    The only DD classes that don't get a repair bill usually are;

    Veno
    Cleric (If they are healing/DD'ing)
    Archer
    Psychic
    Wizard

Only way most of them will get a repair bill is during a random arggo in a dungeon, or they out in the world grinding on quest mobs. Which even then, most of the mobs drop dead BEFORE they even reach any of the above mentioned classes.

    Ahem...

This totally depends on some assumptions you have made, like their build: For example, the stereotype solo-archer build is all about killing monsters before they get hit, and has some great economies.

But, personally, I do not use that build, and I do not play that way. (No insults please, I have my own goals for playing and I understand how to play my character reasonably well, and insults do not help either of us.) And, my repair bills almost always exceed the value of my drops (except in Nirvana). A 60k repair bill is not uncommon for me for an hour or two of play. Anyways I have had to resort to the merchant game just to be able to afford to play... but I do not enjoy merchanting enough. (And, yes, I do pick up coins also, but I also sometimes have to use healing or mana supplies...)

    Totally agree.

My Wizard sometimes pay up to 20k after long fights.

    Tank has his expenses.

The majority of players I meet are the "pure" type build.
Veno is usually the only exception I see on that list because i've seen their AA, LA, and HA build players. They all work well, but it all depends on how well the player can do that build.

ok here's another idea for rewards that may calm everyone's nerves...

    repair potions~!

I seriously doubt they'll go as far as creating new items for this reward system. You can expect to be able to acquire some existing items, nothing else.

and the rampant pessimism on these boards, while somewhat deserved, is not helping to foster a positive response by Gms or DEVs. Frankie already seemed like people actually putting forth ideas or being imaginative was worth the attention, so why can't we just keep the positive trend going and stop pre-excluding people's ideas just because your view of the company is that they ONLY care or think about their wallets and perniciously seek to exploit the players.

i know im being a bit too optimistic for many of you, but if the general climate of these boards was more encouraging than critical, then i think the people who run this game would have no choice but do better and aim for better of their own volition. think about it, you want a child to do their homework, does reminding them how stupid they are make them do it, no. you can also threaten the child, but then the homework will only be done under threat of violence ( which is not a really good end for any behavior modification method ) so you really only establish that you dictate action and not the drive/want for said action. so let's just keep it positive, people still play, i do at least, and they still enjoy it.

Yeah but making a new NPC with new shop/exchange thing is easy but making new items isn't. So that's why we assume it's not very likely to see new items when the old ones are well enough.

I didn't hear anything about it being in-game...I thought frankie said it would be a site-based shop...maybe I misread...
...Certain DQ items, when vendored at NPCs, will not only give you in-game coins, but also "Dragon Points" on our site. Once you accumulate enough of these points, you will then be able to redeem them for various in-game items!...

    Nope.

My point still stands. Creating new items takes quite a while but making just a website exchange thing isn't hard; creating the 'points' system is the hardest thing.

Seems odd that the trade of DQ items (aka, in-game items) will occur "on our site" (= website?), for other "in-game items".

Oh well, still am excited to see what comes of this.

I would assume that the reason for making it something on the site is that they can't actually edit the game content without permission from PWE China...and they were the ones that instituted the price drop in the first place. This is just something that our GMs here are doing for us.

Is there any more information you can give us frankie, like an example trade we might use or about how many DQs would be required for a low level reward?

Without more information, there's nothing to really discuss, so people will continue to speculate.

I did see some people wondering if we would be creating brand new items as prizes; the answer to this is no-- all prizes are currently existing items, at least for now.

Also, the system is still in development and we're still working out specific numbers, so I can't really divulge that info at this time. I will try to get you more info on it as it becomes more concrete though.

    Again consider doing 1 DQ npc'd = 1 Event Silver :)

Me too, though as an only add to it: Only DQ's in (or near) your character's level range should give 1 event silver upon vendoring.

Using the website to accumulate points and redeem items will without a doubt cause all kinds of unforeseen problems.

While I do love fashion, I perhaps would agree that celestial insignias should be one of the DQP redeemable items so that if you want it, it's obtainable, and since you can use insignias for other things as well (theoretically x_x).
