LOL'D @ toilet cleaner
Who would you reasonably delegate it to? A ...software tester? Implying that there are specific people employed that test the updates? If so let us flame them. But honestly, I don't know how it works.
I want to know the full corporate structure of the company and everyone's email address lol0 -

I do like the FPS meter and ping on the tool bar I got that in another RPG.Looking for a decent casual understanding Faction.0

I agree that the chat labels are not necessary or at least don't need to take up so much space. Maybe smaller but distinct icons can replace them.
The name color being the same for all chat types creates a break in the line. It can get confusing if you have different chat lines stacked up on top of each other. Too many colors.
Lilura: I much prefer having a single color message line.
I'm guessing that those two things were done to address the people who change their chat color like talking in general chat using the same faction chat blue which was annoying.
[Gen] Bobsled: Blah blah blah blah.
COLOR="Lime"]Squad[/COLOR Lilura: But if you already have the chat label or icon,
[Guild] JackOLantern: Blah blah blah blah.
[Market] EvenSteven: Blah blah blah.
COLOR="MediumTurquoise"]Guild[/COLOR Lilura: you won't need to have a different color for the character name to distinguish
the entire message line from the rest.
[System] DeathToDuke: Blah blah blah blah.
Of course, these are things already said numerous times.
Something I didn't see in the pages I read was the inability to cancel a message by pressing ESC. Now, I have to delete the whole message or switch chat modes and back to remove the text. I want my ESC button back.
Another thing was the genie bars. They don't show up while they charge up. They only show up when the meters are full. You lose the point of having the bars. Might as well just have numbers there and reduce the clutter. But no, I want the bars to work like before. They are good quick visual aids. There is also something funky going on with the infuse bar.
Also mentioned already is the new type style. Obviously in many applications, the type is too big to fit the containers. In the case of the hp/mp/genie bars, they block a good portion of the bars. I end up having to check using the tiny bars above my character's head which I don't like cause it's yet another thing to turn off when I'm taking a screenshot.0 -
Well guys and girls, I am quitting PWI, the UI is causing me to have headaches after a hour playing so i would like to say
Thanks very much to PWE for everything, i hope the game continues but unfortunately you have destroyed it for me.0 -
As it would appear, the company does not understand what their customers want their UI to look like. So could they give us the option to customize our own fonts other than bold/non-bold and sizes?
How about you make it so we get to choose the font colours (I don't mean for everyone else to see, like the silly horns, but like how a FL category can be changed uniquely for only you to see. Maybe I want all my squad chats to appear purple, but nobody else would know that's how I see it - hypothetically), font type, size (More than just those few options), labels or no labels (honestly, I thought that was the dumbest part - does PWI really think we're so stupid as not understand the colour coordination to a point where we needed to have them labeled too??), and maybe even the chat window's width.
I don't see how this would be too difficult to program as all they'd have to do is implement the possible options in our menus. After a while, you'd be surprised as to how many people stick with the default rather than changing them once we have the freedom to do so - but the fact is that they want that freedom, utilized or not.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Airyll - Dreamweaver wrote: »The irony is, Kanto then came along and said he tested patches, and then he came along and said GMs didn't test anything.
I want to say he was being sarcastic, but most of me believes him when he says they don't test anything. It's pretty obvious they don't, anyway.
I think the mis-communication lies in the labels of our positions.
In our company, GM has a very narrow definition--
GMs work to enforce the rules and resolve customers' support tickets. They do not test patches or fix bugs. Some examples of GMs are BearClaw, Grimli, and Usagi.
Kantorek is not a GM, as his job involves working with the latest patches and new features in the game.
To you guys, GM is everybody who works here at PWE in California, and this blanket category is where the confusion lies.0 -

The problem there lies in that when any one of you post, you get an avatar that says "GM" so we cant tell any of you apart for your different departments.0 -

don't act like its 1200 lines of code to fix all it is is changing the font styling/sizes and gaps etc, just like coding a website. it took me less than a day to redesign a website completely using CSS and hell im not even that fluent in it lol
Im not gonna defend them on the changes... but HTML and CSS are ridiculously simple compared to how much you have to do to create an actual UI, so yeah very likely it a few thousand lines of code just to make what you see0 -
I'm getting really bored... I'm not logging in to the game becuz of all the FAIL going on... hoping it will be fixed, or at least smooth out so that the game is actually playable.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Thanks XRipetidex for the awesome sig!

If all GMs have the same tag on their avatars, but only one of them actually has anything to do with testing/coding, then the tags need to be fixed to reflect who does what.
Frankie wouldn't catch our hate if Kanto's the one who lets **** filter through when poor patches are implimented (such as the UI fiasco with patch 390).Some people risk to employ me

I just like the item linking. aaaannd i also like... well, theres nothing else i like. Making TW pay into mirages is the worst thing you can do..0

Glad to see someone at least caught my cynicism.
**** the UI issues, someone needs to murder whoever came up with the idea to have Duke Blacke shout every single little pointless thing. Nobody gives a damn to hear a minute by minute play of the bidding hall. As if the packs aren't bad enough, at least those were more sporadic.Don't be jealous of my boogie.0 -
still same ew font n ew guild tags

Being in a higher resolution things have worked well since the borked up big patch....yes the labels for faction, world, team are annoying but can be adjusted to.
Frankie, I only have one question for you please You fixed the genies a little bit but you still cant infuse with spirit, xp cubes etc. Do you know possibly when this will be fixed? Its the only thing left to fix on it for now. I would greatly appreciate a response, wyc of course. To the trollers, yes I know I probably wont hear anything right away cause its the weekend. =P
Thanks!0 -

I thought I was just being too dramatic, but apparently I'm not the only one getting a minor headache from the font.... It really is bad enough that I had to take a break till it's fixed =/
The item linking really is useful though.0 -
Item linking, fine, now you can see what someone is trying to sell you, very, very good.
Ugly fail text font is ugly and fail, CHANGE IT NOWb:angry0 -
i think the whole "Guild" chat notification is not needed. the only good thing was the item linking. some stuff thats not a big deal i found too were, the genies have no life bar for the stamina, and the exp bar is like 12 times the normal sizeDark for fear of failure

I don't like it, can't lie to myself. b:cry
The labels are unnecessary and take too much space but item linking option is nice.0 -
So it's that time of the week again....
please please please please please give us a maintenance that sizes down the text in my mailbox, I miss my subjects! b:cry And I miss seeing what I'm searching for in the auction house. Four or five letters just isn't enough. New font is fine, but it doesn't have to be quite that big in those locations, please.
You opened this thread, so I'm hoping you care about the feedback. Although I guess it could be just a place to channel it to save the mods a lot of headaches.
But see what you've done? I miss the non-large print mail so much I've been reduced to begging. b:surrender[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Hi frankie,
I am wondering if any thoughts on removing the chat tags are being considered. There's been 65 pages of discussion, with most people absolutely loathing it. Personally, I find it so obnoxious I can't bear to log on more than just to do marriage quest. Are you taking in these opinions and weighing the options of removing the tags, or are we stuck with them for good?[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
This post by FrankieRaye made me rofl. Such an obvious lie.FrankieRaye wrote:Yes we test every patch before releasing it, in fact this is why this particular one got delayed--it brought a ton of new features that we needed extra time to test.

Yep that's all this company dishes out. Lies, lies, packs, and more lies.0
