A clone of MagicHamsta... wow. He's original but you're not.
Me are hibernating. *poof*0 -
Back to "rerailing" the topic...I'd have probably done the same thing. Tell 'em to suck it up, and maybe just stalk them a little to see how long I can keep riding their gravy train of free loot. Their loss; my gain; nothin' they can do about it.
b:chuckle[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Yeah, it's me. Don't read to much into it, though; I'm only here for myself now, killin' time and chillin' when need-be. So sue me. Tch...0 -

Things like this typically don't get to me either way. I've learned to accept that there are a great number of idiots out there, and that nothing I do will change that. If someone like this were to start giving me grief as in this situation, I would either say nothing and keep doing what I was doing, or tell them something like, "if you don't pick them up, I'm going to, your call".
The individual obviously didn't want the items and didn't care enough to take them, meaning I see no issue in anyone else picking them up. That being said, I think everyone gets too easily worked up over things like this, many times on both sides. I find it's not worth the time I would spend angry, when I could just keep having fun.0 -
I pick up stuff all the time that is laying around. Most of the time it is just coins. Ocassionally it is DQ items, mats or equipment.
Just like La Zorra, I don't like seeing stuff go to waste.
Generally the person who killed the monster for the drop will have had a fair chance to pick up the loot.
The only exception (that I can think of at the moment) to this would be if you kill something but it is close to another monster that is aggressive. In that case you might want to pick it up later on when that monster has moved away or you're ready to take on said monster.
Granted, we are relying only on Saitada & La Zorra's side of the story but judging on how he has been on the forums, in my mind he has a sense of honour and lying about the crux of the matter at hand i.e. threatening actual physical violence & death, doesn't fit his general behaviour.
On balance, I would believe him.

Oh I have screen shots of all of it. I sent them to PWI and will let them handle it.

I'd say that is the right course of action. You provide the evidence and let someone else make the final decision.
Perhaps receiving some kind of corrective action from PWI, warning, suspension or whatnot will lead to them behaving better in future because threatening behaviour like that, especially in those outlined circumstances, is unacceptable.
You can always hope....

We can't judge on who's brash who wasn't without whole conversation pictures. We can debate if its worth it to not pick up loot for the reason that killer might be taking advantage of a short term buff or take the loot as its timer is gone.0 -
lol was too lazy to read through wat everyone else posted but i read the OP and thats hilarious hahah stupid idiots.....damn kids!! lol
and long time Saitada O= b:bye0 -
It is unfortunate that some people will not accept responsibility for thier actions. People who make threats should be banned, after all in the real world they are incercerated.0

Couldnt you just blacklist them or ignore them? but then you couldnt make a topic about it...meh[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

it wouldn't surprise me if the person was provoked into making threats by the OP.
lack of responsibility? you can only push someone so far before they have to stick up for themselves.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
I have not had much time to spend in-game lately but I was by the new tide-born area. I was searching for the Magmite looking fellows.
Anyone know how they are comparable to the Magmite??
I really like the effect when the Tideborns turn into Maids out of water. Its funny to see the blue names outside of West Arch on display.
They are almost like bait sitting there. You go out and stroll near to take a look.
then......
BAMMMMMM, one-shot from above. b:chuckletatuaje: grinding mobs and zhenning ???

its actually a lack of responsibility by the OP for not turning the other cheek. Instead he called the person names and believes he is a responsible adult.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
thats what worries me so much...the numbers of very young children playing games online that are far too mature for them. i know this for certain, because they tell me their age, and, if i didnt stop them and give them some internet basics for kids, they would have told me where they live and much more. and almost always, they tell me their parents are unaware of just what PWI is, telling me their folks think its something disneyesque.
what sort of parents must they be, to let children that young have full run of the interent?!b:shockedTatuaje - Lost City wrote: »Sounds pretty much like a 13 year old playing the game and acts like they are some tough person.
Until the Ban card comes out and they start crying and say that its not their fault.
All I can say is, that's why I am glad I play on a PvP server.
*I agree, it is the fail of the parents in this situation. With the internet how it is now I find many parents are just ignorant to what their children are up to.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Personal responsibility is not the same as "turning the other cheek"
personal responsibility is accepting the consequences of your actions, and accepting that your actions are the cause of those consequences.
turning the other cheek is the opposite of personal responsibility, as the person to whom you are presenting the other cheek, who has just defied the first cheek, is not being asked to take responsibility for their action, but is instead being asked to tire themselves out by defiling your cheeks.
turning the other cheek is a non-retaliatory on the part of the reciever
personal responsibility is acceptance of reaction on the part of the initial giver.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

but isnt turning the other cheek a responsible move? instead of calling someone names?
i didnt actually say personal responsibility.. i said its a lack of responsibility of the OP for calling names.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

No. It's a sissy move.

Ah but WW3 would not meet the 3 criteria.
It may be profitable and quite questionable ???? but its far from lulz so WW3 is out of the question.tatuaje: grinding mobs and zhenning ???

No. It's totally lulz-worthy. You just gotta be able to laugh at those who said it wouldn't happen. There's your lulz, and there's your EPIC WIN.

Turning the other cheek=they get their way with you and whoever else they want to. Turning the other cheek is one of the worst options out there. If someone walked up to you and hit you, would you seriously just turn the other cheek and let him hit you again? How about if someone walked up and hit your wife/kid? "Oh well, I better not say anything, let's all just turn the other cheek".
Personally, I don't think Saitada acted out of turn in any way. I've had people threaten me online to do something to me IRL (and one of said people was friends with someone who would give them the necessary info if they meant the threat.) It's not a nice thing. And nothing should provoke you to threaten to kill someone.
The idiot yelled at his wife. He responded with calling the idiot a baby. The idiot threatened to kill him. It's clear who's in the wrong here.0 -

either way ..they are all losers for taking a fight seriously on the internet.
i would find more satisfaction in telling someone to bug off and ignoring them. After you ignore their names and insults are meaningless. They can keep saying what they want, but if you dont react to it.. then they have nothing else to fight you with. They are then powerless.
but really.. its both fault. I'm not saying the other person is not accountable.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
also for some people.. saying your going to kill someone is the same as your saying your going to beat them up.
Its not like your actually going to eat that horse......[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0
