I think one of the major problems with this sale is Frankie's bull**** explanation and removing the 1 mil cap on gold and raising it to 3.9 mil. Everything Frankie has said seems to contradict and the company is just saying that they want even more money like they weren't making enough from all the pack sales.

I agree with you about Frankie, but you don't really know how much they are making in revenue/shareholder equity because of pack sales. No one knows that doesn't have access to their books.

Based on the rise of gold price due to increase demand, the amount of tokens bought, and the amount of duke spam, the amount of zen charged during those times were more than average. And I would estimate that their profits from the pack and black Friday sales were quite high. However, you are right, no one can know for certain and my thoughts also have the flaw that I'm assuming the conditions on all the servers are fairly equal.

Gold price has nothing to do with their revenue though. Gold price correlates to how much F2P people are paying per 1 gold, as well as how much people who have 1 gold (not guaranteed this is zen buyers) are selling it for. Gold is not a liquid asset.

I would still say that it is a fairly good indicator, since it does encourage people to charge and just sell their gold for some quick coin. And my estimate is also based on two other factors; however, the amount of gold stockpiled by merchants does complicate things. I wonder how long that supply would last at the start of sales.

Also, I wonder what would the reaction be if Frankie said that the company isn't doing too well and needs more zen charged, rather than doing a sale like this that enrages players.

You never use the word "Yulk" and "intelligence" in the same sentence unless the words "isn't in ANY WAY" are inbetween them.

    Dear OP--

Learn to play, learn to troll, consult a doctor for that case of stupidity you seem to be suffering from.

your posts contain nothing but insults.

Ok I read through most of the posts. Explain to me how wanting OP, Uber, Leet gear to stay reserved for the upper tier without making it available to everyone and their mothers is communist.

how many times do i have to say this thread was not about communism? i will be ignoring all future questions about communism.
ok number 1, picking on my spelling is sad and beyond necessary it just proves how low you are. 2, look at the good sum of posts here and in the forums in general, how many people agree with you, how many don't? Ask in game also.

I'm pretty sure most of the answers coming back will be the same, I said most. But even most is still too much.

There wouldn't be any reason to be mad if there wasn't a problem is there? Now regarding gold prices, you are actually wrong Epros. Players set the prices yes, but the developers have a HUGE impact on the prices in general. It's a very complicated system, which I really don't feel like typing up right now. Moving on.

The perfect horns were terrible, I don't know what your smoking. Seriously... Your telling me running an instance/tw/talking in faction chat with "I'M SPAMING HORNS" HI NEWBS! popping up every 2 seconds? ...On-top of bidding hall, pack spam and wedding spam?
With that in mind, it would take away talking in game, or at least make it very difficult to read. If that's what you want....fine, continue playing pwib:chuckle

As for the rank 8/9 issue. Yes, effectively it WILL get boring, you are correct people did have rank 8 before, only a handful of people I might add. However those people worked very hard for the gear it was a "status" which kept them playing. Now that "status" is no longer special, the effect will diminish in time and as a result people will leave - If you want to argue about it, try waiting a few months and actually seeing what happens yourself.

On a side note, leveling to 80 is not difficult. FC and Hypers make leveling way too easy, ontop of CS and BH. It's anything but difficult. But hey this is just another issue with PWI, but we arn't going there so moving on.

Now going back to my above comment. Look at you, then look at the many, many people who are unhappy. I count about 20 threads... What does that say Epros? You may enjoy the game, but if things continue like then PWI is no better then a private server. In which case you can expect war soul weapons popping up next.b:bye

1st, being a smartass gets you nowhere with me. 2 not everyone posts on forums, asking ingame, most people on RT remain rather unaffected by the R8/R9 thing.

developers and GMs have absolutley NO say over gold price, that is 100% dependant on players. no one MADE you sell your gold for 1mil+ nothing STOPPED you from putting it at 100k. except maybe your OWN greed and selfishness. dont tell me that somewhere in china, they modified your selling price to **** off nonfactors they dont care about anyway.

who uses ingame chat for TW? major factions use vent for a reason, its faster than standing still long enough to type a message. this is a trerrible excuse for looking for something else to QQ about.

why should gear reflect "status"?is your epeen really so fragile you cant be seen with the same gear as someone else (OMG i like walked into TW, and i saw someone else with the SAME gear.......OMG it was soooooo embarrassing!)

if its so easy to level that way and you dont want to do it yourself then dont. but dont tell other players who want to use those tools for themselves that they cant or shouldnt.

id LOVE warsouls in the boutique. and already obsolete weapon to make more QQing and nerdrage threads? why should warsoul be impossible to get? if someone DID have it you would cry that they had it and were owning you on a regular basis.

dont worry, i called 911, WAAAHHHHHmbulance is on the way

Hah, yeah, he definitely wouldn't admit that. I do side though with those who point out PW's stock value. Not entirely, but they have quite a good argument.

what does stock value have to do with anything?

Because companies, especially video game developers and publishers, need investments. No investments = no assets since one person alone didn't contribute all the assets this company has. No assets = no ability to pay workers, pay for equipment.. company runs continuously into red ink, then fails. Investments are a way to keep short term companies afoot.

you should meet poohxbear on RT
    or veritas.
    or luciferV

all 3 of them have CSd enough alone to keep this game alive for 7 more years

tl;dr thread. Just gonna post this comment.
there will ALWAYs be gaps between rich and poor, IRL and in games. deal with it or move to soviet russia.

i for one thank the GMs, i had been farming rep since RT came out for r8. it was still months off for me. now i have it. did i CS? yeah a little, but i worked hard IRL for my money, big deal if i wanna spend it in a game. and if i spend hard earned money, i damn well BETTER get an advantage.

i guess the tl;dr is dont be so butthurt over PWE making something epic into something epically affordable to people that couldnt farm TT or nirvana (im looking at you casters)
Eh? If anything, PWI is turning MORE into a communist game. In the past, you had to work for your stuff(farming, for instance). Now anyone can just put their IRL money in the game and be even with the ones that worked hard for it.

I'm not sure how you define communist, but you seem to be viewing it backwards. b:surrender
