Server rollback?

If anything, the rankings should tell who is obviously abusing the glitch. Lots of 103s and 104s, and most weren't even close to it before the glitch.

Will bans be issued? Its PW.....so meh....

i no atleast 2 ppl who used this glitch to 105 be4 any1 else knew about it both are on lost city

There is no "skill" in TW anymore, and hasn't been for a looooooooooooooooooong time. TW is simply, whoever has the most R9s, wins.

You can't claim to know people who glitched to 105 before everyone else knew about it when the top ranks on LC is dominated by sins. To do this you would have to have a proper squad, and not just a bunch of sins. Certainly more than one non-sin class would be up there on the rankings if what you claimed is true, but that is not the case is it? There's only Elayne on top 10, and Elayne reached 105 way after Kitamura did.

The GMs won't ban the people exploiting this glitch and the reason has sort of been hinted at in someone's post.

As stated, there are only a handful of people on each server who can successfully make use of this glitch. These people are probably uber-geared. Know what that means? Those people have a high chance of being cash-shoppers. Which means (as if we all didn't know) these people put money into this game. Face it, as far as banning goes, the GMs/devs/whatever are biased towards those who make them rich. Banning your mass customers = bad for business.

Another thing, this glitch increases charm and hyper sales = good for business.

So, okay, let's try another end. You still don't think it's "fair". You think the people exploiting the glitch should be banned because they didn't "work for their exp". I'd have to disagree. To successfully get exp from this glitch, you have to do some leg work and your timing and squad members have to be just right.

Still, you say "So? I don't like this. It's not fair. QQ". What do you expect them to do? It's not like they're going to ban everyone that's a high level. They can't tally up your exp-earned and the time it took to get it and boot you out of the game for life.

Face it. This game is a business, and that's all it comes down to.

What? Mostly just takes a more traditional squad setup+some pots+coordination. You don't have to be uber skilled/geared to take advantage of the glitch(unless you are doing big boy pulls). If it was so hard there wouldn't be world chat call-outs for dragoon glitch squads every 5 seconds.

Not really. Know a bunch of ppl with average or poor gear doing it fine with apos. They aren't pulling +500 mobs ofcourse, but still enough to get good exp.

I can name about 7+ ppl from HT miraculously lvling from 102 to 104-105 in a mere week or 2.

If you wish to know their names, just check the rankings. If you know HT well, then the names should be obvious. :P

Yes Knownase are you surprised by the lack of action of this company? I am finding the miraculous nature of this leveling epidemic absolutely incredible

Perfect World (the main company) is even proving right now that the players work faster than a company in making use of features... sorry I mean uselessness in a 2 year old thing that like usual isn't fixed in the game to achieve interesting results.

While useless community managers not mentioned here keep repeating the same garbage over and over again. It is incredible I must say. b:laugh

Ok so lets list all the things it breaks:
- Wanted Quest System
- PW's new Void Feature quest system that went in with the Genesis patch
- Normal quests
- Doing normal FC for any point at all
- Doing Delta at any normal point AT ALL
- Doing the new PV instance at any point at all (it was a complete waste of time anyway)

Do you think a certain community member who writes in red is doing a wonderful job I think he is doing a wonderful (*cough* poke it with a stick and see what happens) job. He keeps coming out and saying ToS, ToS and more ToS but very little is done.

Its all very amusing ISN'T IT? I really am finding new levels of... I think the correct word is "noncomplacency" being demonstrated by the United States arm of Perfect World.

The big deal isn't the level the big deal is with with Perfect World International just like the medal issue.

Hey you might of seen the earlier posts about certain other companies battle with gold bots... that's good for a laugh because its been going on for 4 years, and I bet if this was a P2P MMO (which in some ways it certainly is) there should be more player sort of demand, protest and outcry.

Why don't we all just suck it up and move on with our lives??? It has already been established PWI has does not care for it's player base nor do they plan too. May as well just go with the flow and see what happens down the road. And again I say regardless of incompetence the only people this should effect are other assassins that PvP.

Frankie has little to no power when it comes to changing codes and in-game things like that, at least without authorization, which, obviously, responds to burocracy delays as well. You ranting wont make much of a change in this thread. You think ranting here and calling it incompetent will be seen by frankie or any GM as pressure for the company? Not even the devs will see your rant, nor will they ever care, since they are obviously focused on doing things that will make more money for the company. It's not PWEs fault, nor Obama, nor the IMF. It's the bloody economic system we live in, if you don't like it, just call it quits and spare the earth ur 160 pounds.

I remember on final fantasy 11 when people were exploiting a salvage glitch, everyone said "there's too many people, they wont do anything cos they would lose too much money".

Square Enix hired a team to go through all the data logs and about a month later 150+ of the best geared players were perm banned, good times.

I won't use this glitch for that reason, sometimes companies surprise you

I was actually just about to post about that same exact thing. b:shutup

The difference here is that SE was charging players the same amount every month, while PWE collects differing amounts of money based on how much each player chooses to spend.

In the end, PWE is really in a bad spot. On one hand, if they ban people who have abused the exploit (a real ban, not a week long vacation), they stand to lose out on a lot of money, particularly if those people were heavy cashshoppers. On the other hand, if they do nothing, they are showing that they really aren't in control of their game and that their rules mean nothing. SE chose to lay down the hammer and assert that they were the ones in charge. I have no idea how PWE will actually handle it (and I don't really consider a couple days to a week long suspension to be an actual punishment), but if they don't stand strong on this and punish the abusers, they will pretty much prove that all of their rules are meaningless as long as you're tossing enough cash their way.

Are the GMs going to ban the people that aren't their mass-consumers and leave their money-makers safe and sound? Maybe. And if this happens, then what? I doubt it will go over well.

I guess basically what I'm trying to say is that if the GMs try to ban anyone for this, they're only hurting the company itself.

The only real option for them to save face would be to legitimize the glitch and make it legal for everyone. Personally, imo, if your squad can handle it, have at it. Legitimizing it lets them keep their players without risking having to punish high spenders, it lets people who already did it keep the experience they gained, and it lets everyone else have the opportunity to do it for themselves. (Note that that was a big problem with the Medal fiasco: people who came in later were screwed and did not have the same opportunity others had).

The dragoons are in an instance, not the open world. People can spend the entire day killing these if they choose to at absolutely zero detriment to anyone else.
