there will ALWAYs be gaps between rich and poor, IRL and in games. deal with it or move to soviet russia.
i for one thank the GMs, i had been farming rep since RT came out for r8. it was still months off for me. now i have it. did i CS? yeah a little, but i worked hard IRL for my money, big deal if i wanna spend it in a game. and if i spend hard earned money, i damn well BETTER get an advantage.
i guess the tl;dr is dont be so butthurt over PWE making something epic into something epically affordable to people that couldnt farm TT or nirvana (im looking at you casters)

You don't get it.
PWI has turned into pserver status.
You no longer need to work for anything. Cash shop your levels and then your gear. All of the game is effectively bypassed.
I have no problem with cash shopping or cash shoppers. Being able to buy everything in the game? What is the point?I post in forums. This one and others. That's why I post.0 -

Well games are suppose to give you a goal.
Some people goal was rank 8, they spent thousands to get rank 8. NOW rank 8 is only 72 gold.
Some people goal was a lunar ring, the day the person farmed it, anni packs gave them out for 1 gold
some people goal was to farm the helmet and boots from OHT past maps, same as the lunar ring all in cash shop
People get things to easy. People want a challenge i miss the challenge out of gearing people.0 -
I like the sale, I'm just cautiously optimistic and wonder what the catch is. I've dealt with non F2P failures that resulted from such giveaways like this.
However, that's not the reason others are QQing for the most part.0 -

i DO get it. i started heavens tear server when it was released. i know what playing USED to be like. i also know how insanely hard it was to get gear back then, especially considering i didnt CS on HT. the point im making is, i have a job, i cant spend all day farming for years to get something i want, so what if i want to throw some RL cash i WORKED HARD FOR to get the same result faster? point is, i was getting r8 anyway, this merely hastened the process by about 3 months.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

LOL, this thread wont affect them anyway, they will still QQ and trash this thread.
I wouldnt be surprise anyway, US economy is a fail and US game version get the beating too, from the greedy depersate company.
I tired other countries game version and they are much better than US version. face it, they just want ur money.0 -

only people with limited mind have this opinion. its not even about the rep in boutique in the end. it has a huge effect on whole market. people selling gold for 1,1mil and you gonna pay your part (sooner or later) for it as well. gold price rises = coin price rises.retired 11/11/2009 cause of packs. came back 8 months later just to realise it got worse. retired second time 10/11/2010.0 -

For me what left is testing earthguard and new fash that seem a lot better than the old ones because of engine upgrade.
I am actually has the money to buy those ranks but it's feel like betraying all my hard work at the same time and make all my friends who unable to purchase it left in the dust.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

What's the average price for a 25 rep badge now *thanks* to those sales ?
On RT I've seen people buying/selling them for 10-11k each.
Look at the positive side, were you really going to farm rank 9 without the sales ?
Even if you would as ultimate goal, how long that would take ?
Make it a new goal, farm the money the hardcore way, buy badges from CSers, bingo you get also your Rank 8 or Rank 9 without spending a dollar.
Of course it takes much in-game hard work than a CSer, but in the end it was the same for everything else.
You had to farm for your charms, you had to farm for your TTs, you had to farm for your D-Orbs, you had to farm for you Nix/Herc while the CSer was getting all those instant click.

PWI was going all well, the packs and other stuff was earning them alot of money anyway. X- mas was looming on the horizion and expansion release was geting alot of ppl exticed.
