    idea for whips; have many types of whips: chain whips, spike whips, leather whips etc etc etc

    If you mean by have many types of whips different appearances for the Whip Weapon in general, then the only thing I could say is that I considered that and had in my mind before.

    So basically leather whip would be the lowest level whip, followed by spiked ones, then chain, then energy etc.

    shields... could be a separate weapon path and give them the ability to have a defence mode or put them in the path with the other big weapons and make them all have a defence mode, i prefer the former D:

    What do you mean by defense mode? Do you mean they give the best defense boosts like mag res and phy def.?

    I like the idea you have here. It is well thought out and very detailed. I would love to see such a race appear in PWI.

    I guess I can branch skills for NHs. Oh and Crono I was thinking of what ya said eariler. It could be a form like a barb turning into a tiger but they dont turn into one they just put their Jygans infront of them. As foxform and tiger form, their defense raises when in this mode. But for a weakpoint, if they move out of place then they default back to original stance and until the skill is pressed again. so like this http://www.armoredsolutions.com/photos/Police-Shield3.jpg but they're on one knee hiding fully behind it. A set of skills for only the jygans would not cancel this form out. Call it defense form?

    Seems good to me, but maybe instead of not being able to move in that form, just have movement slowed, and how much your movement is slowed by, is lessened every lvl of the skill.
    Also you could allow them to atk too but i dunno maybe atk speed slowed or dmg weakened or something. and it would be insta cast with no cool down since your just switching stances.
    Atks in defence mode could be limited to normal and maybe certain skills for that mode.
    And there could be a stamina meter for when you go into defence mode, and each time you take a hit, depending on the dmg, the stamina would go down, it would refill pretty quickly though.
    I say give NH's alot of buffs.
    I say allow sprinting too, and that would be based on the same stamina meter except in just goes down by a set amount while you use it. This could just be a skills for NH's or you could allow everyone to sprint, maybe a double tap forward and a double click.
    You know what else this game needs ( apart from self centered/targetted aoe's), the ability to jump back or just walk backwards. And allow movement, maybe slowed, while normal atking. But if you move out of atk range you stop atking. Making fighting alot more strategic.

    I'm back fellows! (hardly to miss lol . . .)

    Nice job everyone, we're getting closer and closer to our goal.
    A defense mode (or Defense Stance as skill name?) sounds promising.
    I'd stick with the fact that this Defense Mode counts for all STR weapon, so no single branch for shields. I mean, keep in mind that NHs are Pet Masters as well, we can't give them too much skills, can we =?

    And yes to being able to move slowly while in defense mode. And ofcourse, bonus physical and even magical defense while in this mode. That skill could be like an activate-able "Trap-AoE", aggroing all surrounding mobs/bosses, while debuffing them at the same time, so that the other party members and the NHs pet have it easier to kill the boss (since the NH in defense stance can't attack, to refill the missing spot) While the mode is active, the tanking NH "absorbs" or better "weakens" the force of the target.
    I wouldn't add a "stamina meter", let's just keep the game simple.
    While the NH in defense mode can't attack, the pet he owns is beneficial, making the Jyg NH pretty useful as tanker and in some ways even better as barbarians.
    And a jygean-using NH should have a restricted usage of pets and pet attacks, making that path itself not too overpowered.

    BTW, that defense mode reminded me kinda of the defense stance of footmen in wc3... Now I'm followed by the animation and the sound of that skill xD o.o

    And BTW BTW: Doesn't that just sound awesome?

    I haz it now. For NH you'd have the Jygen path and the lighter weapon path (Jinen?).
    Jyg NH would have a Defence stance/mode, where they can only do certain skills for defence stance and a slower normal atk. They'd have def related buffs and aoe shields skills. Eg. a huge aura(like the normal meditation) that is around the Jyg NH and all party members under it and each member will have a aura light up around them every now and again like bb/rb. dmg they recieve is reduced by a % Phy, or mag or both depending on which one used. costs same as bb/rb.

    Jin NH would have a Rage/atk mode. Where they get access to rage skills and they're atk speed is increased but defence is reduced, and they are faster. They will have an aoe increase atk or atk speed buff, a huge aura like circle is on the ground and any party members in it will have an increase to atk. and each member will have an aura light up around them every now and again like bb/rb. costs the same as BB/rb.



    SS would be the ones with the wraith summons. They would have a normal pet at first but after sacrificing a spark, it would transform with wraithyness lol and then BE ABLE to atk.(Not really sure about this part). Can be self canceled. After which it would take another spark to put it in atk mode again. I has its own skills you can teach it too. like veno pet. Can be healed and rezed by veno's and vice versa. If it dies, then you have to spark it again. same pet heals and rez as veno.

