Petition to remove Jones Blessings

...And put Dominance Blessings back into the game. The Jones blessings unbalance pvp by giving mages/psychics the ability to one-shot everything with fairly minimal effort, and destroy's the Barb's usefulness as a pvp tank. At the same time, they don't give barbs a high enough damage increase that they can actually be useful as a DD in TW's, except for the occasional armageddon (or if they have R9+12).
Jones blessings ruin class roles, by making barb tanking absolutely pointless. A barb IS NOT A TANK as long as Jones blessings are in the game. There is no point in even learning the skill Flesh Ream. Barbs need fists to hold aggro. It overpowers assasins by giving them so much DPS that they can solo instances and bosses simply by activating bloodpaint and going afk (coming back to press eruption every 12 seconds).
It removes the incentive to buy any armor at all, the majority of people in pvp just get a +10 weapon and mold armors, resulting in unfun pvp where everything dies within 3-4 seconds, charmed or not. This is not enjoyable pvp.
It skews the usefulness of certain attack and defense level buffs, Seekers have a HUGE defensive advantage in pvp that puts them almost at barb-level (just without invoke, of course) because of their ability to negate Jone's blessing with a single buff. Without Jones, stacking defense levels loses much of its usefulness because of diminishing returns.
Let us use Jones/Dominance blessings ONLY in pve instances, where they are greatly appreciated. But please don't ruin pvp just so we can make pve a little easier. Having balanced PvP encourages players to both invest in the game more and stay playing longer, keeping the game healthier overall. I know some of you don't pvp at all, BUT pvp'ers still comprise a significant portion of the playerbase.
In short, let us use Jones/Dominance Blessings in instances, but not in PVP.

If board petitions worked, this game would have a lot fewer problems than it does. >_> And you'll never achieve class balance without lowering the aps cap as well.

make it so that you can get a +30atk / or 15/15/ or +30 defense ... and after u get it u have to wait 2 weeks before getting another 1 so u have to do a week without the jones... this would make things interesting b:laugh0

R9's already hit like a nuclear bomb. With Jones they basically one-shot everything. But this is a good point.
However, using Jones is a bad way to balance the situation, because R9's have a default +20 defense level from gears, as well as more from DOD's. This cancels out Jone's blessings which puts us in the same situation as before, except the R9's still keep their +30 attack lvl because it's unlikely that non-R9's can afford to buy defense levels like the R9's can.
Without jones blessings, R9's still have their +20 defense level, but it is less of a gap. +100 defense level only reduces damage by around 66% if the attacker does not have any attack levels. This means that defense gems are not as useful and the cheaper citrine/vit stones become better without so many attack levels running around.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I miss the Anniversary Blessing I loved the Defense Level bonus b:sad
I don't mind the Jone's Blessing but there should be an option to have one with +30 defense level that would be nifty especially for the squishy cleric b:thanks
I would agree with the OP, but honestly it really isn't going to do much. Everyone with a FB account can get a Jones Blessing, so equal access to all. Even if they DID remove it completely, the APS people are still going to have the advantage tanking. I can really say about the PvP issue is, although take into consideration that Rank gear and aps continue to have the advantage in PvP.

Until you can actually deal with 5 aps by using it in PvE and fighting ON AN EVEN LEVEL people with it in PvP then you really don't know what you're talking about. Because of the situation on the Chinese servers players are able to refine weapons and armor to very high numbers without much effort. Jones blessings are a way of balancing our server with theirs.
That and...Stop complaining, even if there is no real reason they are in game doesn't mean you should complain like there is no tomorrow, some of us are thankful for them. If you want fairness ask for a counter blessing, not to remove them all together, bunch of sorry spoiled selfish little....b:scorn...We are one, We are many, We are watching you...b:scorn0 -

That would be the same situation as all the Chinese refiniing all their weapons to +12, but leaving their armors at +0. How does that balance our server with theirs? I would understand if it gave us +30 attk level AND +30 defense level.

So you're implying that I lack some magical clandestine knowledge because I don't equip those gears myself? I have several high-aps friends and have squadded with my fair share of 5.0s in most instance types (short of Nirvana, but don't tell me I need to attend a 5min Nirvana run to declare them broken). Your statement still stands? How in the world does a +30 Jones blessing = all +10 refined armors and weapons like in China? Jones only increases the damage you do, not the damage you can take.
Also just to emphasize this point again, I want to keep jones for pve, OR replace them with dominance blessings, which offer both +10 attack level and +10 defense level, which compensates for the US server's lower refines on both armor and weapons.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I do miss the dominance blessings we got in instances, but that worked when there was no jones blessing you could get daily. So adding a defense blessing would be the best option I think. >.<
Also, how is lvl 97 not endgame? It would be different if he was in his 60's or something...
Anyways. The reason r9 has so much of the attack and defense lvls is because no one was even able to get enough rep for the 60 armor most of the time. Before the rep sale, people hardly even knew r9 existed because it was so far away. After the sale however and with the jones blessings, attack and defense lvl is just another thing that is **** up stuff. >.< I like the jade of steady def, dots, dods and all. But having the set bonuses of armor being so much attack and def lvl is insane. The nirvana set bonus is even a lot. b:shutup[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
