To be fair, it was from 40% to 10%. The rest was from just being an all around suicidal maniac trying to kill Harpy with Sid and trying to get drops from Harpy when Kenji quit (got me a 30mil worth warsoul helm for my archer at least )

But yeah, 100 deaths in 300+ runs over 2 months sounds about right
Like I said, most were failed ADs on the first boss, wrong mobs on the white/black mob boss, or messing up on tyrant then going back with no holy path while the party is running around for their lives and you try to keep them alive while rezzing the tank I'm far from being a one shot due to random aggro or anything along those lines

I dont know anyone who is serious in nirvana (or endgame-ish things), that wants just average gear on their main much less settle at that.

While going to Nirv, I never check the cleric's gear... Usually there's a barb with me so I know no matter how low the hp is it will be enough to survive 1 shot from single aoes.

Whenever there's a DD I don't know in squad, I always look at their gear. You can keep me alive just as fine with a lame ref scaredevil versus your +7 nirv Galive. It won't matter... If the DD got **** gear there is almost no way they could compensate.

rev have little benefit, only thing it benefits is other people's exp saved. I never invested on leveling revive because it is a waste of money and it should of saved exp loss from like 50-70% until sage demon version where all exp is saved. Besides, other skills are more important to keep yourself and others alive. Rev is the last priority for a cleric imho. Keeping people alive in the first place is more practical.

So what if I am a lazy cleric, I have a sort of lazy wiz b:surrender spamming morning dew in squads.

All I mainly do is stream rejuvenation > 2x IH, sit and recover MP for 15 secs and rinse and repeat.

As for wiz, morning dew spam b:dirty

I learned how to be a lazy barb too. FR > spam med till 43 MP and FR again (kinda difficult to do) I done it while tanking in TT1-1, done it once... I don't think it was really practical not trying that again, too risky b:chuckle

100+ people care much less about xp, so nobody really cares about the xp loss from non 11 rez (i never did anyway) its nice for higher level instances where dying happens kind of often, places you needn't worry about, just keep on mastering BH39 and 5x dueling techniques, and keep telling everyone how to play the game, i promise nobody is laughing at you every time you post.

Yeah, he's not really that bright you see. I mean, patch notes have always been released AFTER maintenance... and for someone playing for as long as he has, would obviously know that much, cause he's so pro and everything. b:chuckle

*facepalm*... I barely even do BH39, BH is yawn fest... I can complete that when I get sleepy. No real accomplishment in BHs, and wow your a veno too b:surrender . Now I'll check patch notes later, forums getting boring again lol

But they are 5 compared to 1 cleric, so they must die 5 times in total to justify only one of your mistakes. So stop making it sound like the DDs are the stupid ones making all the mistakes and cleric does none, so even when cleric dies it was DDers mistake.

If the squad does some pull and mobs jump on cleric when he/she was supposed to heal, then it was DD/Tank fault for not aggroing all of them. However if the cleric pulls a mob by mistake and dies it wasn't their fault, even more if they save the cleric you should be grateful especially if they died in the end doing it. And at least consider a level 11 res because of that.


Also one more interesting point people don't realize. Level 11 res isn't 20 mil from a NPC, it is sold by players for that price. If it wasn't worth it, price would lower. Therefore, yes it is worth the 20 mil spent on it, like others said you'll be more "loved" with it and get into more squads. You can justify here your reason for not wanting it all you want, people will still prefer level 11 res clerics unless they are ****.

heh i thought of a fix for this while reading through this (only made it to the end of page 3, i hate reading 13+ pages of a thread of anything)...

if i were a cleric and there were a squad wipe, i would have the person(s) responsible for the wipe come back to town with me. if just the archer (or w/e) b/c they shot the boss then they died and the barb died b/c i hadnt had time to get IHB stacked on him (and etc etc on down the chain), then that archer would be going to town with me. if everyone failed, everyone come to town. but if the wipe were b/c of my error, i'd gladly be the only one to go to town.


come to think of it, i may just implement this if i ever seriously play my cleric lol. maybe then people'll actually learn from their mistakes instead of not think about their mistake and just cry for a res so they can repeat same mistake again.


but on topic of the lv11 res thing, 20m for that skill is B.S. and i've already told my most trusted clerics that i'd give them the book if it fit their culti and i got it from a boss. thats just how much i think its B.S. to charge cleric 20 mil for a skill thats going to help you not them

20 mil for a skill that wont allow me to solo some TTs (5aps bm/archer/sins, herc venos) no thanks...i make no money from it while you do.

getting better gear and better weapon does in fact has more importance then your exp that we (should) care less about when noone cares about our own loss.

A expertly geared cleric can in fact hold their own against mobs others can tank for a really really long time if they know what they are doing, in fact some might be able to kill those mobs on their own. (Shut up troll we arnt ALWAYS helped by others)

Metal mages are capable of holding their own if they spend the same about of money on gear as 5aps peeps.

Noone is saying they wont have revive period, just not a high level one, you still dont have to go to town and cleric will still lose exp so suck it up.

Weapons make heals more powerful, i rather spend my money wisely...

Of all the things a person can spend money on, Dont compare your NEED to kill bosses faster and survive longer under the UNEEDED 20 mil skill that is only used when someone has died. (sure wish they had that stronger heal eh?)

I closed the thread because I have arrived to my conclusion for which I looking for. While it was still active, it had arises many interesting views about Cleric which was off the topic.
