    My favourite anime is Honey&Clover o.o not sure if anyone ever heard of that.
    As for cartoons I'd go with OBAN star-racers and Avatar The Last Airbender and..The Powerpuff Girls >:D

    I liked the original avatar more, but I think that's because the characters had a lot more time to be developed. 3 seasons of 20 or so episodes is a lot more time than 1 season of 12 (which I watched in 1 insomnia filled night a couple days ago)

    The original allowed a progression of Aang being a master airbender but not very mature and slowly learning to harness the other elements and reach his true potential. Zuko and Iroh are complex characters, as is Azula.

    Korra herself got less development than even Toph or Iroh in ATLA, never mind Aang, Katara, Sokka, or Zuko.

    I'm looking forward to seeing what they do in the upcoming season though.

    Agreed, though Korra was enjoyable.

    They completely missed out on the perfect ending that could have set up a season two, instead of that deus ex machina **** ending we got. Think about it. She's there on the cliff, crying, everyone's lost their bending, she's lost hers aside from air. A hand appears on her shoulder and we see Aang. Fade to black. Boom, perfect ending. Would have let them start season 2 with her re-learning her bending or whatever and we coulda gotten good character development. Possibly even more backstory to how Aang did as Avatar before Korra took over. I'm hoping season 2 seriously makes up for it.

    Agreed. The way the season ended there's no primary antagonist obviously available and no real remaining problem. The beauty of ATLA is that it was continuous. Season one lead into season two which lead into season three, and while there were clear differences they can't be made independent of one another and still hold the same significance, though they are still are separate story lines with their own climaxes.

    I suppose with the first season of ALOK they may not have known they'd be offered a second season so they needed to sum it all up, I think it really detracted from the ability to connect them well. Even ATLA still had the thing about Zuko's mother left open ended allowing for the possibility of more even though they'd had 3 seasons and had completed the task they'd set out to accomplish from the beginning.
