One of the few reasons that still kept me playing my BM is now gone, thanks Devs.
Now I got 2 Demon skills that have no earthly business in my skill bar. Like BMs didn't have enough useless skills as is.

I wont get into this, I will just say the general reason that I'm concerned about Bm ccing and not sins is because you guys are basically walking exploits already.b:shutup
I'm not a BM but it was always great seeing skilled BMs take on far better geared opponents and win with just the right timing of skills and CC, the act takes skill to be used successfully. Unlike certain..other..things...0 -
Was doing some stuff trying to CC. At first, I thought I was **** it up even though it comes naturally.
Then I paid close attention and realized that it wasn't me. Just to make sure, I went on the forums and saw this thread.
GJ, devs. Way to crew over BMs even more.0 -
I approve of fixing glitches. People shouldn't have to rely on exploiting glitches for pvp or pve balance. If a class is weak their skills should be buffed.
This actually helps out alot against sins since they can glitch cancel powerdash while still in stealth.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Because sins totally need that to roll any other class anyway right? BMs on the other hand... it was something that at least gave us a bit of balance.0 -

*facepalm* CCing is to bm's as pulling is to venos, both started as glitches but we're later openly accepted by the gm's and stated as beign part of the class and not an exploitable glitch.
So what just happened was not a "fix" and there was no buffGifs are hard to make work here0 -

Shoulda removed pet pulling instead... it'd be a lot more fun to buttsex the venos, just sayin'.0 -
Okay....
BM 101 - No more CC Cyclone and Drake's Breath Bash.
Seeker 100 - No more CC Voidstep and Quid Quo Pro.
Sin 92 - No more CC Powerdash.
**** you, PW. **** you.0 -
Ast is saying if a class is weak, their skills should be improved. Not as in player skill if that's what you thought she meant.
Really I think the chances of BM's CC-able skills coming back is about as much as BMs getting some skills buffed (and while they're at it...some useless skills in other classes should get looked at...).Elena Costel: I wash my hands of this affair.

No, what ast said is above
Never did i mention player skill though god knows it WAS needed to pvp on a bm. Read my post a bit better eh?Gifs are hard to make work here0 -
I don't see how pet pulling is a glitch, and pulling certainly doesn't factor as much into the veno's class as CC to other classes, what with Earthflame and all.Elena Costel: I wash my hands of this affair.

Except it wasn't a glitch. It was something built into the game where the buff came when channeling the skill. Yes it was an exploit of the programming but almost three years later is not the time to change the programming and **** a class over. If it is, skills like demon Sunder also shouldn't crit on themselves because the buff should come after the attack. Demon cleric's Wield Thunder shouldn't debuff the mob until after the hit and not gain the extra dmg.
The only reason more people aren't in an uproar about this is because it was only used by a few skilled players. It was the best way to tell if a BM was competitent and knew his class or not.
For pve, you can look forward to more spark spamming bms, lower dmg output and slower BHs and Nirvanas. I ran a vana earlier tonight and between sparks and debuffs kept falling short on chi. My choices were either use cloud eruption and forego using tangling mire or slowly build back up two sparks for my next HF, so you'll be seeing less HFs since its dropped our aps. Less amps, lower dmg, less skill to play the class. People enjoy other classes than theirs being nerfed but since BMs are helpful in farming I can see mat prices going up, hurting everyone. Have fun with that.
Also wanted to point out that a GM said using safety lock to prevent pk item drop was as much an exploit as CCing a skill, defending it when people asked if it was bannable.Seven 100+ characters leveled the hard way. Free to play. Mystic, Psychic, and Wizard left to level. b:victory0 -
If CCing was never meant to be used, then we should also restrict weapons for all classes to what they were meant to use.
Exploits should all be dealt with fairly. Or don't deal with them at all.0 -

It was originaly a glitch with pet aggro however it was so widely used that the devs just said **** it aand it became part of the class. The same was done with CCing. This is equivilant to haveing a class skill removed.
Earthflame was added to balance the veno pull glitch. You can tell that the devs were aware of CCing by looking at sin skills, mainly RDS note htat unlike every other chi/buff skill it only gains sparks AFTER hitting the target. This was to prevent wholesale exploitation and literal infinite chi. Any CCable skill was added intentionaly as a part of class balance and design since you know. This has been around for 3 damn years.Gifs are hard to make work here0 -
I also agree with fixing this exploit, and yes It was a exploit so it was bound to happen.
You were never supposed to cancel a skill and still get the buff regardless of how fair/unfair the buff was.
I hope this means that they are going to start bug/exploit fixing, what I completely disapprove is that they never said a single word about it, submarine patch anyone?. this kind of fixes need to be mentioned on the patch notes, but that did not ahppen so they either did not know about it (my best guess) or they knew about it and keep us in the dark as usual.0 -
OK I get it. I'm sure they'll come up with something in 3 more years.
They're prolly patting themselves in the back right now because they finally figured out how to fix this "exploit"...I wonder if we'll get a ninja patch that finally enforces PvP reduction on pet flesh ream.

I am angry only for 1 reason.
In the end, I decided on demon as cheapest aps possible.
I did however assume that after enough time and farming for everything I would ever need, I could always switch over to sage later. To be honest, sage is like awesomeness to me, except that they need pan gu to reach 5aps.
No more cancel casting means I have literally no desire to ever play as a sage, which now destroys my desire to even keep playing to end game. So GG pwi. Can go **** yerselves, will not add another cent to the game.0 -

This wouldn't be so bad if they had done two things.
1: Put it in the patch notes visibly.
2. Overhaul the skills of the classes this affected to rebalance them for this change.
Since neither of the two were done, not to mention the latter being less likely than having a meteorite blast through your skull with you somehow remaining unharmed, well... you can take a guess how most skilled BMs will feel about this, as well as those that understand this game fairly well.0 -

I would not mind they fixing pulling, IMO you were never mean to 'CALL' a single mob out of a group, you were supposed to face them all, and pretty sure thats what it was intended, so yea I want that exploit fixed too.
And yea pulling is a exploit in my book.0 -
Call it whatever you want, but if this is an exploit and it got fixed, then ALL the other exploits should be fixed. Lets start with getting those archers and barbs back together with their bows and axes.
They were OBVIOUSLY never meant to use those weapons, they don't even have masteries for them! Therefore, use of such weapons is an exploit that should be "fixed".0 -

So. you think it would be cool to do 2-x Wurlord without pulling? Or maybe fight Ofo and all his adds at the same time?0 -

You're a day late and a dollar short.
Also, Rank 9 axes are one of the best weapons in the game. Highly refined, you can now kill Rank 9 anything with them. AA and LA classes can be one-shot again.

Yes I would not mind, call me old school or whatever, but I think thats how you were supposed to do them. In fact I would not mind if bosses respawned their minions every now and then. IMO those bosses were supposed to be a challenge. Also wurlord shadow clones are nowhere near as tough as the real one.
