother me is the inactivity of the GM's.

I'm all for banning the 105 glitchers. They didn't follow the ToS and should be banned permanently. It shouldn't be that hard to find them. Just browsing random people's achievements on the forum I've found several people that show leveling a char from 60-90 in about an hour. No way that was done without the goon glitch. (I've probably just made a few people decide to hide their achievements, lol)
I would be very surprised if the cheaters are permanently banned "in the near future". There isn't any reason they couldn't have starting banning people already. Lots of screenshots and tickets have been submitted, but nothing has come of it yet. It would be great if they were banned, but I'm not holding my breath.0 -
What kind of person would go around and tell on ppl breaking a rule that isn't bottering annyone annyway? The only reasons I can think of for betraying on others is envy, jalousy, enjoying making others feel missirable, trying to suck up to the staff... How is tis any diffirence then seeing a sibling or classmate doing something he/she shouldn't and go running to your mommy's/teachers to tell on them... Seriously... Let it go...
So they glitched and we haven't... Big deal... Am I the only non-glitcher out here with this kind of common sense? Geez it's not like they where harrasing ppl... They just broke a rule that shoudn't even botter those who didn't... Just because they're 105 now doesn't mean they're automaticly better then you either...[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

There were no negatives to this.
The GM should have just legalized it rather than say its banable then take 3-4 months to fix it. And their fix was kind of half-hearted imo as the exp nerf also effects the goons at the end.
Some people were mad that they couldn't do it themselves because of bad gear. Guess what?
With that gear they weren't gonna get 105 anyway. Or even think about it. But if this glitch was made legal then they could eventually do it when their gear was good enough.
Then there is the camp that don't like glitches of any kind and will follow the TOS no matter what due to morals in a video game or something. If the GMs made it legal, then these people would shut up and do it themselves.
Then we could stop the qq from this which will never end. We will probably get more problems if people start getting banned.0 -
Shouldn't have got to the point anyone needed banning. If PWI had pulled their fingers out as soon as they knew about it , it would have been fixed and done with before half the servers had time to glitch[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

People who think this glitch doesn't matter just don't know enough about the game. Being 105 versus being 100 makes a big difference. Not just in the obvious stealth/detection level either. You have 25 more points to distribute. That's a pretty significant amount of damage difference. You get hp and mp for every level without even distributing points. (not much, but you do get some) There's a level difference damage reduction. At 105, you never have to worry about getting or losing experience. I'm sure there's more than that, but I can't think of any right now.
Anybody that glitched to get to 105 deserves to be permanently banned.
They cheated!0 -
Ban em,
Their added levels make TW that much more difficult due to the added stats and perks alloted to level differences.
The added competition to compete to get into squads to do activities is tilted and in favour of someone who is higher in level due to added stats.
Taking advantage of a glitch when its a known fact it is one, and having the rest of the populace obey the developers, screams FU deves and community gamers, I'll do as I please to get ahead even if it means breaking the rules.
Banning them is one option. the other is to take away 5 levels and gimp them so their on an even playing field with the rest of the community who do follow gaming rules.0 -

Anyone that paid cash to play cheated, and PWE is the greatest benefactor of exploits. Also; they have set guidelines for handling abuses. To not follow those would be worse than what those goon babies did.0 -

You claim to know the game, yet you think 5 levels is a huge difference?
First of all you assume that everyone who is above level 100 has glitched, and that there is no way at all to get past level 100 without glitching. Realistically, anyone motivated enough to have glitched to 105 would have gotten to at least 102 in the half a year or more that the glitch has been known, thus making the difference in stats less than 15. There were plenty of level 103s a year ago, before the glitch. Let's just take me as an example, 4 levels behind. Pretty easy to get to lvl 101 at least right?
20 more points to distribute is not a "pretty significant amount of damage difference."
It adds about 20% more weapon damage for casters or 13% more weapon damage for physical attackers. Consider the fact that +12 R9 magic weapons with shards and rings are probably a bit less than 3k weapon damage, you gain about 1.5k base damage tops factoring in attack levels on a fully geared R9 caster. Considering the ~20k-25k base damage that endgame casters can have, that's not very significant. How much is a +20 stat tome on your server?
For physical attackers, it's a lot less than the damage difference between eating a elemental damage pill and not equipping it.
The most value you can attribute 4 extra def levels to is probably 2 jades...which is worth what? 200m? That might actually get you a +10 ring or two, congrats...I guess.
All that probably amounts to less than a lvl 7 tome, one piece out of many endgame gears...people can farm that in a single weekend...or merch that in a week or two.
Lastly, I honestly don't know who still cares about exp loss endgame.
Really, the magnitude of endgame spending and stats from gear far dwarfs the benefit from 4(or less) extra levels, it's you who needs to understand more about the game.Elena Costel: I wash my hands of this affair.

Elena is talking base damage, not final damage.
20 Mag on a caster adds 20% base damage.
20 Str/Dex on a melee/Sin/Archer adds 13% base damage.
However, in terms of final damage, that is nothing. For example, my sin has 451 dex. Adding 20 dex to that would give me ~2.7% more overall DPH. Of course, being that I'm a sin, I should also consider my sparked DPH, in which case the 20 stats will amount to ~1.3% more DPH.
On a Caster with 500 Mag, the additional 20 Mag would amount to ~3% more DPH.I am Olba. Not Ol, not Baze nor Blaze. And even less would I go by Olblaze. Please, take a second to read a person's username.

... You expect people to actually know that?
And personally find calling it "weapon damage" misleading since it includes all physical or magical attack before any multipliers, a large chunk of which comes from your rings. Actualy I heard you need a pretty damn awesome tank and good DD's for it or it would fail... And yes it is possible to be over 100 without glitching... My mom has 2 101 characters... And her cleric was already 101 over 1,5 year ago... Just so you know if you do enough normal FF runs you'll lvl eventual also... And may I remind you that there already was a lvl 105 sin before the glitch even came out...[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
