well i wanted to here u guys thoughts on why so many high levels QQ about people who buy power leveling... i mean its there money right and there getting what they paid for... so why is it such a bad thing... and more importantly why do you care... i run a business on arch server ..and you know im tired of people raining on my parade because they dont approve of power leveling... i mean if u want some to QQ about why not QQ about how over powered sins are cause in my eyes that is the only thing off it this game.... and if ur on the arch server u kno how our sins our... i mean even in duels they open with stuns like LOL nice test of strengh... anyway what are your thoughts on power leveling... GOOD and BAD. theres always pro;s to cons... so try to tell a double sided story ... and to be honest when u think about it buying gold is the same as power leveling lmao ive went threw this game without power leveling im a level 92 wizard AND ive never purchased any gold... to be honest im rich by seer vision... i had a dream and i acomplished it... but instead of being happy for a player such as my self ... people try hard to ruin something they cant affect... :/ i mean you try makeing a 9x character with a net worth of over 500mil without purchaseing any gold... far as im concerned im the only person in arch server to do this... i crown myself king. i am a legend. but on to the point... whats ur thoughts on power leveling

I'm going to be uncharacteristically blunt here. You just basically proved why people don't like powerleveling. If I were on your server (seriously, that is - I have an Arch character but he's 32), I can tell you I wouldn't be impressed by your "net worth" or your ability to merch things. Nor would I be impressed by your level, given the ease of leveling in this day and age (even without powerleveling). That you expect people to be impressed by these things is the exact reason people hate powerleveling.

Aside from that, people who powerlevel instantly lose my favor because... IMO... it shows a complete lack of patience and maturity, on the level of a twelve-year-old. And twelve-year-olds on video games are exasperating, because most of them are just concerned with appearing "cool" to the established players, which would lead them to make up rumors such as..... oh, I dunno, having a net worth of 500mil after 3 months of gameplay. >_>

And the Enter key is your friend, man.

The Good. For those of us that already have a few high-level (95+) toons, it's nice to skip over the middle stuff. We're already familiar with game-mechanics and just need to adapt to the new skills.

The Bad. People who aren't really familiar with the game mechanics, who are new to the game, or are unable to figure out new skills, or learn to properly level them before being counted on in a squad situation, **** up the game experience for those of us that do actually know how to play. Which is why there is SO much QQing about it.

By the 80's a cleric should know to purify on Clacid, Wyvern, Drake, Glutt, Nob, and Pole.
A veno should have Amp and Lending hands and know how/when to use them.
BM's, Sins, Psy's, Wizards, and Archers, regardless of APS or DD power should know how to fight a boss without taking aggro.

Sadly, the bad is more common than the good. Hence the QQing.

Post on a toon that people would recognize (i'd remember someone who used 200 teles a week) and to further that point january 2011-April 2011 =/= 7-8 months. People value maturity, not your pixelated achievements. And maturity is self-evident. You wouldn't feel a need to post all that extra stuff about your "net worth" and level if you didn't think it'd help your case for powerleveling.

Then again, childishness can often be self-evident as well... as proven by your sentence structure (or lack thereof).

but wouldnt maturity also be ... reading this topic .. and actually staying on topic and posting something that counts... i mean if u feel the erge to post on the irrelavants and not what was asked (pro;s and con's of power leveling) the maturity person would just leave it alone ^^ +1 for me? that puts my score at 7 now.... sorry cant count :/

on topic meaning telling you how epic you are ?

i think he is on topic. to me, this topic appears to me someone looking for attention without bringing any proof at all to their claims, and he is simply stating that whether what you are saying is true or not, the way you say it strongly implies a lack of maturity

so therefore, he is on topic

The "topic" was the pros and cons of powerleveling. Behavior like yours is a clearly-presentable "con." I'm not off-topic just because you don't like what I'm saying.

Oh but please, do continue to keep "score" every time you make a post. It's doing wonders for your supposed maturity. o.o

I do as well. I have even held my barb at 85 and do FCC training runs on him to teach new characters techniques. But yea, we need more Epic players. Players that not only have good gear, but know how to play and are willing to help. they are just too few these days.

Your behavior is a perfect example of the kind of player powerleveling produces. That is a con of powerleveling and therefore that was on-topic. I said as much in my first post. What's the mystery here?

hmmm i find this little debate quite entertaining. anyways on to my personal thoughts.

i personally see nothing from with older players power leveling. after all older players been around long enuf to know mechanics such as aggro, and when it's the best time to use certain skills. this goes double or triple for the older players that have several characters leveled up the old fashoned way. after all, to go thoght the exact same chain of quests can be a tad tedious. altho perosnally i wouldn't start power leveling until i hit level 60 or so, that way i know for sure i have a good idea how to play the class. that and seeing how i have very limited time to play sometimes, after reaching level 60 leveling becomes agonizingly slow so i throw one or 2 mil to power level every now and then.

however, what's happening now is a new generation of players are poping up who:
    1. think barbs hold arrgo just from being there in the party.
2.think roar is a worthless skill.
    3. would use aoe aggro skills on said barb, so when ceric heals, all hell breaks loose.
    4. archers that NEVER use normal shots, just hard hitting skills even when a barb isn't in sqaud to keep aggro in check.
    5. archers that don't use STA at the start of a boss fight.
    6. venos that can't lure
    7. venos without purge or amp
    8. clerics that only throw up BB
    9. clerics that never purify.
    10. sins that can't regulate aggro.
    11. classes that fail to use stuns and freezes on runners.

i'm sure there is ALOT more, but i'm sure you guys get the idea. not only are there now brand spankin new players who level their characters from level 1 to 90 in the natter of days who don't know how to play their class, they also have a complete and utter lack of core knowledge. things like heal aggro is something that is learned from a VERY early stage in the game, but some players are not even aware that ceric can take aggro by healing, that is just inexcusable. if new guys are going to power level, they should at LEAST wait until level 70 or something on their first toon, and then power level. in addtion to this, when players who know better try to correct them, they arrogantly flaunt their higher level status as tho it means they know more than you.

no one is perfect, even guys who been around for a long time fail from time to time and these individuals admit when they make a mistake (normally). instead it's more common for players (the new guys) to try to shift the blame to someone else, even when it's clearly their fault.

damn i'm long winded today. sorryb:surrender
