BHs are a joke. There's no challenge in running an instance 20+ levels below you while having beefed up gears and pretty much anyone who honestly thinks otherwise was never around when the game had real challenges in it.




Oh and none of us complained about ourselves leveling too fast. We earned our EXP the hard way and learned to play our classes to the fullest during that time. Having everyone else suddenly power up to us? Hey that's cool too. Means more people to squad with, better quality PK, and more fun in general. Having them turn out to have no clue on the basics of their class (87 cleric getting killed by Quingzi), having utterly pathetic equipment (92 psychic running around in level 5X gear), and generally causing us to work harder to cover for their ****-ups when we're unfortunate enough to squad with them? That right there... is a problem and one we don't appreciate.

I'd rather squad with a lvl 5x or 6x that really know his/her class than a 9x that has no clue.

@OP: I liked it the old school way as well. So much emphasis on BH now leaves the grinding fields empty- and if I had time to do more than WQ that's where I'd be.

I don't mind BHs that much because they force players to learn their role in a group. Maybe if the exp you got was nurfed they would be a little more balanced.

But it would be fun to have a server with no hypers and no packs. I'll even go for no genies, just to make things more fun.

Sadly, as stated above, it would be a huuuuge money sink for PW, so I really doubt it will happen.

@Yulk has it occured to you why BMs have so many skills? Its cuz they have 4 weapons and they only need 1 weapon and 1 skill tree to progress. and you will get too much spirits later on.

@Okeano you can sell your spirits in the form of genies but its more of a gambling thing.

Done wraithgate unwined for bh59 (pyro) at 72. No barb even (veno was though, for pulls).

Result? 2 wasted hours & almost fell asleep.

Challenging? I'd say more like same thing over and over and over and over again.

Totally a waste of time. Rebirth though is challenging and tons of fun. Repeating the same thing over and over (grinding or doing unwined high-lvl fbs/bhs) is boring and frustrating, not challenging.

@ Borsuc I suggest that you do not play mmo ever again( unless its like perfect world where you can buy your power/gears without the need to farm them at all). mmo is associated to grinding and grinding is all about doing the same stuff over and over again.
even if you want to keep playing this game, i hope that you do not reach lvl 100 soon because what you would be doing is the same thing over and over again. you say that rebirth is fun, but its actually the same thing over and over again....get the point?

@ Yulk , thats because you have not even done anything hard in this game yet. if you want to grind, i would suggest getting a veno since they are the best at grinding....they can even afk grind. and Yulk, please do not try out an assassin or a psychic, or you'll be stuck at lvl xx grinding out the amount of coins needed to max out all of their skills.

The purpose of having all the weapon specific skills is for PvP at later levels. You are not high enough in level yet to really need all of them. At your level, the only skills you should really be focusing on is your AoE's (axe) so you can do AoE grinding. Trust me, I only leveled a few of my skills for a long time, and now I have more SP than I can handle. Several of my skills are already maxed, and the only problems I have now are just money because I suck at merchanting and I don't CS.

You don't need to level all of your skills. Level the important ones, and slow down you progress for those few if you want. But there is no need to stay at 45 for one month just to get all of your skills leveled. It will only get more difficult later on to level them all as you will keep getting more skills that will cost even more spirit. If I remember right, my 59 skills would cost around 100k spirit each, and that was just for level 1. You will have more 59 skills than I did, so what do you think it will be like for you?

You are saying simply because a person has a low level avatar that they know nothing about the game? My avatar here is level 47, but if you look at my profile, this is clearly not my highest level.

Even profiles with low levels on them can't prove much since its possible to not display characters you don't want to. Avatar level isn't everything.

He can't. He's admittedly a fail mage. TT is too hard for him. Grinding is too hard for him. He wants a daily quest for coins. If anything, he wants an easy mode game. Easier than we have it now. Of course he's not gonna like these ideas at all. It's 'too much work for him'. Whatever that's supposed to mean.

No, it seems that the consensus is that we want the significant changes since the genies were introduced to be removed. I have no problems with the psychics or assassins.

Get rid of packs, genies, blessings, BH and Hyper. Return Lunar and Frost to the way it used to be. No 2x drops, no 2x exp. None of that ****.

In my opinion, slower means of leveling up that the game had before had the purpose of weeding out the really bad players. If someone is stupid, he/she simply can't get far. No one would like a bad player in FB squads, a bad player would lose more exp while attempting to grind because of deaths, would probably miss out on squad grinds and zhen as well. You simply can't get high level easily if you are unwilling to learn.

Personally, the game would have been quite better if the packs, oracles in boutique, BHs, marriage quests and other hyper stones (among others) were to not be implemented ever.

I don't think I would reroll to another server. ten characters, all active, no mules, are taking too much of my time already. The only thing I know is that I've always leveled very slowly and carefully with the old-school way and it remains one of my little prides in here.

I guess I will be dissed for it, but as long as I am satisfied with it and not annoying others the way my bro does (hiya to him, btw), why should there be arguments?

But yeah, a 'hard mode server' (this shows how much the game evolved, eh?) could be nice, even if unlikely.

Why not just play in MY-EN or MS(is it still alive)? And those are true international servers too. They have no bh/nirvana/tb. They do have easy fc/hard mode lunar/genies. Afaik, MY-EN hasn't had a new box in 5-6 months.

Unless you guys secretly want pwe to re-implement all these stuff eventually when it gets "too hard".

This is a game based on skill. Whenever skill is at play, the longer you do something, the more skillful you become. It's pretty much unavoidable.

I disagree. Running BH does little to improve on skill. It teaches you repitition. Unlike grinding mobs where you find yourself in various scenarios... a BH is pretty constant. You wine, removing almost all obstacles, you have the luxury of having a healer and a tank and DD. The only two people that actually have to have any skill are the healer and the tank. You play follow the leader to maximize your wine fee and do the bosses in the right order. You also learn how to teleport back and fourth a lot. Tactics and dynamics aren't learned, they're mimicked.

Many people who go through the whole daily/bh/hyper leveling don't even learn which skills are appropriate for what situations and spam them, don't level them, or just don't know them at all.

Grinding is situational, and various mobs in various quests teach you far more about your skills and class than running the same BH instance over and over. The use of particular skills, combos and tactics are reinforced by using them over and over.

9/10 times you can tell these hyper nubs just from observing their actions in squad.

Ok, rambling and strayed a bit, but I do disagree with your statements. You don't hand keys to a car to someone who just got their license and expect them to drive on the highway at night during a thunderstorm. Or, expect them to win a Winston Cup. Most likely they'll total the car in broad daylight on a deserted intersection running into a pole cause they had to send a text or change a cd. Skill is something that is learned gradually over a long period of time, not something you master in an instant.

Although I never spent more then 3 hours in there...was too much and had to be done individually for each person needing the items -.-