    Then they'd have another skill where they can take control of a mob but overshadowing it in the wraith state. Basically, the SS would be standing behind the mob, looking invisi like a sin with strings attached to the mob. And the mob control would drain away from chi overtime. When chi is finished or move canceled, the mob will die and and you'll still be in wraith state. If the mob dies however, you'll lose a % of you hp and mp and be knocked out of wraith state. You can only control a mob your lvl or lower and it can't be a boss or miniboss. Controlled mob haz its own moves and 1/or more moves depending on skill lvl. (at least one is aoe). can be healed by veno obviously not revived lol)
    Eg. SS lvl 60 controls a lvl 60 mob, uses mob till kill another mob. press skill to cancel control. Both mobs die, SS left in wraith mode with mp running out.

    First, thanks ^^ My defense mode idea was kinda crappy, I just realised, n you're pretty right. Buuuuuuuut, QQ at NHs without pets.... don't destroy my dream of being able to play a kick-**** close-combat hunter with pets. Not another caster with pets *rolleyes*
    But the BB/RB like stuff is amazing. We gotta work this out a bit more. Maybe take what I said in my previous post as a BB/RB skill in Defense Stance (of course weakened!), consuming chi instead of mana (since they're pretty low on it D:) + give them a chi gaining skill (like going in a blocking phase and each hit the NH receives, chi will be gained) + making venos more useful with lending hand :*)

    *rolleyes* You know, I thought of my own mmorpg already and when I've more time I'm writing down what I already got... my MMO is going to be so new generation typed and awesome... ;P xD And come on, classes need tweaking? PWE + improve/balance stuff? Ha, that's a good one.

    And what Chrono and joker said ftw. I guess we should open a new thread with the name "No new races/classes!" and lure all those annoying folks into that trap thread... there they can pwn themselves with always repeating statements...

    Neh..... I dunno, the pet thing just doesn't seem to work out in my mind other wise >.>
    but i like the chi gain when hit, could be a buff. And for Jyg's, they'd also have a defense amount apart from just dmg. I'd imagine they'd so some pretty terrible dmg.... which I don't like >.> cause 1st, they have defense mode + pet + phy class = dmg from person w/o pet, nerfed beyond imagination. Well it'd be only me and those choosing to spec def... those choosing atk would still do decent dmg... I dunno i don't wanna rely on pet. But here goes...

    Ok A defense pet made available when in atk mode, and a atk pet made available in def mode. That'd be the only requirement . Maybe pets gimps your dmg, like sacrifice this % of your dmg to make pet atk with that %. That way ppl who don't really wanna use pet win't have gimped damage w/o it. That's all i got..
    Sigh I thought out everything so well too... Now the SS are gimped again.

    Well, assuming that a Jyg NH deals the same damage as a common barbarian, and has the almost same defense, the pet and the tank NH together deal the same amount of damage as a barbarian... well at least that's what I've in my mind. And we could even restrict most of the pet skills (of my old skill tree) to Dex (Jinen) weapons only. Hm... we really have to think that over. When I've more time, I'll focus on a new skill tree.
    And the Specter, isn't that class fine now with its skills?

    and pet gimps your character's dmg but is made up to the same amount in pet dmg
    and pet can only be used in def and rage mode.

    For SS i say keep what i said b4 but i guess w/o the pet.
    Meaning you still have the mob possess thing. I won't give up that idea >.> fits too well with the wraith mode thing.

    I hope you restricted that to Jyg NHs only... otherwise ... well Dex NHs aren't supposed to use defense mode and stuff... and about gimping characters damage... with what I said it wouldn't be possible to use that. Meaning decreasing the dmg of dex NHs wouldn't match with the decreased damage of the tanker version. And Rage mode? We are getting closer and closer to Warriors... Thats not good.

    I didn't say anything against mob controlling, so no worries. I actually had a mob controlling skill in my skill tree, too. But I'm still thinking that that Wraith Mode thing is OP and not good.

    Hm, now that's good. I'm fine with that. But about that damage conversion... shouldnt be there at least a little increased damage bonus? Hm... wait, damage bonus isn't really that necessary, since any NH depends on the pet skills/ depends on the pet to execute several skills. And about atk/def pets, since there is always a choice between 2 possible pets (land, air, water) (if you consider my skill tree) one could be described as atk based pet and the other as def pet... Hmmm somehow something's still wrong ....

    Well actually i was trying to make it so that if you didn't want to use pets, you wouldn't suffer for it. So unlike Veno's who NEED pets, it would only be optional for us. I really wouldn't want us to steal pulling from veno's cause they already have to compete with genie's....
    So basically, the would be more of a personal tank or to atk when your preoccupied or lazy lol.

    Nice job, Kitten. And lol, the female Specter reminds me a bit of a tripping version of the Iustitia or any other legendary figure... xD And the male version reminds me a bit of some kind of genie/djinn :D (only with that skirt)
