As a guy with a R9,3+12 full jaded suit, I am a very unhappy customer. I mean VERY!
PWE has shot itself in the foot with this one.

1. You should not have released codes that can glitch.
2. You should not have wrecked the servers, Archosaur, roll-back issues, this is not allowed in a competitive business environment.
3. You should not have DENIED the users who pay for this game to run, the chance to get the code and break your own words towards the community.

Some of us have jobs, families, other day to day life activities and we dont check forums.

What you have done is pretty sad and ruins for many of us this lovely end of the year.

With a BlackFriday coming and Cyber Monday, I am 99.9% sure I will not charge any Dollars for PWI!

I have to agree with the above.

1. The code SHOULD NOT have been released until it was thouroughly tested.
2. You should've backed up ALL of the server data before implimenting a patch, fix, or update... that's common sense.
3. That's a given.

Finally, when Black Friday/Cyber Monday hit... I won't be putting money on this game, and trust me, I can well afford to. The only game that has a chance is MH, and it's still pretty slim. Most likely, I'll be spending those days shopping at a store, or on Amazon to buy gifts for the one person who means the most to me, and She actually plays this game... in fact, no more than 10 minutes ago, she asked me if I was going to be on for NW tonight, and told me I'd better not quit until the resolution was finalized.

Unless I hear that something happened as of Monday Night, I, like many others, may be persuing other games.

The ball is in the hands of PWE Staff, I wanna see if they try to make the touch down, or attempt to kick a field goal when they're at the 1 yard line of their own side of the field.

This compensation thing have some error, some in form of coding error with the website unable to handle the massive incoming request, and some in form of user error who somehow fail in activating their brains. b:chuckle

I know some people not like how this turns up, including me, but HTFU and go on.
No point in beating a dead horse, I bet the number of players quitting already gave PWE management some serious thinking on how to deal with future problems.

If you ask me, i really think its not fair, not good... if u ask me if i want to keep them, well i have 5 years playing this game, i love it, and never abused or cheated or glitched nothing the things i have no one gifted me, few or not that they are. So beyond the advantage i had couse the code glitch, if roll back occurs its ok with me, but i consider not fair with people who will loose what they got this days... if Gms take off refines or orbs or charms or anything i got from this code, its ok, couse i really dont deserve those things and i really dont want to be pointed...
But.... there is a reallity too...
I was in Warsong when people started getting orbs, one friend told me bout the code, i went to page and used. after using code, i continue warsong and people said "you can use more than one time the code..." and i said OMG!! and went and checked that, and got the "can redeem code in 10 minutes" so i did.... but page was slow i refreshed, i put code again, got same message i refreshed... i did several times.... when i began cleaning mailbox, mails entered, once and another time, couse all times i put code and refreshed...
So. I am a cheater? i am abuser?? u will ban me, couse your own mistake, couse u didnt check code or page, before releasing something like this?
Well i dunno if pwi will ban or punish people or not,.... i think they must punish themselves... couse wasnt people fault, was pwi programers fault.

Oh, so you don't think you're at fault, THOUGH the first post said use once, and you used multiple times. In fact you intended to use it once every 10 minutes. So let me ask you something, You get perscribed a pill that says take once every four hours, and you don't expect to get addicted or build up an immunity when you take one every 10 seconds, popping them like tic-tacs?

You abused the code like addicts abuse painkillers. You intended to gain an unfair advantage over others.

You deserve to be banned in my opinion.

Thanksgiving is always the fourth Thursday of November, so not until the 28th. I'm just going to assume you mean the Thanksgiving week, where most people are really busy with plans in the United States. b:chuckle

In the united states some people have the holiday off, which I do. My wife, however, who works the exact same job, just with different hours, does NOT. So some of us will work through the holiday, some of us will not, that is the way the ball bounces.

you used once ok it cleary sayed on web 1 per acc then 2nd time to check if true what ppl told but 3rd and more i would take as abuse reson you should stop after 2nd if your fair no mather what happens b:sad

Second i explained that when i got message and refreshed and website ask me again code account an password, i thought was couse page malfunctioning, couse lot of people trying to redeem code... not couse was a glitch. In this point, this kind of troubles happened before with dream codes or with bless page.... u try once and another time till u get the bless or the pack.

and i think i am not the only one that had this situation...

Dude, you entered a code without knowing what it did? Are you an idiot? Do you download programs and then go "Oh it's not my fault that they stole my information or made my computer explode because I didn't know what they would do"?

