    Honestly, I don't think any of the forum members hate the new layout because people normally react badly to changes. I believe they hate it because it was a poorly made one.

    There is a lot that needs to be tweaked, as well as old glitches that were never fixed (and shouldn't have been broken in the first place) that need to be addressed.

    Taking from the feedback people are giving so far, the colors could go darker, font type and size back to what it was the version before and so on.

    Also: Why axe the Troll avatars? they were definitely a nice addition.

    I logged into the forum in the middle of something, for a while there were no posts more recent than a year ago and the mystic seeker forums were gone. But everything came back after a while and now we're left with this new color scheme.

    It seems they're changing the basic avatar, you can see it in the avatar menu now... it's some stone face or something. Maybe other avatars will be revamped too?

    They did the same thing last time, too. You'd think they'd at least give us a preview or something so we could make suggestions on what needed to be fixed BEFORE they made it change for everyone.


    And they're probably just jealous of those of us who are permatrolls, so they want to get rid of us. Love how the troll background completely clashes with the forum BG now. b:chuckle

    And said "tweaking" should happen on a development system before hitting production. Basic project management, there. I think that's a lot of the reason for complaints. And deploying on Friday is generally considered poor practice in most places. b:shutup

    Well.. hope if they really update avatars they take the time to fix broken ones too.
    Ijs... my bm never had an avatar and everwhere I tried to look for help I got ignored lol

    And sometimes I see my own ava.. sometimes I don't.. Randomness ftw.

    Yes. The text in my sig pic isn't as legible anymore, either. And it wasn't a work of legibility in the first place, with how much resizing and hacknchop had to take place. b:sad

    The standard post font size needs to be substantially larger for comfortable reading. The size prior to the change was good.

    I like the overall look of the new font face (Verdana never looked attractive to me), but its overall size and spacing is less than that of Verdana at a given size, so you might even consider bumping the font size to a higher value than it used to be.

    Making the standard post font a brighter colour would also help by improving contrast.

    And as others have pointed out, the difference between the current page and other pages on the pager widget is far too subtle.

    Apart from readability issues, I quite like the new look. It feels modern, the colour is reminiscent of soil, and different page elements appear more like part of a cohesive design.

    The page navigation bar isn't the best.

    For threads that have multiple pages, teh colour which shows the current page is too similar to the links of pages that you can navigate to.

    Makes it a little more difficult to tell from each other at a glance without looking very closely.

    Don't worry, that's normal with me. lol I didn't have one with the old layout, the tideborn layout or the very first one either b:surrender I'm just the king of faceless I guess xD

    And Asterelle, I like the new sig even better than the old one :)
