Gosh, great post Red.

Being on the forums for over a year now, its just sad to see how things have gone.
The forums used to be a happy place with a troll here or there.
Trolls were actually genuine back then and made people laugh.

We've been hurt by our own (Konari) and by so many other people.
All the good moderators have been either fired, kicked, or just left on their own.

I'm giving them a chance, because I always hope for a brighter forum.
Lets just see how things work now

I do appreciate all the votes for mod, it's great to know I have your support.

But on the equal side of the coin, you guys, I'm not fit enough to be a moderator. I have trolled on these forums, slandered fellow members and resorted to insults where I possibly should not have done.

If I am going to be honest about this company, I am going to be honest about myself; if I was offered a moderator position, I would not take it for this reason. I have not been an outstanding member and more then once have I caused a fight where I should not have done.

This community and this forum deserves moderators with a far cleaner slate then I have.

Again, the support is great. But honesty does have to go both ways.

Heh, I wasn't necessarily lying when I questioned whether it was easier for Frankie to target me simply because I have not been the best of members in the past, shall we say. It was a quite legitimate question. Of course, I've never been banned and, unless my recent honesty grants me one, I never intend to be. I've not been that bad.

Just, not been good enough to be a decent moderator for this community, either.

Of course, if the answer is because I haven't always been an upstanding community member of the forums, that still continues to reflect rather badly on Frankie for only choosing to pick me out and tell me to not be so honest.

Aryanna set the standard bar. She moderated other forums too, including this one, and did so on her own. She made plenty of mistakes in doing so, but in that situation I can imagine any of us would.

The claim that they know us, the game and the forum set the bar even higher. When you set your own standards, you'd best be sure you can meet them.

Aryanna was a great mod by far out of many that have gone through these forums.
I agree, she was not perfect.
She was stern at times, but you knew you could trust her.

To be honest, whenever there was forum trouble, I'd always PM her in-forum.
Not any other mod or GM, it was her.

I agree, I think Aryanna is a good model as a standard bar like you said.
Lets see if the new mods are below or above it.

And I don't disagree with you on these points. They made rather bold statements. Time, and really not much of it, will tell whether or not this is the case.

I'm not saying I'm ready to hold a vote of no-confidence just yet, they haven't proven themselves yet. We should at least let them try. A little perhaps. Yes, that's even coming from me. lol