IGNORANCE IS NOT A VALID EXCUSE.

Maybe if you get banned, suspended or Permabanned, you will see the light, and start researching things before you DO them.

You can't just go out on the street and point a gun at a person, and say "Well I didn't know the shot would kill them, so it's their fault".

As for church, leave religion out of this. No one wants to get into debates on that, and it's sad that you'd try to pull something like that as a shield to protect yourself.

Think about it using "its ok" logic,
if you are robbed/assaulted in real life by a crook with a gun/knife/baseball bat, then you cannot have them charged as they are not responsible for their behaviour as they did not invent the gun/knife/baseball bat, but you must charge the makers/distributors of the gun/knife/baseball bat as they did not totally control every step of the weapons distribution and they should have.

You do know thats not how the real world works, and we are held responsible for ours actions with what ever tools we are given.

None of this will affect me personally either way, I will just move on when I am ready.
But I hate seeing honest folk screwed over by crooks and then the crooks trying to justifying it.

Funny how people now react like PWEs rules are sacred or something, i BET if you would have had the chance you would have cheated as well - just as most people probably had.
Seriously, its the same as when you buy 100 Zen and just see that you have 110 Zen although you didnt pay for them, or like people sending mails with items to your character simply because their alt had nearly the same name, you are getting like 10 Mil for free without even knowing why. Of course it would be nice if you send them back, but even if you wouldnt do you deserve a ban? Because OTHER people made an mistake?

If they ban people because of their own lazyness, they can start banning all who did things against the ToS.

Lets be serious, if someone pms you "Hey PWI gave away new codes for free stuff", and youre in a dungeon or something than you visit the site, take a few looks and take the code. And if it works again and again, you take the chance because no one is thinknig : "Hey free stuff id need months to get it without cash but i may not take it because other people could do that too and the game would be unbalanced and PWI will take away the code so nobody can get those anymore just because i took more than i should :O"
If people get the chance to get a huge amount of money because of a ****** glitch, they will take it. Easy as that. And i highly doubt anyone really thought in that moment about PWI taking away the code instead of just fixing it or that it will outbalanced the game that much.

Yeah, it was a bad thing and yeah, it was totally unfair. But it was mostly PWIs fault and the game is already extreme unbalanced if people can buy endgame-mats with their Visa. So it doesnt matter to me at all., and afterall Orbs are already way to expensive. I didnt get even one Mail on any account, and i doubt id get one even if the code would be fixed because the code-site is broken here most of the time. It would have been nice, but hell it doesnt matter that much.

i told my situation, not to avoid ban... just to show what happened to me, and for sure lot of people more.... but people afraid to tell their own situations just couse people like you, that are in witchhunt...

IT really is ultimately PWI's fault for **** up, people will take advantage of whatever they can and justify their actions after the fact by coming up with whatever biased logic they can. It's not their fault, but it IS pwi's fault for not responding appropriately.

Alright, First off, if someone sends me something, you better be darned sure that I wouldn't keep it. I don't know if it's a stolen item, and I'd rather not be implicated in scamming.

As for abuse, NO, I WOULD NOT. There's no point to it, and using a glitch to gain an unfair advantage takes the fun out of the game for me, which I can say with confidence, cause you can glitch the heck out of Sims 3 and Spore.

Third, I didn't abuse any codes, in fact, of my accounts that were logged on during the period I used 1 code for the 3 orbs that was sent to me, for my main account only. As for the others, they sit in my email waiting and collecting dust. I haven't used more than one code, because I don't want an unfair advantage, and PWI did not tell me that it was alright.

Glitching bosses, insulting others, etc, these things are left to GMs and Mods to deal with, not to me.

Which is probably a good thing, because in my mind it's Good or Bad, there is no in between.

If i had been in the GMs shoes, you would know what the answer was if you abused the code, based on how long you abused it would be the base of your ban. PERIOD.b:angry


As for you trying to justify it based on "well They broke the code"... the code was not broken, the site was. The coding, which was probably Java based or Perl based got funked up. It happens, and you don't always see it coming, stop blaming PWI if you abused the funking code.

As for breaking TOS, it doesn't matter if you break TOS or not, smarty pants. IT SAYS IN TOS THAT YOU CAN BE BANNED FOR ANY OR NO REASON.

You wanna quote TOS loosely, I suggest you read it, or go watch my video explaining it on youtube.
